Singstar Mic Support For PS3 Rock Band 2

Harmonix lead designer Dan Teasdale has today posted an entry on the US PlayStation blog announcing a Software Update that will patch Singstar Wireless microphone compatibility into Rock Band 2.

Here's an excerpt from Teasdale's post, "We’re perfectionists over here at Harmonix, and we want to make sure that everyone’s Rock Band experiences are as awesome as they possibly can be. With that in mind, I’m proud to announce that the Rock Band team has finalised a software update for Rock Band 2 on the PlayStation 3 that addresses some common feature requests from our fans."

Other updates include an option to sort tracks by their star ratings, a new in-game store front and velocity sensitivity for Ion drum kits. Rock and roll.

Singstar mic compatibility is already available in Europe. Now US players will be able to make their Rock Band experience totally wireless too.

The patch is available from tomorrow. Rock on.

	Don't forget the fixed hammer-on chords, a much needed update. Only took months after the 360 version, but at least we finally got it.

	I wish they'd add a feature to delete a single song. I have songs I'll never play again taking up space on my PS3. It's dumb that I have to delete them all and redownload them all again just to drop one or two songs. Oh, and don't get me started on in-game chat. Why does it work on the XBOX, but doesn't on the PS3?

	I have already been using the SingStar Mic in RB2 and Lego RB. Am I missing something here then?

	@ 4 Patch is for wireless mics. Which...... aren't available in America I thought. Europe has them. Worth it to import.
