DLC Added: BlazBlue: Continuum Shift

DLC Added: BlazBlue: Continuum Shift
Written Thursday, July 29, 2010 by Dave Olsen

Even though it just came out in the US, BlazBlue: Contiuum Shift has some DLC on the way in the form of a premium character, Makoto Nanaya (pictured in the screenshot below).  She will be available from the PSN Store sometime next month.  The Japanese date and price has been confirmed (August 5 for 800 yen), but there is no information for North America or Europe.

If you're looking forward to getting a peak at the new trophies, they're all secret.  Sadly, there isn't much info for you right now, but we'll keep you updated as news is released.

The new DLC trophies are below, just don't expect much info.

Interesting.. . so why couldn't she just have been put in the retail release?

DLC just 1 character? Looks pretty similar to Tsubaki

Whilst it'll be nice to have Makoto, I'm much more interested in when we'll get Valkenhayn. I'm hoping it'll be the same time we get Makoto.

They're probably just specific to the character.

Why isn't she featured in the retail game???
If you release DLC this close to the release date of the retail game then at least make it free... otherwise it seems like a ripoff...

There are going to be 3 characters coming, and the Makoto one should be available for DLC on the PSN next week. And it should cost $8

@#8: The characters came out as DLC in Japan after the game. All Aksys does is localize the game and DLC, any complaints about the DLC not being included in the game is all ARC Systems...

I hope I don't have to explain shat localization is...

If it really ends up being $9 it will be interesting to see how many actually buy it. Personally wish companies would focus on getting characters in the game instead of dull things like challenge mode.

Happy and peeved at the same time. Definitely made me uncomfortable when I tossed in the game for the first time last night...

I'm with Chaosflare. I haven't got the game, yet, myself... but 3 new characters in the game plus 3 DLC ones? Seems they're trying to break even on that $40 budget price of Continuum Shift.

Sure, SSFIV may do the same, with DLC characters in the future, but they already had 10+ new fighters with their budget version.

Personally, I guess I'm more surprised than anything. We (or at least I have) been conditioned to expect Makoto for a while now, almost as long as we've been expecting the game, so for her not to be included in the retail title, but through DLC, tends to catch one a bit off balance.

Considering my new found budget with games, I'm at a point when I may not be able to afford to pay the $8 or so to download her (and any additional characters), so like some, I'll be "SOL". =/

Seems like a ripoff, considering that CS is so much like CT.I would have waited longer if they included more new characters.
