Dragon Age: Origins

Dragon Age: Origins Ultimate Edition Confirmed

Dragon Age: Origins Ultimate Edition is quite possibly the most ultimate of all ultimate editions ever, and is certainly entitled be named as such, considering it bundles every single Dragon Age: Origins DLC with Dragon Age: Origins - Awakening.

That's all nine game add-ons, which adds up to a staggering $114 worth of Dragon Age downloadable content for a low price. It's insanely good value for money and if you haven't got the game yet, now might be a good time to start scrambling through your wallet for your credit card.

Dragon Age: Origins Ultimate Edition is currently available to pre-order from the EA Store, Play.com or GameStop and is slated for release on October 29th. Currently, it only seems to be available for the PC however, but it's pictured on the official site for PlayStation 3 too, so keep your eyes peeled for it.

[Thanks to everyone who sent this in!]

Good thing I held out.

The total costs of DLC is double that of the game itself, so this edition is definitely a great value pack!

What would be my best option? I already have Dragon Origins and the only DLC I have was the free ones I got with the game. Stone Prisoner and the Dragon Armor. Should I buy the ultimate edition all over again? Will my save file still work on the ultimate edition?

@4

save should work considering this disc has all the dlc in it, its not an entirely new game...

as for u owning the game with the golem and armor, im in the same situation... so here's soem help

did u like the game enuff to want to buy the dlc? if yes then u could sell the game and get this one if its priced for 50-60... if not dont buy it... what i do reccomend is that if u liked the DA:O story, u hsould try getting Witch Hunts as thats the true ending for the game(according to the trailers anyways)

This is nice for those that waited. I got the Collector Edition when it first came out and have enjoyed it since.

@#5: Witch Hunt is may be advertised as the true ending, but it is just a way to bridge the gap between DA:O and the next DA title. If Morrigan isn't in DA2 then expect DA3 to be focused on her and her child.

For those who do not have DA:O, then I would recogment getting this. Good luck beating the Harvestor on Hard or Nightmare. I know my limits, and barely surviving on Normal, then getting killed 15 times in a row tells me not to mess with it.

So awesome! I have some of the DLCs but I'm trying to be conservative with my money. I could rent this game and play the DLCs almost for free :D That is if GameFly will put it up.

Hmph. Remind me of not getting DA2 on launch. Then I won't have to pay $40 for the 10-hours expansion, and more $60 for a bunch of 2-hours DLC.

Are we at least going to see a price drop on Awakening?

Great game and great deal for anyone who doesn't have the game. I have everything DG:O minus the gifts though.

@4 look at the price of the game and then add up how much all the remaining dlc will cost you. which is cheaper?

went through the same thing with fallout already bought 2 of the dlc content so just bought the rest off psn instead of getting the goty edition

i wasn't sure if they were going to put awakening with this glad they did

Nice. I have the Collector's Edition of Dragon Age: Origins on the 360. I never got around to buying any of the DLC (even though I really wanted to!), so I have only played the two DLC packs that come in the CE. I will probably pick up this "Ultimate Edition" for the PS3. I won't mind playing Origins a few more times, it's an amazing game.

Wouldn't kill you to do a bit of research. It's been on Play.com for about a week now.

Thats all very nice but I have already got my platinum for this,and it only cost me 15 quid. download content doesn't bother me nearly half as much than it did on my 360, as you needed to complete the dlc to get maximum points. but once you have got platinum on a Playstation game, that's been completed in my eyes.

The box art really is dreadful.

Should be able to get the regular edition for peanuts when this comes out -- is the DLC worth getting? I heard it wasn't that great in comparison to the main game, but I heard that from someone who was pissed about how much it all cost them.

Thank god my bf didn't buy the DLC's when I asked for them. Just thinking about the money we almost wasted I'm so glad they're releasing this. We're deff getting it, however this is the same month we're getting Medal of Honor and Fallout New Vegas, not to mention Dead Rising 2. :P

ow man this looks awesome! if this whole thing would cost around 50-60 bucks I must buy it! Demon's Souls is up next for me, but this is a really good reason to play Dragon Age as well!

@11

I'm with you my friend! I'm not getting that game either til later, cause they're going to do the same damn thing and trick us into buying that game again just cause they don't know how much dlc should be worth. I just need to remember to not buy it for a while. Luckily, I do like this game, so I don't really hate Bioware.
