You Asked For It: 2K Announces BioShock 2 Narrative Driven DLC

To answer the concerns of the hordes of BioShock 2 fans that have watched streams of multiplayer content come out for the title, while the franchise’s main staple - the story and its single player - has been neglected, 2K Games today announced Minerva’s Den – an all-new single player chapter for BioShock 2.

Minerva’s Den will be a self contained narrative that sends players to the never-before-seen Rapture Central Computing area. Assuming the role of an all-new character who will be teamed up with Brigid Tenenbaum, players will be tasked with the role of unravelling the dark secrets of one of Rapture’s key districts and the founder's past.

Expect new characters, new locations, plenty of mystery, more dangerous Splicers, a never-before-seen Big Daddy, new high tech weaponry and a “devastating” new plasmid when BioShock 2’s Minerva’s Den ships... some time. No date or price has been announced as of yet.

This might be worth picking up again for this. The single player was great compared to the lagfest crappy multiplayer.
The game is dirt cheap now too =D

I'm looking forward to this. Like Deviant said the single player story was great. Any add-on to it is welcome :P

BioShock is my favorite FPS ever and among my top list of games, BioShock 2 being no exception. I look forward to this highly and will gladly pay money for it when it's released.

I welcome it. Gives me good reason to play the game again, outside of nabbing the last three trophies I needed.

I really missed single player add-ons. This one seems to be really good!

I know I'm going against the grain here, but I was soooo disappointed in the story (and gameplay) of single player. Never gave a damn about any character. The teleporting into different bodies was too far-fetched, even for this. And boy did gathering ADAM get REAL old, REAL fast. Meh. Maybe Bioshock 3 will be better. BTW, gonna still get it (damn OCD!).

Took them long enough, of course its in tradition with games that have single and multiplayer, the single player gets shafted cause everyone has to have multiplayer so badly, I'm not big on multiplayer, but I accept it, they just need to quit shafting single player for those of us that prefer it.

Sounds good to me. I hust stared Bioshock a few days ago and love it. Afterwards I'm going to check out this sequel and more SP is always welcome. It would be cool if they would announce some kind of 'special edition' with every DLC already on the disk... kinda like RE5: Gold edition. Then I would pick this up... guess I just wait a bit with my fingers crossed :)
