Synopsis: In the distant future, Earth has undergone a drastic change in the environment. For reasons unknown, poisonous layers of gases permeated the land, causing cancer, which resulted in near extinction for mankind due to humanity's inability to adapt to the new changes. The remaining humans built a gigantic device called Basel, an environment purifier buried deep in the ground, which cleanses the air in the surrounding land, it was called the Zenith system. Civilization began to reform around Basel itself, building a city around the tower. In order to overcome the cancer, human lives were tied to quartz and linked to the Zenith system, making them immune to disease and mutation, but requiring them to remain in the city, and giving them a set shelf-life. Step into the World of 3 Hunters: Vashyron, Zephyr, and Leanne who take on odd and dangerous jobs for clients from simple deliveries to adrenaline-filled elimination missions. Each character has their own past, each somehow tied to Zenith in mysterious ways, each has miraculously survived Death in the past. Now, jump headon into their roles as their resonating fates bring them together, and you guide their hands as they seek to challenge the Hand of Fate that which guides Men. Roadmap Before we start, a word of warning, this is not a game for those who prefer simple battle mechanics, lack patience or dislike planning/analyzing. This is a RPG that will require a degree of understanding of it's complex battle systems. Play through a couple of hours though and you'll start to get the hang of it, but that won't be sufficient as in-combat planning will start to come into play midway through the game and you need to understand the complete game mechanics and know the strengths and weaknesses of your team and your enemies.
Step 1: Play up till Chapter 16 During Prologue, your first agenda should be to visit the Arena, speak to the person on the left and go through all the optional Tutorials. Fail to grasp the system sufficiently and you'll struggle to get past Chapter 1. Have a look at the RoF: Encyclopedia which includes Tutorials and Other Useful Info if you find the game a tad bit difficulty to understand. Each Chapter features 1-2 Story Missions that must be completed to advance to the next chapter. You receive the Story Mission in your base, go to see the client, then off you go to complete it. Upon completion, you either need to report back to the client or you need to return to your base where you will be prompted if you wish to advance to the next chapter. I have included dungeon/boss tips and other pointers in the Story Trophies to the best of my ability and you may refer to them if you're facing difficulty in progressing. Also included is the amount of sidequests available in each Chapter. Note 1: Each chapter includes 2-6 sidequests that must be completed in that specific chapter BEFORE you advance to the next one, or you will automatically "fail" them and you will miss out on " Legendary Hunter" trophy. Majority of the trophies are related to the story or combat milestones, such as defeating 3000 enemies, performing 100 Bonus Hits et cetera. Your battle records/trophy progress can be found in the Arena on the shelf to the right of the counter. Some trophies that you may wish to take note as they require strategy/planning are: Resonance Miser, Bullet Barrage, Shopaholic, and Four Terminal Chain. Of special interest is the Infinite Money Trick that I have attached to the trophy "Shopaholic" and the Easy Leveling Trick under "Hundred Plus Club" which will be alot of use to you. Step 2: Chapter 16
During Chapter 16, for the last Story Dungeon - Basilica, you will encounter 2 sub-bosses before the final boss. Defeating these two sub-bosses will give you the necessary "Black Hexes" to unlock an Optional Dungeon - Neverland and also unlock the last 5 ranks of the Arena. At this point, it is advisable to use an Escape Hex to exit the dungeon and clean up the Arena and use the Black Hexes to access Neverland dungeon for the following missable trophies: Kings of Neverland, Basel's Liberator, Stardust Hunter and Challenge Conqueror. To summarize: Go into last Story dungeon Basilica, defeat the 2 sub-bosses, exit dungeon, complete Neverland and Arena then go finish up the story. Also in Chapter 16, there will be a sidequest "Rebel Termination Order", which is related to " Disrespect Your Elders" trophy and requires to terminate a certain enemy, failure to complete this mission will result in you missing out on the trophy. If you're gunning for the "Legendary Hunter" trophy which is to complete all missions, then you should be fine. If you go on to defeat the Final Boss, you might need to redo the entire Arena again, and you lose access to Neverland until you beat the two sub-bosses again in New Game+. See the respective Trophy Descriptions for further details, or the Story trophy "Clear the Game" if you don't mind spoilers. Completing the game (remember to complete Arena and Neverland 1st!) will allow you to create a Clear Save, which you can use to start New Game+ on the same difficulty or Hard difficulty. You retain Levels, Items, Money and Normal Hexes (Colored Hexes do not carry over!) if playing on same difficulty whereas you start on a clean slate if playing on Hard.
Step 3: 2nd Playthrough + Clean Up After starting New Game+ and getting Lap Two Rush, clean up any remaining combat trophies that you have yet to achieve, then speed you way through the Story (if you chose the same difficulty) which can be done in less than 6 hours. At this point you will obtain Lap Two Complete. Step 4: 3rd Playthrough (optional)
If you neglected to do Neverland and Arena on your 1st and 2nd playthrough. you're gonna need to play all the way up till you defeat the 2 sub-bosses again in Chapter 16, then work on the relevant trophies. To defeat an enemy, you must use a Machine Gun (MG) to deal Scratch Damage(SD) to its main body, then follow up with Handgun (HG) to deal Direct Damage(DD), which will deplete their health bar. |

