iPhone and Android owners have been going potty over Angry Birds for quite some time now, but according to Rovio CEO, Peter Vesterbacka, talking at the first Social Gaming Summit in London at the back end of last week, console gamers could be getting their fix soon enough.
When asked whether the title would be going to consoles, Vesterbacka - which is an awesome name, by the way - said that it would be heading to the PSN, Wii and Xbox "for starters."
Those looking for news on a sequel may be disappointed though, as Vesterbacka - seriously, I might change my surname to that! - stated that they weren't going to do one, instead teasing that a "surprise" version of the game telling the story from the pigs' perspective might be on the cards.
He also stated that the upcoming multiplayer will resemble "old school Worms," although those details have not yet been nailed down.
What Xbox and PlayStation owners will get and when they'll get it currently remains a mystery, but if the words of Rovio's CEO are anything to go by, console owners will eventually be able to get their Angry Birds fix sometime in the future.
