I've been lookin' at reviews for over a decade now, and used to religiously follow Gamespots score as the deciding factor. Back when scoring a Gamespot 9.5 or greater was an unbelievable feat. Over the last few years they have become highly overinflated though; maybe takin' moneys on the side? Come on, Braid, being the 4th highest rated game of all time for the PS3?! A mere PSN, XBox360 port?
Sadly, I do now trust IGN as the formative rating on my PS3 games. They are THE premier reviewer once Gamespot is taken out of the picture. And sadly, yes, their 6 OUT OF 10 FOR MEDAL OF HONOR was a perfect and accurate score! |

I do not trust any reviews sites/mags, all of them are terrible. They are all owned by a company in the gaming industry.

@8 that is pretty funny when you think about it.
As far as who to go to for reviews, the only accurate reviewer is yourself, a review is just an opinion and the only one you should pay attention to is your own, decide for yourself if you like a game or not instead of basically waiting for someone else to tell you that you don't like it. |

I enjoyed the demo so i'll probably get Fist of the north star.
@8 it is weird even more so when a UK based company like ninja theory release a game in JP and US before the UK. |

So many good games to play....and I haven't even played anything from last week yet, like The Sims 3, or Star Wars, Force Unleash 2, and now James Bond: Blood and Stone as well as Dragon Ball: Raging Blast 2....
Before I know it, the Sly Cooper Collection will be here at this rate of me not being able to play new games >. |

For those seeking a good review site, try psxextreme. They do a great job for everything imho. They are very realistic and if the name of the site might get you a little confusing regarding fanboyism, they are not, they are pretty objective. This site is my main site for trophy guides, boosting, news, etc and the one I mentioned before is for reviews and news.
As for the article, I want dragon ball very bad but think I will pass till gt5 gets out of my way :( not enough money :( but then again, I still want RDR, Heavy Rain and many others. I hate this crisis, it's ruining my gaming experience... |
