Introduction
Rio is a party type game based off the movie of the same name. With a collection of 40 different minigames and numerous different game play styles, it keeps the game entertaining and fun for a long period of time, which is good because you will need to play through the minigames a large number of times to finish up everything. Most of the trophies themselves are very easy and will come without too much problem, the main one that you might find problems with is getting the "gold standard" in every game through Party Mode (requires you to come in 1st in all of them while on HARD difficulty). Other than that, the only other grind of a trophy will be the one to come in 1st place on 200 minigames total, but you will knock a lot of those out while going after the other trophies in the game, so it won't be too bad.

Walkthrough

Step 1: Story Mode Playthrough
To make this part easier, use 3 human & 1 CPU players and set the difficulty to easy. Start the game and make sure that your player comes in 1st place in all 30 of the minigames. If by some chance you are going to or do lose a minigame (not come in first), then exit back out to the XMB without saving, reload and restart to take yourself right back to that same level to try again. While playing, try to start working towards the powerup trophies and their requirements as well. Also make note of the minigames you play so you know what 10 you still need to do for part of the next step. After you complete Story Mode and come in 1st in all the games, you will acquire A Good Start, Happily Ever After, & Story Superstar.

Step 2: Party Mode (All Variations)
For this step, you are going to want to play all 4 variations of the Party Mode style game types, as well as finish off the quiz and 1st in minigames trophies. Here is my suggestion for knocking these out quickly:

• Vs: Choose only one minigame, start the game and make sure that you finish in 1st place (Vs Veteran)
• Team: Choose only one minigame, start the game and make sure that you finish in 1st place (Team Player)
• Vs + Quiz: Select the 10 remaining games that you didn't play in Story Mode, plus an additional 15-20 more so that you can almost guarantee yourself that you will get all of the quiz questions asked to you. Make sure that you come in 1st place in the 10 games not played in Story Mode and be in first at the end of the game as well. (Quiz Champion, Movie Mogul, Brazillian Brains, + Remaining Minigame Level completion/1st place trophies)
• Team + Quiz: Select only one minigame, start the game and make sure you answer the two questions you get correctly and take 1st place. If you are missing either of the Movie Mogul or Brazillian Brains trophies, then select 20 random to give yourself the best chance at it, but make sure to answer everything correctly then. (Quiz Team Champions & Quiz Master)

Step 3: Carnaval Wheel
The easiest way to get this trophy is to use 4 human players (4 controllers) as you have a better control over the points that get selected for each game and have an easy time winning each round. Start a new game of Carnaval Wheel and make sure you win as many of the games as possible so that you gain the most amount of points possible. You're goal is to not only come in first place (for Wheel Winner), but also get over 700 points total in the game (Star Spinner; See description for tips on how to do so).

Step 4: Carnaval Dance Games
You'll have a much easier time with these if you have 4 human players since you'll be able to control that you win and where everyone else places in order to adjust the scores as needed to ensure victory in the end. There are two versions of Carnaval Dance, Standard & Crazy. Select whichever one you want to start, playthrough it and make sure you are in 1st at the end. Rinse and repeat for the other mode after you finish the first. Winning them both will net you Follow The Leader & Crazy Champion.

Step 5: Garland Gala Playthroughs
Again, best to use 4 human players here so that you can win every round and aquire more garlands for the final challenge. There are 3 levels of "difficulty" in Garland Gala. I'd suggest doing them in the order they are on the screen (Luiz, Mauro & then Nigel) as it will give you a chance to practice the final game prior to the harder point challenges. Once you finish all 3 character's challenge levels, you'll get Garland Gala Novice, Garland Gala Pro & Garland Gala Gulu.


Step 6: Party Mode Playthrough (Gold Standard Run)
You must have the difficulty set to HARD in order to get the gold trophies in Party Mode for the minigames. Start a "Vs" game and select all 40 minigames. The easiest way to do is to use 4 human players (4 controllers) and have one of them drop out before the game ends so a CPU player takes over, allowing you to get the gold in it. To do this, make sure all 4 players are being human at the start of each minigame, have your player get a huge lead until there's only about 10 seconds left in the round (or when your down to only one opponent left and they are almost finished). Once you are at that point, hit select on whichever controller you wish (or whichever opponent is remaining) to drop them out of the game and allow the CPU to take over control of them, then just make sure to come in 1st place. When the next game starts, make sure you re-assign that player to a controller so you have 4 human players again. Rinse and repeat for all 40 games. Once you finish all 40 minigames and get the gold trophy in each, you will get Party Perfection.

Step 7: Clean Up
At this point, you may only be missing a few of the misc trophies and/or the 200 1st place wins one. Just go back and play misc minigames through Party Mode and grind out whatever you need for the remaining trophies. Once you obtain all 50 of the regular trophies, the platinum will be yours!
