Guitar Hero Library Expands With Sum 41, The Used, Weezer, P.O.D. and Megadeth

This is the last set of tracks we'll be putting under the old Guitar Hero 5 game ID, as next month's set of DLC music will be arriving in time for the release of Guitar Hero: Warriors of Rock, which will be forward compatible with this selection of tracks as well as a load of previous GH DLC tunes.

Guitar Hero is keeping up the rocky rockness with more rock than you can shake a rock at, including additions from The Used, Sum 41, Weezer, P.O.D. and Megadeth.

That's plenty of rockin' rock to see you through the month, by which time you'll have a whole new Guitar Hero disc to look forward to, with a ton of new tracks as well as an existing library of tunes.

Here's your August DLC schedule for Guitar Hero:

The Used Track Pack (available from tomorrow):

  • “The Taste Of Ink”
  • “The Bird And The Worm”
  • “Pretty Handsome Awkward”

Sum 41 Track Pack (available August 10th):

  • “Fat Lip”
  • “In Too Deep”
  • “Still Waiting”

Weezer Track Pack (available August 17th):

  • “Beverly Hills”
  • “Pork And Beans”
  • “Island In The Sun”

Megadeth Track Pack (available August 24th):

  • “Symphony Of Destruction”
  • “Hangar 18”
  • “Peace Sells”
P.O.D. Track Pack (available August 31st)
  • “Southtown”
  • “Youth Of The Nation”
  • “Boom”

All tracks are £1.59 each, or £3.99 for the track pack.

I don't have Guitar Hero 5, but this is way better than the DLC that's been coming out for Rock Band lately!

@10 Too bad there are only a couple good songs on Cryptic Writings. Put out the complete So Far So Good, Rust in Peace or Endgame and now we're talking.

Fat Lip was my favorite song on Guitar Hero 1, so I'll definitely get that.
Too bad they didn't bring POD's "Alive"...