To initiate a Tri-Attack, you must first acquire at least 1 Resonance Point. On any character’s turn, press to plan a Tri-Attack. Use or to select who goes first, and to change the direction in which they move, then to start the attack. During the attack, characters will build charges, and you press to release the charges. Each character must attack at least once or the trophy will not unlock. |

You start the game with 1 MG, 2 HG and 1 Grenade Box. There are many difficulty spikes in the game, for example in Chapter 4 where the game’s difficulty turns up a few notches. You should always swap the guns and Grenade Box around your 3 characters so they can level up faster rather than stick to single weapon type only. Levelling up is the only way to build more charges and increase your weight allowance so that you can dual wield guns (especially since MGs are crucial to the game)
The earliest chapter where you can obtain a second MG is in Chapter 6-7, at the end of the optional dungeon Dakota Veins on Level 9, but I suggest you hold it off until you’re around level 40-45.

Starting from Chapter 7-8, you can encounter Lvl19-23 Hooded Gangster on Level 10 that rarely drops Dark Purple hexes. Goto Level 6, use those dark purple hexes to unlock the Terminals: Exp x1.5 and Double Amp. Double Amp basically doubles the effect of all other linked terminals, so in this case you get 3x Exp !! Use Teal Hexes to link those two terminals all the way to the elevator, which will extend their effects to Level 4 above. They are dropped by Shady Thugs on Level 7-9. Continue using teal hexes to link the elevator on Level 4 to the Arena. In total you'll need 73 teal hexes minimum to activate those 2 Terminals. You probably won't have enough Teal hexes to activate the Double Amp terminal at first, so you could instead activate Exp 1.5x first, then goto Arena Ranks 12,14,17 and 18 to farm more while enjoying a lil Exp bonus. (Credits to StarksKettle) Now equip your MG user with EXP Trainer and Auto Trigger. Arena Battle Rank 20-3 consists of 1 Bronze Blob, 1 Silver Blob, 1 Gold Blob. Kill off the first two. Using your MG user, charge as long as you want and unleash it on the Gold Blob, who will recover SD very quickly, unless the SD fills over 60% of his health bar. If so, ease off your charges so it can recover as usual. With EXP Trainer equipped + Terminal effects, your MG user will gain 6x Exp !! Equip the other 2 characters with MGs as well if you have enough If you wish to stop grinding and return later, turn around and walk out the Red Barrier. This is a one-time battle only and killing the blob now will effectively stop you from grinding further. You can link other Terminal Effects like Increasing Item Drop Rates and Rare Items Drop Rate to get as much benefit out of grinding the many Arena Battles too

I got this trophy accidentally without thinking, so maybe you can too if you have the same setup as me. In Chapter 8, you will encounter the Tri-Stamp Boss in Paterpolis. Here’s my setup: Zephyr (Lvl 45) with fully customized Dual Wielding MGs. Vashyron will 1 fully customized HG and First Aid Kit. Have your MGs equipped with good magazines, but it’s ok if you don’t have any. I also had 8 Full Bezels at this point, good for making a lot of Hero Runs/Jumps. First, take out all the boss’s minions, they can inflict poison which is a pain to deal with. Next, taking out the Boss’ right hand/Giant Hammer takes TOP PRIORITY. Without this hammer, all he can do is Melee Attacks and summon minions. Now, use Zephyr to perform Hero Runs and build as many charges before letting loose on the boss. If the boss/minions approaches Zephyr/Vashyron, move them away with Hero Run while attacking at the same time. If you need Bezels, consider taking out any minions that he summons. Avoid getting hit at all costs, getting hit cancels your Combo Hits. You should be able to build up 500 hits in 2-3 rounds using Zephyr alone with Hero Runs and score Bonus Hits.
ALTERNATIVE: I've never had much luck with Tri-Attacks, but if the above doesn't work for you, gather as many Resonance Points as you can, have 2 MG users charge as much as possible and let them attack first, targetting an enemy with alot of health, or a Bunker , then finish off with the 3rd member. Large magazines help. |

