After an erroneous post on the PlayStation Blog noting that 'Jimmy's Vendetta' would be PS3's exclusive Mafia II DLC, it turns out that it will actually be 'The Betrayal of Jimmy', which will be a free download for gamers who grab a new PS3 copy of the game. Therefore, both 'Jimmy's Vendetta' and 'The Betrayal of Jimmy' will be coming to PS3. The Betrayal of Jimmy will cost £6.29 without the voucher included in new copies, and will also have leaderboards with additional missions unlocking as you progress. The Betrayal of Jimmy unfolds from the alternate perspective of the titular mercenary, with dozens of arcadey missions featuring plenty of driving, shooting and rampaging through the streets of Mafia II's Empire City. Players will accumulate points for skill shots and powerslides performed during the assassination and timed-driving objectives, with explosive and dramatic shootouts and high-speed car chases helping you climb the leaderboards as well as adding replay value. Second DLC pack Jimmy's Vendetta will introduce an action-packed arcade style of gameplay including new missions and leaderboards. You'll be getting your hands dirty helping Jimmy to clean up other people's messes, adding a variety of new locations and city-based missions for Empire Bay to encourage repeated play as you compete with friends on the leaderboards. Jimmy's Vendetta is awaiting a release date and price, but Mafia II is out on August 24th, 2010 in North America and August 27th, 2010 in Europe. The Betrayal of Jimmy will launch alongside the game on the PlayStation Network. Here are some screens from the DLC. ![]() ![]() ![]() | |
