![]() | Yakuza: Of the End and Marvel vs. Capcom 3 Character DLC Delayed in Japan Written Wednesday, March 16, 2011 By Richard Walker View author's profile |
SEGA has postponed the release of Yakuza: Of the End due to the recent tragic events in Japan that have effectively wiped out a coastal town in Fukushima. The game features Kazuma Kiryu and other Yakuza characters fending off zombie hordes in the ruins of Kamurocho, a fictionalised version of the Kabukicho district in Shinjuku. Yakuza: Of the End was set to release in Japan on March 17th, but its date is now TBD. Capcom has also decided to put the distribution of its Shuma-Gorath and Jill Valentine character DLC on hold in Japan, meaning it will now be released for download at a later, as yet unspecified date due to the devastating earthquake and tsunami that has left the region in Japan in ruins. Both characters were supposed to release as separate add-ons today at about $5 USD each. No doubt Capcom will announce a new date for the DLC in Japan soon. [Via Siliconera] ![]() | |
