Comment #12 by dallan90 Sunday, August 24, 2008 @ 09:38:38 AM yeah i have the same idea as #11 dont buy gmes that dont support trophies we will teach the developers a thing or too. luckily the games i were intrested in: mirrors edge bioshock far cry 2 killzone 2 motorstorm 2 littlebig planet and resistance 2 have them i might even buy uncharted again for its trophies just to try get my point heard. but the game i really want to have trophies are GTA IV havnt heard anything from them BF:BC it has its own "tropy" system so it cant be that hard cod4: ive heard their not going too but im just keeping my fingers crossed lol

Still, it becomes nonsense when that is the ONLY reason you will play a game, is if you are rewarded with a stupid digital prize. OH YES, TROPHY!!! ACHEIVEMENT!!!! those look great on resumes, along with your 70 hunter. A great game is a great game regardless of whether or not it supports trophies. Fallout 3 will own you so hard, and half of me hopes it doesn't have trophies so that people like you won't get to enjoy it, because you'll only play it if it gives you little pats on the back every now and then.

Now if some people won't buy a game because a developer don't want to do some extra job (that they do on the 360 version) it's understandable (may or not be my case), but it doesn't mean that person play games just for the trophies. My point is, 360 games have mandatory achievements, right? So why not Trophies?

I own all 3 consoles and play all of them, with the Wii being at the bottom of that list. But givin a choice between a ps3 game that doesn't have trophies and a 360 game that has achievements I think you know where my money will go. I also know for a fact that devs have said it is not hard at all to implement achievements on the 360, I know the ps3 architecture is more complicated but it can't be that much harder to do, even if it is "late" in development. I'm with #24 "late"=lazy.

Yes...does the Xbox360 have an edge over it because it has Achievement points? Yes...do I feel like Rockstar Games is short-changing PS3 owners if they do not release a patch to support trophies? Absolutely. It's about taking full advantage of the hardware and benefits of the hardware. I have been dying to play Fallout 3...but if they don't support trophies, I will NOT buy the game, but instead enjoy Bio Shock, Resistance 2, Wipeout HD, Warhawk, Motorstrom 2, etc...D

Looking at these lists makes me anticipate some & happy to return to others ( oh Uncharted, why did I stop playing you? ), however, these 'few' do NOT make up for the 'many'. I understand production cycles & maybe difficulty with retro-patching ( come on GTA ), but did I miss something? When did this list of a handful of games become 'every game with trophy support '? I do enjoy the verbal ' skewering' & the uncomfortable silences these reps get by this web page creator concerning trophies. Not only keep up the good work, but can we get video clip

Most of the games I play are on both consoles and well the PS3 is free and with home just around the corner you will also receive extra bonuses for specific games.
