| GOW needs to stay as an offline game. I think trying to do to much with a game, Single player and online, takes away from one or the other. Example Black Ops, online is as expected and the story line was garbage. |

An RPG with God of War characters / heroes but not necessarily Kratos as playable character could be pretty awesome, especially if its like Diablo 2 LoD! |

| Gotta love this new era of video games. Just throw together whatever franchise you've got with a cheap multiplayer aspect and watch the sales numbers jump! Don't even worry about those game crippling bugs either, we can just release a patch next week to coincide with our first DLC bundle! |

| I still need to be God of War 2 and 3 the HD collections and God of War 3 came out about the same time range and hadn't had time to beat them until this year i just not that long ago beat God Of War one, and need too do the 2 and 3 i hope if it is god of war 4 or something like that, that it dosen't come out for a while. Could be interesting too see though if it dose become online. |

| What this article fails to point out is that Sony Santa Monica was the developer of Warhawk, so why would a job posting that mentions nothing about GoW have to be for a online GoW game? My guess is they are planning an expansion for Warhawk or it's for a new IP. |

i agree with you frist Assassins Creed and now maybe God of War all i got to say is GTFO online can now officially got to HELL! i'm so glad that Batman Arkham City decided not to add online multiplayer. Online multiplayer is OVERRATED. |

| GOW needs to stay SP only. Look at this list of games that were ruined by adding MP: Resident Evil,Dead Space. So I doubt Santa Monica would be adding GOW strickly for MP. GOW is known for its SP and adding MP would be a mistake. I swear if GOW 4 has MP I will scream. End of GOW 3 the secret Cinamatic :Kratos is nowhere to found" So there maybe a GOW 4. |

| @8 what about uncharted 2? that tried to do too much and it succeeded.. online was awesome and single player was better than the first one.. there are exceptions, although i agree with you guys that perhaps this will be a pretty big failure IF its either correct.. for all you know it could be a new IP like mentioned in the article, don't jump to conclusions and don't expect this game out until late 2012/early 2013 if they are only just advertising for jobs now.. |

Boring. Pointless. Waste of time for both developers and players. I hope it's a new ip because honestly God Of War is getting redundant. Ooooh Kratos is angry again...
The one thing I hate about God Of War the most is that you HAVE to watch the cut scenes, I honestly don't find the story to be anything special. Versus something like MGS or Uncharted. |

| Though I doubt they'll actually be putting GOW online unless its in the same way of Dante's Inferno. With arena challenges where you create your own arena and can play co-op with a different character. |

| I really really REALLY hope this isn't a God of war 4 with an online option...but I'm at the point where I think games should split anyway (to save them some money). I believe if they want to focus online, don't make a single player, if your going for a single player story, don't go online. Work on DLC instead. Saves us from crappy single/online for one or the other, and saves them money for not having to waste resources into something no one is gonna really care about... |

| Im tired of buying a game and can never platinum it because there are bullshit online trophies. If I want to play a online game Ill play Socom or Call of Duty. If they ruin God of War with online I will never buy another. I have every one of them on PS2 and PS3. If it comes out with online just the hell with it, no more for me. |

| Like so many others, I can't see how MP is supposed to add an enjoyable dimension to this game. Only thing I can imagine would be the possibility of going Online in the Challenges...but it would most likely still suck... |

@26: You can't say that RE and DS were ruined by MP if the MP is not the sole focus of the game or the main selling point. RE5 gave players the option to have their AI partner be played by a human rather than brainless AI that takes all your ammo and healing herbs (Ashley from RE4!) and the Versus mode was DLC. DS2 pumps up it's story more than anything, it's just an added bonus/whatever that it also has competitive multi-player that you don't have to play.
Back on topic: If this is a new GoW game i'll be really torn cause I thought GoW3 was such a perfect way to end the series (key word END). As another poster said here Sony SM also produced Warhawk and that game has had a rumored sequel for some time, though with the first one really slowing down I can't see Sony trying to push a |

| I dont know about most of you guys but I'm in my 20's now and nobody likes to sit around and watch other people play games where i'm from so i'm all for co-op games. I think we should save the criticisms for actual info or footage of the game |
