Introduction
X Factor is based off the UK (and soon to be US) hit music competition reality show of the same name. In the game you will take your character from nothing to become a superstar. You will progress through the all the stages that the contestants would go through on the real show, from try outs, to boot camp, to the judges' house and finally on to the live shows where you compete for the title. With a song list of almost 30 tracks, the game has something for everyone. The game is also fairly forgiving as well, so you don't have to be a musical virtouso in order to enjoy or do well in it. The trophies are very straight forward and almost completely are based off the career mode and different things within it, along with a ones for the other modes included.

Walkthrough
Step 1: First Playthrough Of Career Mode
Start a career mode as either a male or female character in Star Mode difficulty (only one unlocked right now). During this career run, you will be going after the first place trophies and not being in a single final showdown, along with misc other ones. Make sure that when you get to the live shows you are picking songs that you know and can do well as you want to make sure you avoid placing in the bottom 2 and having to go to a final showdown. You also want to try to get at least 3 1st place finishes during this career run as well. Other trophies that you will want to try for as well are the rehearsal ones (rehearse at least 15 times) & the quiz ones (answer at least 8 correct). You will also want to make sure that you wear every outfit customization that you can during the shows to work towards that trophy. Once you win the competition, you will get Boot Camp, Judges' House, On Air, & Real Star (and if you never went to a final show down like advised, you will also get Piece of Cake).

Step 2: Second Playthrough Of Career Mode
For your second career playthrough, you will want to select whichever character gender you did in the previous step, but this time select Superstar Mode difficulty. During this career playthrough, you are going to be aiming to be in the bottom 2 in every round of the live shows so you are in the final showdown every week. To do this, just select your song and when it's time to perform it the first time, do absolutely nothing and get a score of 0. When the results come in and you are in the bottom 2, you will go on to the final showdown. Pick the song you want to sing and this time make sure you sing it as best as you possibly can so the judges pick you and you advance to the next week's show. Keep doing this for every week until you get to the semi-finals (7th live show), then make sure you sing all the songs as best as possible from there on out so that you win the competition. After you do all of those steps and win the competition, you will have obtained Superstar, Narrow Escape, & Guardian Angel. You will also want to continue changing outfits for every performance and selecting the new items that you unlock during this career run.

Step 3: Remaining Career Mode Related Trophies

Step 4: Obtain Fashion Victim Trophy
Now that you have everything unlocked, it's time to get the Fashion Victim trophy. Select to play in either Solo or Duet in "Party Mode" and then at the song selection screen, press to customize your character. Select either male of female and then any contestant. After you've done that, hit again on their "profile-like" page to customize their outfits. Go through each custom item (hair, torso, leg items) and press on them to select them, then move to the next one. If an item has more than one color available (it will say " Change the colour" at the top of the screen), make sure you scroll through each available color for that item before moving on. Once you have pressed to "wear" every item for whichever gender you choose, back out to the song selection menu and repeat the process with the opposite gender. Once you run through all of the items and have worn them (with their color variations), the trophy will unlock for you!

Step 5: Party Mode Trophies
This will be the most time consuming part of all as you need to sing all 28 of the songs in solo mode and duet mode, as well as play one round of "Competition Mode" & "Battle Mode" each. For all of these you do not have to achieve any certain score or anything like that, just complete the songs in the required mode type. If you want, you can even just put the microphone down, select a song and just let it play in the background without doing anything, then rinse and repeat with the rest of the tracks. Once you complete all the songs in both Solo & Duet modes, as well as played one round of Battle & Competition, you will get Solo, Jack-Of-All-Trades, Duo, Harmony, Competition, & Battle.

Step 6: Clean-Up
You should have everything by this point, but if for some reason you are missing any trophies, go back and clean those up now in the appropriate mode required for them. Once you finish that up, enjoy your X Factor Platinum trophy!
