Welcome to Wheelman, a subpar GTA knock off. You are Milo (aka Vin Diesel). You drive cars and beat up/kill people. Why? Well, no one really knows, but you're good at it so everybody wants a piece. You will be doing missions in Barcelona for three separate gangs and possibly the American government. Confused? So am I and I've got the platinum. Oh, well, whatever. In this game, you'll be doing your standard go from A to B GTA style missions with your standard sprinkling of shooting and car mashing. If you're looking for a GTA killer, boy, are you looking in the wrong place. On the other hand, if you are totally desperate for a game to play and want to get a platinum while you're at it, then this is just for you.

Here is general outline of how to get through this game pretty efficiently:

  1. Complete all of the story related missions. If you don't want to have to play through multiple times, I highly recommend making three saves when the missions "Balance of Power: Lantos Battle", "Balance of Power: Chulos Battle" and "Balance of Power: Romanian Battle" become available because you are only allowed to kill one boss per playthrough.
  2. Complete all of the cinematic jumps and destroy all of the golden lions.
  3. Complete all of the side missions with S-rank.
  4. Mop up all the remaining trophies.

Wheelman
Get every Trophy possible.

You'll get this when you've unlocked all the others.

Leap of faith
Perform an Airjack Successfully

See "Is It A Bird?" trophy. This will almost definitely come naturally if you're following the in game prompts.

Finish Him!
Perform a Finishing Move on an enemy vehicle

If you melee an enemy (including police) vehicle enough times, the border of the icon above the vehicle will begin to flash. At this time, if you melee the vehicle again with a direct hit, you will finish it off and this trophy will unlock. This will almost definitely come naturally if you're following the in game prompts.

Riding on Rims
Shoot out the tyre of an enemy vehicle

You can either do this while in aimed shot mode or just by normal targeting. However, it is easiest done in aimed shot. Position your car so that it is along side an enemy's car but so that you have about the width of a car or two between you and the enemy. While in aimed shot, aim for the tire and blow it out.

Ready, Aim, Fire!
Kill an enemy vehicle using the Aimed Shot

To enter into aimed shot mode, press up on the d-pad when you have some boost. While in aimed shot, locate the "special" spot of your enemy's car (it's highlighted). Aim and fire at this until the car explodes. This will almost definitely come naturally if you're following the in game prompts.

Spin Spin Shooter
Kill an enemy vehicle using the Cyclone

To enter into cyclone mode, press up on the d-pad when you have some boost. While in cyclone, locate the "special" spot of your enemy's car (it's highlighted). Aim and fire at this until the car explodes. This will almost definitely come naturally if you're following the in game prompts.

I Live For this Stuff!
Complete ALL side missions with an 'S' rank

This is the trophy that will consume the most of your efforts. For the most part the side missions are challenging, but very doable. There are a few that are very frustrating. There are 7 different side mission types and 15 missions per type for a total of 105 side missions. Each type unlocks something in the game including vehicle upgrades. Because some missions are made easier if you have certain upgrades, you should work on getting S-rankings on the side missions in the order given in the list below. Here is a list of the types in the order I recommend working on them, the associated unlockables and general tips for getting S-ranks:

Rampage
: These side missions unlock vehicle attack power upgrades. In these side missions, you drive your vehicle around and mash up the city trying to do damage. Rankings are based on the value of the stuff you destroy. Whatever vehicle you are driving at the time the mission begins is the vehicle you will be using for the mission so choose wisely. My experience has been that the SUVs are the best vehicle for the job. They are fast and strong. Now, when you actually go to play, there will be specially selected items that give you multipliers if you destroy them. There are always some of these located in the immediate vicinity of your vehicle as you start the mission. You can get up to an 8x multiplier. Once you have your multiplier up, try to mash as many bus stops and newspaper stands as possible as these are worth a large amount of cash. A really good strategy to prepare for getting S-rank is to start the mission and then quit it immediately. You'll be able to explore the area and find the best route to take to maximize your destruction.

Street Showdown: These side missions unlock vehicle performance upgrades. These are street races. Most of the times you'll be put in a car, but occasionally, you'll be in a bike. When you're in a car, just try to the win the race by besting your opponents in a normal fashion. However, when you're in a bike, just shoot your opponents and eliminate them. Once you take them all out, you just have to cross the finish line. This is only practical for bikes because you can shoot (and kill) enemies directly on a bike, which is much more difficult (if not impossible) to do in a car.

