@1 I also remember playing the games on PS2 in fact my friend has them all in new condition he only ever played them once when he bought them. Ace Combat Distant Thunder was my fav the planes looked awesome for a PS2 title the sequels dropped the plane graphics a bit but still good story and gameplay. I can't believe they p***** off to XBOX 360 thou and didn't release a PS3 game, jesus its been years since the Playstation console got a A.C game excluding PSP. |

I love the Ace Combat series. And though I really like the 'steel carnage' idea, I am a bit concerned about the story. AC04, 5 and Zero had great stories and the fictional setting allowed for superweapons and superplanes. Moving the franchise to a real world environment, I hope it doesn't sacrifice the things I love in order to slap on a weak Tom Clancy-esque story. We have HAWX for that. (don't get me wrong, I like HAWX) Time will tell and I'm confident they can pull it off. Let's just hope this rebirth doesn't turn out to be a bastard child. |

I realy liked the real stuff about the franchise - but when it got to super planes that fly sideways and invisible stuff it was fun but frustrating. Most fun I had with a plane was Sturmovik tho. though the online grinding stop me getting the platinum on that. Is hawx worth a look? really don't like the other Tom Clancy stuff. |

| Love Ace Combat, but this sounds too close to what they did with HAWX 2, which turned out fucking awful because of the closer combat. |

Ace Combat really doesn't need a reboot... it just needs to not suck. Ace Combat to AC2, Electrosphere, Shattered Skies and even The Unsung War (a personal favorite) all have been great titles. The Belkan War was alright and Skies of Deception good, then we got Ace Combat 6 which was abysmal compared to the rest of the series. The first HAWX filled the gap for me, with not having a console jet sim, and really reminded me of why Shattered and Unsung were so great. Although I'm hearing bad things about HAWX2, unfortunately. |

| I love quite a few of the ones for PS2. Hopefully they can get back to that good story telling. |

| More like compositie carnage. Who uses steel to built aircrafts these days?! I hope they arent designing the jets from those little models on the table either, those are like $5 models. Anyways, not trying to hate, I'm sure I will like this game. Hopefully it can be as good, or better then HAWX 2. (Which in my opinion, is a freakin' awesome game) |
