![]() After a pretty hectic month full of changes here, adding a new Member of the Month is a nice way to close it out. For our newer members, each month we select one outstanding member to spotlight and get to know them better. Every now and then, we'll get a month like this where the choice is pretty clear and it doesn't take us very long to decide. This month, we have one of the friendliest most active members here. This member is always very helpful to anyone who asks, especially with her Modern Warfare 2 Spec Ops and LittleBigPlanet DLC guides. Yes, I did say her. We have our first female Member of the Month. Everyone, please send your congratulations to the Member of the Month for January...Yoshi_Girl. Congrats Yoshi!!! Let's meet the woman behind the name... Can you tell us a bit more about the person behind the PSN ID? Well where to begin, lol. My name is Sage and I live in Oklahoma. I've considered myself a gamer for a while now I guess. I have a Graphic Design background but am currently interested in studying Information Technology (IT). I do Interior Design part-time and enjoy it very much. Volleyball (Beach or Sand) is my favorite sport. I enjoy movies, music and home theater. I'm not sure what else to add for the time being so hopefully this is a good start! What sort of setup do you have going back home for your gaming? Right now I only have a PS3 (60GB). I have a 56" Samsung DLP 1080p HDTV and I absolutely love it! Eventually I'm going to get a home theater receiver and speaker set-up - probably Klipsch or Definitive Technology (I probably know more about home theater stuff than I should, lol). How long have you been gaming and what made you decide PlayStation as your gaming companion? I'd say I got a late start on gaming compared to most people but if memory serves it was probably right about the time Final Fantasy VII released. I wasn't extremely knowledgeable about gaming systems then. I chose the PlayStation because it looked cool, lol. I guess it's been part of my life ever since (PS2 and now PS3). What was the last game you bought, and what’s the next one you’re looking forward to? Hmm, the last retail game I bought was Mini Ninjas and the most recent PSN game was Braid I think. The next game I'm looking forward to and buying is White Knight Chronicles. ![]() If you had the chance to improve the PlayStation and/or PSN store, what 1 thing would you like to see implemented? I'd love to see a longer USB charging cable for the controllers! The PSN Store has really improved over the years tremendously so it's hard to really complain. If I could change something though, I'd add a much larger Friends List. How much of a certified trophy whore are you? Does the trophy list play any part in the decision to play or buy a game, or do you base that decision entirely on the game? I consider myself a Trophy Collector. I enjoy hunting trophies but at my own pace. I seem to be somewhat of a completionist, or at least I try to be. The Trophy List in a game does have an influence on me but it's not a deal-breaker one way or the other. It really varies and depends on the game. I also generally don't buy a game just for the trophies. It's usually the other way around. If I have no interest in the game I typically just pass on it. There are exceptions though... ![]() What would you say was your proudest trophy and why? Ohhh, very hard to say...I'd have to go with my LittleBigPlanet Platinum. It's not that the game was super hard to complete but more because of how much fun I had hunting all of the trophies. Not every game is enjoyable to play to say the least about trophy hunting! If the end of the world was nigh and you had to grab three games/franchises to take with you to play out your final days to, what would they be? I'd grab all my Final Fantasy and Uncharted series games along with LittleBigPlanet. ![]() PS3T.org has been bought and converted into a Starbucks. If you could sit down with your favourite FF character and have a drink; which character would it be, what would you order, and why? Now you're talking. Starbucks owns and I practically live there at least once a week! Although I really haven't thought about who my favorite Final Fantasy character is I'd love to sit down with Yuna (X-2 version) and chat away. I'd order us both Caramel Macchiatos because it's the best espresso drink in the world bar none! What brought you to PS3T and what keeps you coming back? I'm guilty! I hung around the site lurking in the shadows starting early last year. I'd stop in for trophy help mostly. I decided to become a member in August '09 for many reasons. No other gaming/trophy site offers such a comprehensive collection of trophy and gaming-related information while maintaining a superbly pleasant environment. Any site can throw up forums and trophy information but the atmosphere is generally very stagnant and unfriendly. The community here is the best hands down and that's why I decided to get planted and start contributing as best as I can. Any final words for the community? Yes. I'd like to say "thank you" to everyone (both Staff and Members) who have really put in a lot of effort here. It's easy to take for granted all the hard work that goes on both behind the scenes and on the site itself. So many of you have helped shape what PS3T.org is today and I'm grateful to be part of it all. Thousands of people continue to benefit from all the Trophy Guides, Roadmaps and other information provided by you guys. Because of the wonderful contributions from the best gaming community on the net, this site is a well-oiled machine. Thank you! |
