Introduction:
If you played River City Ransom, Double Dragon, TMNT: Turtles in Time, or X-Men Arcade, you’ll enjoy this game even more. Scott Pilgrim vs. The World: The Game is an 8-bit style action side-scrolling beat ‘em up based off the comic series with the same name. You play as Scott Pilgrim and/or his friends, Ramona, Stills, and Kim as you journey around Toronto and fight all of Ramona’s 7 evil exes.
Road Map:
Step 1: Start the game as Scott Pilgrim in Supreme Master difficulty.
When you first play the game, start out as Scott Pilgrim in Supreme Master difficulty. Not only will you unlock half the trophies you’ll get by playing (New Challenger, Dirty Trick, Shopaholic, Armed And Dangerous, Twin Dragons, Vigilante), you’ll also snag the only gold trophy once you beat the final stage as Scott (Get The Girl) and One Man Army.
Step 2: Play the game as Kim, Stills, and Ramona to unlock NegaScott.
Once you finished Supreme Master and unlocked One Man Army and Get The Girl, play the game on Average Joe with the remaining three character and finish the story to unlock NegaScott. Use him once to command his striker, NegaKnife, to count for "Chaudown".
Step 3: Clean up the remaining trophies.
Now this is a good time to go for The Power Of Friendship, Invulnerable, "Chaudown", and any remaining trophies you’re missing.

About the DLC Expansion:
Knives Chau vs. The World is the 1st DLC expansion for the rock-n-roll action love story of Scott Pilgrim. Now the ex-girlfriend Knives Chau is a playable character, as well as a new player vs. player arena (Battle Royal) and Dodgeball mode. Additionally, the new DLC comes with a free patch that fixes some of the glitches in the game, including the infamous Chaudown trophy glitch from the original main game. The free patch also allows players to drop in or drop out of the game at anytime while playing and it lowers the difficulty of Average Joe which will make trophy hunting much easier than before. The only thing that isn't added to the game is an online multiplayer. Sadly, Ubisoft has stated that this feature is not going to be added to this game. The good thing is that trophies can be earned with 1-2 controllers by yourself which is a good thing.
Helpful Cheat Codes and Glitches:
Scott's Heart Sword (At the Title Screen)
, , , , , ,
Survival Horror (aka Zombie Mode; At the Title Screen)
Select any character and defeat the first Evil Ex.
Press to Exit Game
Select main character that you want to increase money for
Using another controller as a "guest" join the game
Select the character with the most cash on them as your "guest" character
Start the game and select Shopping District
Enter into the shop and have the "guest" lend all of their money with the button towards player 1
Once Knives has all of their money, press and then Return To Map (autosaves here)
Once on the World Map, press and then Exit Game
Repeat as much as you want as Player 1 has the money increase and Player 2 still has their money that they just lend.
Step 1: Complete the First World as Knives Chau
For this step you're simply preparing yourself for the 90 minute Speed Run playthrough for Step 2, so you'll need to beat the first Evil Ex. Start Story Mode on Average Joe and select Knives as your character and complete the first world as her until you've defeated the first Evil Ex. Be sure to have the Scott's Heart Sword cheat code enabled to make your playthrough much easier.
Step 2: Do the Infinite Money, Experience Cheats
By this step, you should have beaten the first Evil Ex as Knives. Now it's time to do the infinite money and experience cheats to max out Knives status. To do this you'll need two controllers. Begin Story Mode as Knives and use a second controller to have a guest join in the game. Now make the "guest" character player with the most money. Start the game and once on the World Map, select Shopping District. Go into the first store and have the "guest" character give Knives all of their money to her. After the transfer is completed, press the button and then select Return To Map (the game will autosave). Once you're at the World Map simply press button and then select Exit Game. Now when you play as Knives she will have whatever amount of money that you lend her. The game doesn't save the "guest" status so that "guest" character still has the money that they lend towards Knives too. Repeat this as much as you like until you have about $1500+ cash on Knives.
Once you have a decent amount of money after doing the money cheat it’s time to max out Knives status. Begin Story Mode as Knives and once on the World Map, select Shopping District and go into the first store. Pay off Scott's late fees ($504.25). Now you can buy videos each for $4.95! Buy the following for your Speed Run playthrough:
The Mystical Head
Increases life by 1UP (buy until item is sold out)
Increase XP +1500 (buy about 15-20 until you're level 16)
Now you have a maxed out Knives for your Speed Run. You can exit the shop and run down the street until you get to the secret store with the star on it in the tunnels. Enter the store and buy the following snack:
Ambrosia ($59.95)
Completely restores both HP and GP when your HP is reduced to 0
After the purchase of the snack, press the button and select Return to Map, so you can autosave the game for Step 3. Now you're at the World Map simply press button and then select Exit Game.
