Speaking in an interview with Gamasutra, Visceral Games' general manager, Nick Earl has confirmed that the studio behind Dante's Inferno and Dead Space have several "smaller efforts under way and direct-to-consumer efforts on XBLA and PSN".
"That is showing the opportunity there," said Earl of the success DICE has had with Battlefield 1943, adding, "Just like the packaged goods space and the big AAA space, it comes down to quality and innovation and being able to bring something that's interesting to the gamer. But yes, absolutely. I think we'll have some interesting offerings over this year and next that show our confidence in the space."
First to arrive "in the space" should hopefully be a to be confirmed port of previously Wii-exclusive Dead Space: Extraction and strategy title Dead Space: Planet Cracker on PSN.
