Homefront developer Kaos Studios has a lot to say about its upcoming FPS, which is one of our top 20 most anticipated games this year for a reason. A sort of 'what if' story in which North Korea has invaded and occupied the US, you play as ex-pilot Robert Jacobs, who becomes a freedom fighter with a rag-tag band of fellow rebels. In this new developer diary, we get to find out more about the game's characters including the uncompromising Connor, morally virtuous Boone, tough girl Rianna and Hopper, who is a Korean-American bearing scars from racial attacks during the war. Homefront also has authentic brands and storefronts to make its vison of 2027 America under the iron fist of the Korean People's Army, all the more chilling in its familiarity. Kaos is also trying to give you pause to think about the consequences of your actions during Homefront, without becoming desensitised to constant, numbing violence. No tall order indeed. Find out whether Kaos can pull it off when Homefront launches on March 8th, 2011 in North America and March 11th, 2011 in the UK and Europe. Check out the new developer diary for more. | |
