Here's Your First 4 Zombie Infested Red Dead Redemption Screens

Rockstar's next piece of Red Dead Redemption DLC, Undead Nightmare, is set to invade your life in the next month or so - we assume around Halloween - and today, we get our first real glimpse at those mutated undead roaming the plains in the first 4 screenshots.

As you can see below, Undead Nightmare is set to feature some pretty ugly ass looking zombies, as well as what looks like a zombie horse that Mr Marston is riding... wait? Zombie horses? Yes, that's right, unless that's a funny camera trick or Prancer has a mild case of the plague. Your call.

All we really know about the pack at the moment is what was originally announced:

  • Zombies;
  • 8 undead characters for multiplayer;
  • Zombies;
  • A brand-new single-player adventure;
  • Zombies;
  • Additional animals unleashed into the world;
  • Zombies;
  • New dynamic events to encounter;
  • And more zombies.

Oh, and we also know that it'll drop for $9.99. The word you are looking for is... braaaaaaains!

I hope the SP adventure is somewhat long. I don't expect lengths of a retail game, of course, but I'm hoping it's not 2-3 hours.

Sweet, been looking forward to this for ages, I'm thinking it'll be around £7 in the UK Lets hope they dont screw up the zombies tradition though... LOTS OF BLOOD!!

I dont think many people can argue the fact that zombie horses are awesome, but why in this game? TOTALLY out of left field. What's next, nazi alien dinosaurs? Doesnt make any sense to throw zombies into what was a straight western game. Booooooo

I thought Prancer was a reindeer... maybe that's Mr. Ed with the T-virus?

Anywho, all the new additions with this DLC sound awesome. Zombies are just icing on the cake.

also wow people havent heard of zombie or horror westerns before? where have you been because they got together great acually. For a good 'horror' western check out the series dead mans gun about a cursed gun that brings good luck to the owner, then bad then death.

Also read this, things like this have their own genra called weird west, so its not that strange.

Zombies seems unnecessary for RDR. What's the point? Either way, I'm waiting for them to finish up these DLC releases so I can finally play this game and try to get all the trophies.

@29 I totally agree with you. This game doesn't need zombies. There seems to be a trend going on now for every random game that is nothing to do with zombies to throw in a mode with them. Why? RDR is a great game and doesn't need this. It's fine for games that have a post-apocalyptic setting or a scary setting, but the Wild West?

Are people seriously complaining about this? Horror + Western is the best mix since PB&J.

Plus it should be out just in time for Halloween.

I hope for the single player missions one of the people you help turns out to be a undead ex-priest with half a soul or something that would reference Priest (the manga not the crappy movie)

Is that a zombie horse in the first screen? Or is it the light that's causing the horse to look like a zombie?

I wish there was a zombie horse in the game....

Will probabaly have a look into it at some point or another.

I think that's the same horse you get as a special unlock when your character is 100% evil. Blake Mare or something like that, not a zombie.
