Overview:
SOCOM: Confrontation is an only online, tactical 3rd Person Shooter. Teamwork is necessary in order for your team to win. It really isn't a solo thing. For each round, once you die, you can't come back until the next round. The trophies for SOCOM are somewhat difficult to get, as they are almost all silver trophies. All of the trophies correspond to in-game rewards. Mostly, you will get trophies for getting kills with different types of weapons. You will get other trophies many other ways, such as: being the best in the round, capturing a total number of control points, and getting a total number of kills. The time it will take to get platinum, is extraordinary, so if you do achieve the platinum, it will be respected.

Step by step:
Step 1: Get used to the game and figure out what you like best.
Start up the game. You can customize your character if you like, or just start the game. During your first match, you will probably get killed pretty fast, and a lot. You will get better, as it is a game you have to get used to. Try out all of the different classes of weapons and figure out what you like best. If you have no preference, start with assault.

Step 2: Get the weapon kills trophies.
Whichever weapons class you feel comfortable with, start with that. Just play any game mode. Try to do the objectives as well as get plenty of kills, as it will get you closer to the objectives trophies. Once you get a the bronze weapon kills trophy, move onto a different weapons class. MG will be the easiest to get trophies for as you only need 50 kills for bronze, 100 for silver, and 250 for the last silver. Make sure, while you are getting these trophies, that you don't kill any teammates. Just be careful with explosives as you are most likely to kill teammates with those. If you get 150 kills without getting a team kill, you will get the “Good Conduct” trophy. Once you get the first set of silver weapons kill trophies, aim to get the objectives trophies that you don't already have.

Step 3: Getting the objectives trophies.
Now try to get all of the trophies that have to do with objectives. Just play missions that you need trophies for, and no others. Stick to one type of game mode until you are done getting trophies for it, and then move onto the next.

Step 4: Getting all of the “other” trophies.
Now is the time where you focus on getting all of the “odds and ends” trophies. These trophies include things such as: getting the MVP on every map, kill assists, and headshots. With any luck, most of these should have been gotten while you were getting the weapon kills trophies and objectives trophies. Now you just finish up what you have left. The only one that you don't need to get right now, is the 5,000 kills in the“Legion of Merit Medal” trophy. That will be done later.

Step 5: Finishing up the weapons.
Since you I told you only to go up to the first silver weapons trophies before the objectives trophies and “other” trophies, you should be close to getting the final weapon kills trophies. Just go out and kill. Don't worry too much about any objectives, just kill.

Step 6: Legion of Merit Medal
Lastly, you need to get 5,000 total kills for the “Legion of Merit Medal” trophy. Getting all of the weapon kills trophies will only get you 3,000 kills, but you are most likely going to have more than that. Once again, just use the class you feel the best with, go out there and kill! Once you get these all of these trophies, a glorious platinum trophy will appear and you will be congratulated!

Getting 5 consecutive kills, without taking damage, will be easiest as a sniper. Just stay in the back, in a safe area, and take out anyone that you can without putting yourself in danger. For the suppression kills, just constantly have your weapons outfitted with suppressors, and you will get the kills over time.

If you play the game for long enough, this will come over time. Otherwise, just do them in order. For instance, start with Extraction on the map “Crossroads”. After 25 games, change mode and map.

GOOD CONDUCT

ACHIEVE 150 CONSECUTIVE KILLS WITHOUT KILLING A TEAM-MATE

This will be difficult. Try not to use grenades or other explosives until you get this trophy. Team-mates will often wander into a live grenade, as they don't know it is there. Just be careful where you are shooting, and hope that some idiot won't wander into your fire.

These will be easiest if you are in a very small match. If it is one vs. one, you will be able to get them very quickly.

POW MEDAL

PLAY 50 GAMES OF EXTRACTION WITHOUT KILLING A HOSTAGE

The goal of Extraction is not to kill hostages, on either side, so this should be relatively easy. Just watch your fire and remember that this is not consecutive, but total.

MARKSMAN MEDAL

ACHIEVE 15 KILLS IN A GAME WITH ACCURACY ABOVE 75% (EXPLOSIVE KILLS DO NOT COUNT)

This will be easiest to achieve using a shotgun or a sniper rifle or anything with a one-shot kill. The hard part will be getting 15 kills. So just get out there and kill, but make sure you have a kill-shot before taking the shot.

EXPEDITIONARY MEDAL

PLAY 50 GAMES AS A MERCENARY PLAY 50 GAMES AS A COMMANDO/SPECIAL FORCES

This will be relatively easy. Just play until you have 50 games with one group, and once you have that, try to get into games as the other group.

ASSAULT RIFLE - ELITE

1000 ASSAULT RIFLE KILLS 10 ASSAULT RIFLE KILLS WITH 25% ACCURACY IN ONE GAME 75 KILLS WITH 7 DIFFERENT ASSAULT RIFLES

Using an Assault Rifle, aim at the upper chest of the enemy, as you will most likely hit their head. As for the ten kills with 25% accuracy, try for headshots as they get you quick kills without wasting shots. Also, keep checking to see if you have 75 kills with any Assault Rifle, once you get 75, change to a different one.

