This timer is a load icon, it's appear when the game in download the news. To get the trophies: When you start the game for the first time you need to make a profile. Don't care about this, set anything to complete it and win your first trophie. When the profile is finished, the cat will appear on a room. Press the circle buttom and a menu will pop. You can do some things on this, like feed the cat, play some online minigames, etc, but what you is the trophies, right? Go in the first option on this menu, this is the news option. Another menu will apear, this is the sections of the news, you can choice anyone, and you can chooce a news for read. The yellow icons beside of the news is because you don't read that yet, s | |

I had the same problem as you initially, but once I adjusted the PS3's clock it worked fine. Once the game loads you can change the clock back afterward. Also, make sure you play the game on your current account and not on the Japanese one, otherwise any trophies you earn will go towards the Japanese one. | |

You'll know you've got it when you see the letters "HDD" on the screen you're currently stuck on (it will be garbled in between all the Japanese text). If that doesn't work, then I have no idea. | |

The very first option - which is highlighted - is what you select; it looks like a spinning globe. From here another menu pops up - these are all "newscasts". Watch 3, 10, 30, 50, 90, and 120 of them to get the trophies. | |

This is pure speculation on my part, as I haven't tried to do so and don't intend to. But it should work. I CAN answer your second question, however. You get the Trophies for your USA account the same way a relative or friend playing your PS3 would: By signing into their account and playing! Remember, any profile on a PS3 can use content downloaded by another user, as long as the downloader's account remains on that PS3. So in step-by-step, you'd download it with your JP account, sign off, sign in with your US account, and play and earn Trophies. simple, right? | |
