Close Quarters is available now for $49.99 USD or 39.99 GBP if you buy Battlefield 3 Premium. It will also be available tomorrow and Wednesday in NTSC and PAL territories respectively for $14.99 USD and the equivalent of that price.

Wow this game sure turned in to a money grab by Dice/EA
$59.99 for the game.
$50 for the premium DLC pack plus we will still have to rent our own server.
I miss the days of online games that all you needed to buy was the damn game.
Now it costs $30 a month to play online in our own server.

Don't get me wrong. I am a huge fan Battlefield 3 and all the Battlefield games I just think it is getting a little rediculus.

And don't even get me started on the patch shit!.

Can any of those who bought BF Premium confirm if you need to download Close Quarters from PS Store or does it get activated after buying Premium and you don't need to download anything?

you dumbasses complaining about the $50. it's for 5 DLCs!!! which means $10 a piece. which is an awesome deal considering Activision rips you off $15 per DLC with old shitty maps.

@StormVongola
As of Monday, you need to download/install Close Quarters separately, from BF3's in-game store. I'm sure it'll be up on the PS Store with the Tuesday update though.

@RRDude_PBB
You are correct. If anyone plans to buy all the DLC anyways, Premium is the way to go. Even if you already have Karkand, you still save $10 on the rest of the future DLC.

14@ You choose your publisher then sign a contract, so DICE have destroyed there own name by choosing EA as there publisher not the other way around.

The overpriced DLC is a shame as BF3 is a good game, it only means that people will move on to other games if they haven't already, or you can wait until it drops in price.

@8
We never had to ren a server to play before.
We payed our 59.99 and played the game. Some games had the 10 to play online on there server and we all just grinned and said "what's 10 bucks" now if you try to save a few bucks by going and getting a used copy for let's say 39.99 you now have to pay $10 for your online pass to play on there server. Then you have to pay another $30 a month to play on your own server because they don't have any ( even thou ea/dice say they do) to play on. then on top of it they make us pay $50 for premium so we can have CQ early and they (ea/dice) cant get there shit together and make sure there "servers" are up for the release.

To me it looked and felt like they grabbed all of our money on Monday and gave us the product on Wednesday. I feel very ripped off by EA/Dice.

Most of my new assignments are done and I just started to play CQ.

Sju whajn om DLC? Its what makes the game new and fresh. More DLC and I'm a happy boy. And money no problem, not like developers like to work and add new things for free.