PISTOL - ELITE

150 PISTOL KILLS 35 PISTOL HEADSHOTS 6 PISTOL KILLS WITH 25% ACCURACY IN ONE GAME 20 KILLS WITH 5 DIFFERENT PISTOLS

Once again, aim for the upper chest/head. They will get you faster kills, as well as better accuracy. Keep checking how many kills you have with each pistol, so you can get the 20 kills with 5 different pistols part.

SMG - ELITE

1000 SMG KILLS 125 SMG HEADSHOTS 10 SMG KILLS WITH 25% ACCURACY IN ONE GAME 75 KILLS WITH 5 DIFFERENT SMGS 4 SMG HEADSHOTS IN ONE GAME

Basically, follow the tips in ASSAULT RIFLE – ELITE. Once again, headshots will bring you quick kills, and you need them for this trophy.

SNIPER RIFLE - ELITE

350 SNIPER RIFLE KILLS 75 SNIPER RIFLE HEADSHOTS 6 SNIPER RIFLE KILLS WITH 90% ACCURACY IN ONE GAME 60 KILLS WITH 3 DIFFERENT SNIPER RIFLES

Again, headshots are key! As the sniper, stick to a safe place in the back of the map and make sure you have a kill-shot before you fire, otherwise the person will know to be careful and look for you.

SHOTGUN - ELITE

250 SHOTGUN KILLS 60 SHOTGUN HEADSHOTS 8 SHOTGUN KILLS IN ONE GAME 60 KILLS WITH 3 DIFFERENT SHOTGUNS

Headshots aren't quite as key with the shotgun, but you will need 60 in order to get this trophy. Make sure to be close before you fire. The closer, the stronger. So hide behind walls and have your trigger finger ready.

MG - ELITE

250 MG KILLS 75 MG HEADSHOTS 8 MG KILLS IN ONE GAME 60 KILLS WITH 3 DIFFERENT MGS

The easiest of the weapon kills trophies to get, in my opinion. Aim for the upper chest, and remember that it has a wide spread, so the closer, the better. An MG is like a cross between Assault Rifles and Shotguns.

PURPLE HEART

50 KILL ASSISTS

A somewhat easy trophy. If you see someone firing on an enemy, fire for a little bit and then leave. Once the other person gets the kill you will get the assist. So remember, hurt the enemy, and let someone else get the kill. Only aim for kill assists until you have this trophy. After you get this trophy, go for the kill.

SUPERIOR SERVICE MEDAL

1 MVP AWARD ON EACH MAP 1 MVP AWARD IN EACH GAME MODE 200 KILLS AS A MERCENARY 200 KILLS AS COMMANDO/SPECIAL FORCES

While playing for the TOUR OF DUTY VETERAN trophy, aim to be the best in every mode, on every map. If you don't have them when you are finished with TOUR OF DUTY VETERAN, then just go back later to do them. If you plan to get the LEGION OF MERIT MEDAL trophy, then you will get 200 kills with each group. If you don't then something went wrong. Otherwise, just check, and once you have 200 with one group, switch to the other.

MERITORIOUS SERVICE

WIN 25 ROUNDS VIA HOSTAGE RESCUE IN EXTRACTION WIN 25 ROUNDS VIA BOMB DEFUSAL IN DEMOLITION WIN 25 ROUNDS VIA VIP EXTRACTION IN ESCORT

Play each game type, and be sure to not kill all of the enemies, as it will end the round. YOU do not have to get the extractions and defuses and such so you can let other people get them. Playing with friends will be the easiest, as you can tell them to win by completing the objective and not by killing the enemies.

DEMOLITIONS EXPERT

10 GRENADE KILLS 2 BREACHING CHARGE KILLS 2 CLAYMORE KILLS 10 KILLS BY BLOWING UP CARS OR OTHER EXPLOSIVES

Do this after you get the GOOD CONDUCT trophy. Lob grenades over walls where you think there may be enemies, or into groups. For claymores, put them at the top of stairs and wait for enemies to come up them. For environmental kills, get the object to a point where it is about to blow up and wait for an enemy to go by, and BOOM!

GALLANTRY MEDAL

200 SNIPER RIFLE KILLS 5 MVP AWARDS ON EACH MAP 50 MELEE KILLS SPECIAL OPERATORS MEDAL SUPERIOR SERVICE MEDAL

If you have gotten most of the other trophies, this will be very close to finished. The last thing you should have to do is 5 MVP awards on each map and 50 melee kills. For the MVPs, just simply get the most kills. Easiest when done with a small number of people. For the melee kills, use the shotgun class, that way, if you mess up melee-ing you have a quick out for a good chance to survive. Hiding behind walls will be helpful for this trophy.

LEGION OF MERIT MEDAL

If you have gotten every other trophy, you should be at about 35 MVPs, 3,000 kills, and already have all of the headshots. Now you just play small matches of the objectives to get everything but the kills. Last thing that you should need to do for this trophy, is to get 5,000 kills. Now, that is all that you need to focus on. Killing. You should only need around 2,000 kills so it will hopefully not take too long, as you will be pretty good at this game by now.