Step 3: Complete the game as Knives in less than 90 minutes on Average Joe
Now it's time for the Speed Run playthrough where you'll have to complete the game in less than 90 minutes. Begin Story Mode on Average Joe and select the very first level Frozen Suburbs (Once you've completed it select Case Lomo's Film Set next). You've most likely beaten the game before, so you'll be familiar with the levels and Evil Exes. If you are using the Scott's Heart Sword cheat this will make your playthrough a breeze especially if you've done the Infinite Money and Experience cheat as well. Play through the entire game as you normal would and you should complete the game in about 45-50 minutes on average. Be sure that you do this in one single sitting in order to ensure that you unlock the trophy. Also while playing through the game, when you make it to World 5: Halloween Party, this is your chance to grab yourself the It’s All In The Reflexes trophy. Once you've defeated the first mini boss: Robot-01. Grab the baseball that you see next to the hockey stick and throw the baseball at the walls with the button and then press and [hold] button to catch the baseball that you just threw. Repeat this 25 times until you unlock the following trophy:
It’s All In The Reflexes
After you've defeated and “break” Gideon, you'll have the following trophy:
Speed Run
Step 4: Doing either of the Ninja Somersault methods Ninja Somersault is the hardest trophy in the game. In order to unlock the trophy you must simply perform at least 10 consecutive head stomps successfully with Knives. The head stomp is one of Knives Move List attacks. You can perform the Head Stomp by pressing the button in mid air. It's a level 11 move, but you should be a level 16 even before this step. There are a variety of methods that you can do to go about obtaining this trophy. You can refer to the trophy guide for more information about the methods. Once you've completed your 10th and successful head stomp without getting blocked or hit, you'll unlock the following trophy:
Ninja Somersault
Step 5: Clean up
Potentially this step isn't necessary, but you might have missed a chance to do the It’s All In The Reflexes trophy or have failed multiple times at the Ninja Somersault trophy. Please refer to the trophy guide descriptions for more information.

Introduction
Welcome back to Scott Pilgrim! After many awkward years of development, this DLC is finally out of the closet. This adds the flamboyant Wallace to the crew and, also for the first time, Online Multiplayer co-op.
If you played the original game, you already know how much fun this game is to play. It is even better online - well, if you can connect that is. The online play is lag-ridden and can drop players mid-game if one of your internet connections isn't top shelf quality.
Roadmap
Step 1: Online
Play Online and complete any stage as each of the five required characters (Scott/Kim/Stills/Ramona/Wallace), with 200+ total KO's done by your characters. By doing this you will unlock:
Wallace the novice! Everybody wants to play Wallaciraptor!
Step 2: Beat the game as Wallace
Simply beat the game as Wallace for the final trophy. This can be done online or offline. For more information, see And… It’s a Wrap!
[PS3T Would Like to Thank TigerLust for this Roadmap]
All you have to do is defeat the first ex without losing a life. It’s best to wait until you’re a couple of levels higher to do this. Also I recommend if you’re low on health by the time you’re close to fighting him, run back to the shopping center and buy some food that’ll heal and upgrade you and buy one food/drink you can take on the go for back up.
You should get this on your first playthrough. To make things easier, when you’re close to the separate statue that requires you to attack to unlock the door, grab any weapon that you can find and use it against the twins. Keep swinging until you defeat both of them.
You should be able to get this on your first playthrough in Stage 1. When an enemy is down, quickly pick up an interactive object nearby and throw it at him until he’s disappears.
Play through a World and reach the boss without getting hit.
This trophy will give you a hard time. You have to beat any one of the stages from beginning (where you start as if you were playing for the first time) to where you defeat an ex without losing one damage.
There's a cheaper method that's more easier. Confirmed by IDOLO1013.
1. Go to the first part of Stage 3 (the part where you’ll see Todd and two girls arrive from a limo). As soon as you see GO! on the screen, quickly return to the map and select the second part of Stage 3 (Main Stage).
2. As you get on stage, quickly defeat the first girl you’ll fight and Todd will smack you to the next scene. Just keep going through walls until you reach the Bass Battle. Do what you normally do during that scene and as soon as he tosses you through the wall for a fight, the trophy should pop up.