Contracts: These side missions unlock focus gauge upgrades. Here you are required to melee cars and destroy them. If you melee a car enough times in quick succession they will be vulnerable for melee finisher. Your objective is to get to the enemy as soon as possible and set them up for a melee finisher. Like rampage missions, the car you're driving when you enter the mission is the car you start with so choose wisely. Again, the SUV is a solid choice.

Fugitive: These side missions unlock vehicle health upgrades. For these missions, you're up against time and enemies. Basically you have to get from point A to B in a certain amount of time. The problem is that you'll have hordes of enemies on your tail for the entire trip. Your best bet is to memorize the fastest route to the destination and gun it all the way there. Like rampage missions, the car you're driving when you enter the mission is the car you start with so choose wisely. The best vehicle to for these missions is a Japanese super bike.

Made to Order: These side missions unlock garages. Here you trying to airjack cars and bring them back to a deliver spot as undamaged as possible. The number of cars you need to deliver varies. For S-rank, the cars will have to be delivered virtually unscathed so drive carefully. Like rampage missions, the car you're driving when you enter the mission is the car you start with so choose wisely. The best vehicle to start these missions is a Japanese super bike.

Hot Potato: These side missions unlock weapons caches. These are similar to made to order side missions except instead of delivering cars you just have to pick up stationary packages. For a couple of these missions, there will be a police response after you pick up a package. Don't even bother changing your strategy when this happens since you'll almost definitely outrun them right away. Like rampage missions, the car you're driving when you enter the mission is the car you start with so choose wisely. The best vehicle for these missions is a bike.

Taxi
: These side missions unlock taxi points. These are pure drive from A to B missions. However, you're forced to drive a taxi. If you've saved these for last, then your vehicle will be fully upgraded and the vast majority of these will be a breeze. There are one or two that will require some effort. Just be sure to drift as many corners as possible to build up boost. Obviously, you should use your boost as often as possible, especially when exiting corners.

Jump in My Car
Perform a cinematic stunt jump

See "White Men Can Jump" trophy. This will almost definitely come naturally if you're following the in game prompts.

Dukes of Barcelona
Perform TWENTY FIVE cinematic stunt jumps

See "White Men Can Jump" trophy.

White Men Can Jump
Perform ALL FIFTY cinematic stunt jumps

Wreaking Havok!
Destroy ONE HUNDRED cat statues

Is It A Bird?
Use the Airjack FIFTY times

To perform an airjack, press and hold circle while tailing the vehicle you wish to commandeer. There will be a red marker above the vehicle. When it turns green, let go of the circle button and you will airjack the vehicle.

Sharpshooter
Destroy three vehicles during a single Cyclone or Aimed Shot move

This is best done on a non-police fugitive side mission with a bike, after you've completely upgraded your stats (i.e. after you've S-ranked all the side missions). When you're in one of these side missions, fully charge your boost. Once it's charged, let the enemies swarm to you (don't worry this will happen automatically and very quickly). Now, pull a 180 degree handbrake turn. This will pull you ahead of the pack. Now, press down on the d-pad to active your cyclone mode. Since your boost is fully upgraded and charged, you'll have ample time to destroy three vehicles, provided there are three on the screen.

Mission Improbable
Complete a Fugitive side mission on a motorcycle

This is pretty self explanatory. This should come naturally, because a motorcycle is a good choice for fugitive side missions.

Mission from God
Survive a five star police response for 5 minutes

This is best done after you've fully upgraded your stats (i.e. after you've S-ranked all the side missions). Before you initiate the police response, make sure you have a decent sized vehicle ready, a shipping truck or similar sized vehicle is the best choice. Now, initiate the police response. To activate a police response, just fire on civilians. Firing on civilians will only get you up to 4 stars. To get the fifth, you need to fire on cops. Once you have the 5 star rating, enter you vehicle. Go up and down the street doing 180 handbrake turns to quickly turn around. Do this for 5 minutes. Be sure to airjack vehicles if yours is running low on health.

Accidental Tourist
Visit every district in Barcelona

This will almost definitely come naturally if you're following the in game prompts. However, this will definitely happen as you go for all the challenges.
