NASCAR 2011: The Game

No NASCAR The Game 2011 in the UK

Activision's NASCAR The Game 2011 won't be coming to the UK according to MCV, presumably due to a relative lack of interest in the popular US sport, which races into North American retailers in March.

Under development at Gateshead-based studio, Eutechnyx, NASCAR The Game 2011 features a Sprint Cup Series Championship, authentic NASCAR drivers with individual AI, 22 tracks, an interactive celebration mode and 16-player multiplayer.

NASCAR The Game 2011 is set to speed into stores in the US on March 29th, 2011. If you're living in the UK however, you'll have to get your NASCAR racing kicks elsewhere. US residents, take a look at this developer diary for more on the upcoming NASCAR title.

Surely we can just import it? PS3 is region free, it's what I'll do I think.

@#8 Errrr yeah a lot of people in the UK do know what NASCAR is (frikkin tosspot).

Why cant they release a good old BTCC game in the UK, now that would be good, F1 but with real road cars... mind you we have GT5 so I suppose why would you want any other racing car sim like NASCAR or F1.

Even in the US I cant imagine them getting good sales figures on this release.

@#8 > Im not from UK, Im From Denmark, and NASCAR is quite fun to play, but if i want to use 3 hours on a "Days Of Thunder" race, i would rather play it ... Its Like Tennis - Left, Right , Left , Right ... But a fact is , Americans Are diffrent , just see Major League baseball, the call them self World Champions after winning the National League .. US is not THE WORLD but i figure you dont know that, because you watch NASCAR every Sunday Afternoon :S

Why would I want to buy a game where I do nothing but drive around in circles? If I wanted to do that I'd just get in my car, drive down the road and drive round a roundabout.

No news here. Move along...

@#8 Yes we know what NASCAR is. It's a shit yank sport that pits rubbish race drivers against one another in the ultimate racing challenge of driving in a circle for 4hrs.

Seriously who invents these crappy 'sports'.

I doubt there will be huge outrage at this news. its not the most popular sport in the UK. although I know the Americans love it.
@13 thats all I ever think of now when I hear nascar. great episode.

It probably will be crap anyway because it's being made in the UK. Not that UK developers aren't great at what they do... but why in the world have an American racing series made by a foreign developer? If they aren't even going to sell it in their own country then they must not be too proud of their final product.

I love NASCAR, but already know this game is going to be junk. The poor physics of Ferrari Challenge won't cut it for a NASCAR game.

I'd like to petition to have the next NASCAR game made in America.

#14 I find it funny that europeans still call us "Yankee"'s because ever since the civil war, the only people to use the term Yankee in america is the confederacy.

So if your a white supremacists who wants to kill all jews, blacks, etc, then please keep using that term against normal rational people, otherwise, seriously, give yourself up.

Which is just weird in itself because nascar is pretty much a southern sport anyway. (Not that us northerners and westerners couldn't enjoy it.)

Oh boy, look at all this ignorance floating around because of one NASCAR game...

But anyways, I have Burnout Paradise, that's the only driving game I want. Although I do remember the endless entertainment I used to get out of NASCAR Heat 2002, shooting tires at other drivers and creating pileups, especially at Bristol...

I'd really like to see every one of you drive in a Nascar race in real life and then tell me its not difficult. It may not be entertaining to most but it takes a lot more skill then baby sports like Soccer.

You're all wrong, F1 and NASCAR BOTH SUCK.(sarcasm)lol

Honestly, they are both ok in their own right, but you really have to admit when you look at each sport at its most basic, NASCAR is follow the leader and mostly driving around in circles, and F1 is follow the leader and team order cheating. Only mechanical failures play any role in the finishing orders.