In case you want to see how it's done, here's a video.
If you have two controllers, chose any two characters and play Stage 1. When you get near the giant hole in the street, keep making Player 2 fall in it until he/she is dead. When you see a timer with the circle button, get close to him/her and tap the circle button until he/she revives. Do this a couple of time and the trophy will pop up.
An easier method for those that don’t have an extra controller is to do this:
1. Go to Options > Settings > Turn Friendly Hits On.
2. At the character selection screen, hold the PS button for the menu.
3. Reassign the controller to slot 2.
4. Choose a weak character as player 2 then switch back to slot 1 and do the same. I recommend Scott for player 1 because he should be your strongest character.
5. Go to the first level and keep attacking player 2 until he/she dies and you have to revive him/her.
You have to find every store that sells food and buy/eat them all. There are also some secret stores that sell food and you have to find those too. Below is a list of the store locations, food names and price required for this trophy. There's also a thread made by Eddafred where you can see screen shots and what the food items can do (heal HP and upgrade attributes).

Sauteed Shiitake 9.95

Microwave Chicken 3.95
Play the game as any character (Scott if playing for the first time) in Supreme Master and finish off Gideon for the trophy.
Heads up for the final stage: Unless you’re good at fighting Gideon’s second form without losing the sword, I strongly recommend you buy at least 8 or more extra lives and fully powered up Scott (level 16 and all four of his attributes to 100 max) from the video store in the first stage. To make it easier, save up 504.25 to pay off Scott's late fee for the video store in Shopping District and you'll be able to buy lives and attributes boosters for 4.95 each. Gideon's second form will give you a hard time if you have less than 3 lives because he can punch you off the platform when he starts destroying part of it during the fight and if you do fall with the sword in your hand, it’s gone for good.
Defeat at least 200 enemies using interactive objects.
Defeat any enemy you encounter with any object that you can pick up: trash bag, baseball bat, key, sword, etc. Use the square button to attack with it. Do this 200 times and the trophy will pop up.
Here’s a list of all the strikers you need to command for the trophy. If you unlock Mr. Chau as one character (Scott for example), then only that character can use him and his wife.
Credit goes to Alexyuki for the list.
Knife: Default for Scott, Stills, Ramona, and Kim. Mr. Chau: He appears randomly after you complete a stage and when you see him, fight him and he’ll be unlocked. Be warned that if you lose the fight, you’ll have to keep playing stages again until he appears on the map for the second time. Ms. Chau: She’s also unlocked as you already have Mr. Chau, but she appears randomly when you push L1. NegaKnife: Default for NegaScott. To unlock NegaScott, finish the game with all 4 characters. For some reason, this trophy is glitched for some people. Keep using strikers for all characters and check your trophy list to see if it's there. If that doesn't work, you may have to restart the whole game and try again.
Catch a flying object at least 25 times with Knives.
This is the easiest trophy in the DLC and its best done on World 5: Halloween Party. Play through the level until you've reached the first mini boss: Robot-01. Defeat him in battle and then grab the baseball that you see next to the hockey stick and throw the baseball at the walls with the button and then press and [hold] button to catch the baseball that you've just thrown. Repeat this 25 times until your trophy unlocks. It's good to note that you must be level 4 or higher as Knives to Catch objects, although you're most likely level 16.
This trophy is rather simple and not as challenging as it appears to be. I recommend that you use the cheat for Scott's Heart Sword: , , , , , , at the title screen and that you do the Infinite Money, Experience cheat found in the roadmap. To do the Infinite Money, Experience cheat you'll first have to defeat the first Evil Ex as Knives. When you're ready and have defeated the first Evil Ex do the experience cheats to max out Knives. Begin Story Mode and select Shopping District and enter the first shop to pay off Scott's late fees ($504.25). Now you can buy videos each for $4.95! Buy the following for your Speed Run playthrough:
The Mystical Head
Increases life by 1UP (buy until item is sold out)
Increase XP +1500 (buy about 15-20 until you're level 16)
Now that you have a maxed out Knives for your Speed Run, you can exit the shop and run down the street until you get to the secret store with the star on it in the tunnels. Enter the store and buy the following snack:
Ambrosia ($59.95)
Completely restores both HP and GP when your HP is reduced to 0
After the purchase of the snack, press the button and select Return to Map, so you can autosave the game. Now that you're at the World Map simply press button and then select Exit Game.