A Resonance Point is awarded whenever a characters crosses an imaginary line between the other two characters while performing a Hero Action. Explaining how to achieve this trophy with a paragraph of text is gonna be confusing and hard to understand so here's a diagram with instructions: http://i24.photobucket.com/albums/c36/yewjhin/RoFRPMiserA.png
So basically it's like a moving shifting triangle. An easy place to do this is in the Forest of Idols (main dungeon map), during Chapter 7-8 while your characters are around Level 40. Get into a battle, which will likely consist of 4 Lvl 10+ enemies (Mr. Chainsaw/Bomberman/Flamethrower etc..) each with 4 parts (4 parts + main body = 5 potential Bezels per enemy) that are easily destroyed at your level. Equip all your characters with HGs and each turn you should run towards the part you want destroyed and build up just enough charges to destroy it. Try to destroy all the parts first, avoid damaging the main body before killing the enemy off. I went into the battle with 8 Full Bezels and destroyed the parts as necessary to refill any empty Bezels.

To initiate a Hero Action (HA), you need to first have at least 1 Bezel, which are those red jewels at the bottom of your screen. Press to plan a HA and choose the direction that you want to move. Press again to start a Hero Run (HR). HR is basically your character running towards the specified destination while allowing you to attack. Pressing again during HR turns it into a Hero Jump (HJ) where your character jumps (across insane distances and over enemies/obstacles) to the specified destination plus you can also build attack during a HJ. You just need to attack 1000 times during a HR or HJ. |

To land a Bonus Hit, you need to first shoot an enemy into the air during a Hero Run. Once in the air, continue hitting them and you will see a circle with a yellow gauge start to build. Sometimes you will get a spinning arrow around the circle. You need to land the arrow within the yellow area by pressing for a Bonus Hit to initiate. Bonus Hits will increase your charge rate exponentially and all you have to do after this is release those charges while the enemy is still in the air with again. If the yellow gauge is too small, you may choose to press to preserve the Bonus Hit for the next time you build up the gauge again. Equipping the "Shooting Star" accessory, preferably on your MG user helps alot. |

To perform a Smackdown, first you need to shoot an enemy into the air during a Hero Run (HR). Press during HR to jump into the air and when you are on a higher altitude than the enemy (who is still in the air), release your gun charges to shoot him downwards. If he hits the ground, you score a Smackdown, and his body will actually bounce back into the air, where you can shoot him again to perform another Smackdown. You can typically score 2-4 Smackdowns in one jump. |

Any character equipped with a Grenade Box will be able to throw attack items such as Molotov Cocktails, Hand Grenades, Electro Grenades and even Dog Droppings. You can buy grenades from shops or obtain them through dismantling junk at the scrapper. You'll probably need to grind this, but at least you'll earn a some Grenade Levels and level up your characters. |

Basically you just need to defeat any enemy that is fully scratched with a character that is unarmed. Easy to do this on the lower Arena Rank Battles. |

Again, this is one trophy I accidentally achieved during Chapter 6 against the boss Cannon Colossus. On later chapters it'll be easy to achieve this though as enemies have more HP and your MG user will be much stronger and able to perform more hits. Practically unmissable. First, have your HG user WALK to the RIGHT side. The boss will target him and shift his body accordingly. I think there is a bunker which you can hide behind. Equip MG user with Hollow Point+ rounds, Hero Run to his back where his main body is exposed and unleash charges on him. I was able to deal 80% Scratch Damage. Next round, charge and release again with your MG user to fully scratch him. Follow up with Hero Jump from HG user to deal 4000 damage and defeat the boss.

