Latest Mindjack Character Trailer Features Robo-Chimps

A note to game developers around the world: if adding zombies to your game isn't working, may we suggest adding chimps instead? Any game improves tenfold when you add apes to the mix, so when we saw the cybernetically-enhanced Bonobo chimp Swarmer character type in this new Mindjack trailer, we sat up and took notice.

Mindjack enables you to float around as a digital cloud of data called a 'Wanderer' and hack into any character you come across. This includes various civilians with unique strengths and weaknesses, or special classes of troops, such as the armoured 'Thumper', decked out in a explosion-resistant hazmat suit. Then there's mechs, like the 'Fury', which is an aerial attack drone, or the 'Quickdraw', which is a heavy ground-based mech fitted with dual miniguns.

Last but not least - and our personal favourite - are the hulking 'Titan' silverback gorilla, able to pound enemies into the the ground, and the aforementioned Bonobo chimps with mechanical augmentations. Sign us up for some robo-chimp action, when Mindjack launches on January 21st, 2011. Check out the trailer for some ape fun.

Same engine as K&L2 I suspect...?

I found it to be so-so. I won't be rushing out to buy this one, either.