Now you're truly ready for the Speed Run playthrough where you'll have to complete the game in less than 90 minutes. Begin Story Mode on Average Joe and select the very first level Frozen Suburbs (Once you completed it select Case Lomo's Film Set next). You've most likely beaten the game before, so you'll be familiar with the levels and Evil Exes. If you are using the Scott's Heart Sword cheat this will make your playthrough a breeze especially if you've done the Infinite Money and Experience cheat as well. Play through the entire game as you normally would and you should complete the game in about 45-50 minutes on average. Be sure that you do this in one single sitting in order to ensure that you unlock the trophy. After you've defeated and “break” Gideon, you'll unlock the trophy.
: This trophy can now be obtain online with a boosting partner as of the Online Multiplayer and Wallace DLC Pack.
Ninja Somersault is the hardest trophy in the game. In order to unlock the trophy you must simply perform at least 10 consecutive head stomps successfully with Knives. The head stomp is one of Knives Move List attacks. You can perform the Head Stomp by pressing the button in mid air. It's a level 11 move, but you should be a level 16. There are a variety of methods that you can do to go about obtaining this trophy. Once you've completed your 10th and successful head stomp without getting blocked or hit, you'll unlock the trophy. Below are the three best methods:
Method 1: Very Difficult Method
This is the hardest method, but this is the original normal method for obtaining the trophy. Begin the Story Mode on Average Joe and as Knives and then select Subspace Highway? Once you're in the level, proceed to face Gideon's second form of the Angle/Mutant. Now you may be tempted to do the head stomps on the Mutant Evil Exes, but he'll just eventually do his shock attack to hurt you. Simply defeat the first Mutant form and he'll face you himself. Now try your best to get into a good position and jump into the air with and continue to press the button against him. If you're lucky enough to manage to do the 10 consecutive head stomps successfully without being hurt, missing or blocked, then you'll unlock the trophy. The only thing that makes this method hard is that it doesn't always work out this way. For one, he'll usually back away once you hit him for the 8th time causing you to miss him. He can also punch you off the stage which does a lot of damage and sometimes he slams his fist on to the ground which interferes with you attacking him. Try to start hitting him when he gets close to you and keep spamming the button while in the air to keep the consecutive head stomps going. If you were lucky to pull it off you get 11 consecutive hits and he'll enter lightning attack mode.
Method 2: Medium Difficult Method
This is the second best method for obtaining the trophy. Begin the Story Mode on Average Joe and as Knives and then select Subspace Highway? Now after jumping onto the platform with the Scott's Heart Sword in your hand, connect a 2nd controller and have a "guest" ready to join into the game as "Ramona", but first use the Sword to defeat the Mutant Evil Exes form then quickly throw the Sword away with the button. Now quickly press the button on your 2nd controller to have Ramona join into the game. Move her towards the upper portion of the screen next to the blue pillar and have her use her Striker by pressing the button. Now both characters will be in Ex Mode making them faster. Now get close to Gideon and jump into the air with and continue pressing the button to perform head stomps. If lucky you'll get over 10 consecutive head stomps right there. If not, there are a few things that could happen. One of the most common things that happens is once you get the 8th consecutive hit, Gideon will back up and out of your reach causing you to miss him; however, thanks to the Ex Mode from Ramona you can simply start spamming the Tech 2 attack with + while still in the air. This tech will send you higher into the air and will keep your combo going. This is why Ramona's Striker is needed to get Knives into Ex Mode. When Gideon returns back into your reach, continue to hit him with the remaining amount of head stomps that you need. Moments later the trophy will unlock. It's also worth mentioning that he won't attack you if you attack him right away when he's back into reach. This method was originally mentioned by pillsbury15.
If you're wondering where to unlock Tech 2, then you must play through World 6: The Park and make it into the secret shop where you see four guys standing outside. Press the button to enter the secret shop and buy the Special Training for $57.50. Check your Move List and you'll notice that you have Tech 2 unlocked. Note that if you unlocked Tech 1 instead of Tech 2, then simply press and select Return to Map. Now Select World 6: The Park over again and make it to the shop to buy the Special Training once again. This time you'll have Tech unlocked.
