ZOMG! they split the BT trophies up ... and theyre only bronze ?!?!?! Anyone who can Plat this ... will deserve member of the month award or something o.o
And with the extra characters too ... theyre be more than the one on the 360 ... |

There are fewer trophies than achievements. 50 achievements, 47 trophies. For the most though, they're identical. |

There is one more secret trophy than 360 achievment so that could either mean a new post game boss (possible), new character ending (I'm actually doubting this really hard) or me just reading to much into the trophy thing. Either way, this looks like a fun challenge.
Only to get the game now and play play play. |

Dont own a xbox so this is new to me, i didnt like the last ps2 game but given the lack of rpg's on the system and my love for the genre I will pick it up to tie me over to ff13 |

It was confirmed by several people who has the ame and strategy guide that there is no additional character.
Aside from the changes that were announced previously by SE (new portrait, Targeting System, new voices and subtitles, no disc swapping and graphics polished a little)here are other minor changes:
Metal Scumbag gives 234965 EXP (it was 82184 EXP before).
4x 20% EXP factor can't be done anymore.
Reimi's best move is at the end of 7 Stars Ruins.
Lots of moves were toned down, rush mode B critical hits are toned down, Reimi's focus level 1 to level 10 LUK increment was dumbed down. |

I haven't played this game since I don't own a 360, but I did play the other three Star Ocean games. Getting all the Battle Trophies in Till the End of Time was awful, so I imagine it's just as ridiculous in this game. |

Yes some of these BT trophies are absurd. Like dealing a very specific number of damage or healing a certain amount of health. Some are very luck based as well. |

The BT's were a major pain on the 360 - even controlling Edge 75% of the time I still didn't hit 20%. Acquired the 10% somewhere after the 3rd boss.
Differences:
Quests- Xbox {30, 60, 100%) PS3 {50, 100%}
Difficulty- X360 Secrets for Universe & Chaos completion
If it stays close to the 360 version here are the secret ones I remember from the 360 -- that leaves one unaccounted for; but my thought is that it is dedicated to completing the game on Chaos difficulty :D
Secret Trophies
The endings & bosses accounted for 17 separate achievements (9 for the former, 8 or the latter)
6 (?) dealt with the Colosseum - 3 for the battles; 3 for the bunny races; and to get 100% weapon you needed to beat the #1 ranked in team.
One secret each for the Ethereal Queen & Gabriel Celeste |

the worst thing they ever did to Star Ocean was add those damn Battle Trophies. the games were better with out them. they just seem to make the game a chore to finish and a game shouldn't be a chore, that is for your kids to do. |