Method 3: Medium/Easy Difficult Depending on Skills
This is another common way to go about obtaining the trophy, but it's the most time consuming way and requires skill as well as luck. The first thing you'll need to do is use the Survival Horror (aka Zombie Mode) at the title screen with the following code: , , , , , , , , , , . Now that you've entered that code, you'll have a new mode inside the Extra Game Modes. Go into Extra Game Modes and select Survival Horror on Average Joe difficultly and then select Knives as your character. Now it's time to get to the killing. You'll need to kill an extremely high amount of zombies in order to fill the screen full of zombies. I recommend that you kill around 75-90+ zombies. Do this by getting over 5 kills without getting hit to have Knives enter Ex Mode. Once in Ex Mode, jump into the air with and then spam Tech 2 by pressing the + to quickly rack up kills. Once you're close to a decent high amount of kills such as 75-90+, simply go towards the bottom of the screen or either the middle of the screen and spam the + and + over and over again. This trick will help you line the zombies up for you to continue to head stomp. Once you feel like you're ready, jump into the air with and start head stomping with button. Make sure that each hit connects and inflicts damage towards the zombie you hit. If the zombie you hit blocks the attack or if you miss or just simply got hit the consecutive counter will reset and you will have to retry the consecutive head stomps over again. If you're lucky to pull off this method you'll unlock the trophy.
DLC: Scott Pilgrim Online Multiplayer and Wallace pack
You can create a public or private match for two to four players or join a match, any of those will work just fine. One thing to note though is that a 4 player game actually requires all four players to begin, and will often have extreme lag. Even the 2P game can be lag-ridden with failed connections when starting, so I can't suggest 3P or 4P matches. More players mean more enemies, so the matches are somewhat balanced out regardless.
You can quickly power through stage one online, and you can even skip half the stage by selecting Shopping District when creating a new lobby. When you defeat the boss and return to the map, it saves that character's completion, and then it is safe to disconnect and play with the next character. There is no quit option on the map select screen so just start any stage (or wait for the host to), you can then quit from the menu.
You will need to finish any level online with each of these five characters:
Scott
Kim
Stills
Ramona
Wallace
You do not need to play as Negascott or Knives Chau! Also note that although you can play Stage 1 (as Scott/Kim/Stills/Ramona), without the DLC installed, that progress does not count for this trophy till after the DLC is installed.
Replay the core game again as Wallace. This can be done online or offline, and you can even do this on the Average Joe difficulty. You do actually need to play the entire game, and skipping to the final boss won't work.
Note that while all stages are available to select online, the online progress does not save into your offline story mode. For example, if you completed the first three stages offline, and play stage four online, when returning to your story it will only show you have completed the first three stages (and you can only continue from there or earlier). You can however complete the remaining stages online. Using the above example of the first three stages completed in offline story mode, you can play stages four to the end online and get the trophy!
If you want to make this real easy on yourself, you can use the money and in-game cheats to do this even quicker. These cheats can only be done offline, however your overpowered character can then be taken online:
Money/overpowered cheat:
Complete stage 1 on story mode (offline) with Wallace if you haven't already. Now start up a local 2P game with Wallace on controller 1 and on controller 2, pick guest profile with whatever character of yours has the most money. Select the Shopping District (Stage 1.5) and jump into the video store. Have controller two hold down to lend all his money to Wallace. Then exit the video store, return to map (this saves the money for Wallace but leaves the other with the original amount) and quit the game. You can repeat this as often as needed, but you need less than $1000 total to get everything you need. Now have Wallace jump into the video store again, pay Scott's late fees of $504.50 to be able to rent movies at $4.95 each (in game money). Purchase as many Alone and Disturbed videos as you need to hit level 16. Then get ten copies of Seven Shaolin Masters to raise your stats to the max (each purchase adds +10, and max is 100). Lastly, grab up to nine copies of The Mystical Head as each one will add another life (you can have up to 9).
Boss Rush mode (only works for offline games):
When at the main title screen, press:
Heart Sword (only works for offline games):
When at the main title screen, press:
(There are other cheats as well but these are the ones that make it easier/faster).
These 200 KO's need to be your own, your co-op partner's KO's do not count for you. When you finish a stage, it shows how many KO's you each got for that particular stage. Any of the first several stages have easier enemies, so feel free to just keep replaying those till you get this. This 200 count is cumulative as well, and stacks from multiple online sessions. Note that although you can play Stage 1 without the DLC installed, that progress does not count for this trophy.
You may get this while going for Everybody wants to play. If not, simply keep playing online and defeating enemies. While 4P will have more enemies, it also means more are competing for those KO's so I suggest sticking with 2P for less lag/connection issues. OldSnoova suggests you repeat the second part of the third stage as there are a ton of enemies there.
Another option is playing the entire game online as Wallace with a friend, both going for And… It’s a Wrap! This is a great game to play with both of you as Wallace to earn both trophies at the same time.