Over the course of the game, you will receive many item drops that say "dismantle to receive scrap parts". Bring this to a Scrapper in any town, and dismantle them one by one (not all at once). Use those parts to create customized mods for your guns again one at a time at a Tinkerer. If you're using the Infinite Money Trick, you'll get this very quickly. See "Shopaholic" below. |

Easy if you utilize the Infinite Money Trick. Starting Chapter 6 or 7, the travelling merchant you met in Forsaken will move to Waterless Bridge on Level 8 and start selling Scrap Irons and Glass Shards, which are components for Compact Scope Beta. Return to the Tinkerer in Ebel City and create a bunch of Compact Scope Betas, they cost 3000 rubies each to make. Sell the Compact Scope Betas to the shopkeeper for 4100 rubies each. Repeat the steps as necessary to make millions then spend your money at the Boutique and purchase any clothing you want till the trophy pops.

Starting Chapter 6, you can gain access to Cranktown, where you can create a whole new list of customised parts for your guns. Attach as many parts as possible using multi-barrels and new scopes and you will unlock this easily. If you need money, see "Shopaholic" above.

As you probably know, you obtain hexes from defeating enemies and use them to open paths on various levels to gain access to Towns, Dungeons and Elevators. If you have OCD or grind alot at the Arenas or in Dungeons, you should have enough to unlock this trophy in Chapters 5-6. |

This trophy requires you to connect four terminals using hexes of the same color (excluding white). Colored hexes can extend beyond the current level by attaching them to Elevators (not Core Lifts).
If you are using the Power Levelling method mentioned above in "Hundred Plus Club" above, you will have already linked 2 terminals with Teal hexes. On level 6, you can link it to another Terminal:Stealth and on Level 4 you can link it to the Terminal near the Hughes Power Station. After linking 4 terminals, you can unlink any Terminals whose effect are undesired by placing a hex of different color on that particular Terminal.

There is no automatic tutorial in battle therefore I highly recommend you visit the Arena first, speak to the person on the left to start the optional battle tutorials and learn everything there is to learn, you will need it badly.
Story Mission: Star from the Heavens Meet your client at Cafe Chelsey, then deliver the quest item to Pater on Level 3. That's it! |

First you need to meet Cardinal Theresa on Level 3, then make a path to Level 6 to the dungeon Lucia. Defeat the boss on the 2nd last hex and mission ends.
Boss Tips: 1. Use Metal Coated rounds with your MG user to destroy his surrounding parts, then use Hollow Rounds once he is exposed. 2. Shoot at any Drum Carriers near the boss to blow it up and inflict damage to the boss. |

Make a path to the Hughes Power Station on Level 4 and enter the dungeon. Kill the boss at the end and the mission ends.
General Tips: You should begin to switch your sole MG around so each character has a chance to use it and increase their MG level. Remember that a character's total level = HG level + MG level + Grenade level. Utilize grenades if you wish to gain 2-3 levels.
Boss Tips: 1. Ensuring that your MG user is not electrocuted is key to this fight. 2. Move your weaker HG user FIRST to behind right bunker. The boss will target and possibly electrocute him. 3. Next, equip MG user with Metal Coated rounds and perform a Hero Jump, dealing Scratch Damage (SD) to all the boss' shields. 4. Then use your second HG user destroy all his shields. 5. Use your MG user to Hero Run to where the Boss' main body is exposed and inflict SD on the main body, then clean up with your HG user. |

Speak to Cardinal Garigliano on Level 3, then return to Level 4, make a path to the Level 5 elevator, goto Level 5, and enter the Forest of Idols dungeon. Defeat the boss on the 2nd last hex.
Boss Tips: 1. Recommended level: 12-15 2. Go directly for the boss. Use Metal Coated or Incendiary rounds with your MG user, then followed by HG user to take out the Boss' parts 3. Utilize Molotov Cocktails if you wish, preferably using your other HG user. |

Story Related. Unmissable. 3 Sidequests Available in this Chapter. Story Mission: The Invitation This will be one of the toughest chapters thus far. If you’re not up to par, you will struggle and fail miserably. I suggest you complete some of the Arena Rank Battles and also try to customise your MG as much as you can with Scopes/Barrels.
Proceed to the Open Air Studio in the Forest of Idols dungeon on Level 5 to meet Cardinal Jean-Paulet (and one of the many funny cutscenes between Vashyron and Leanne). You are asked to escort/protect an Idol all the way to the end of the dungeon. Should the Idol’s health be reduced to zero in any part of the dungeon, you fail the mission.
Dungeon Tips: 1. Save before entering the dungeon. This is crucial!! 2. The Idol moves automatically and its health does not regenerate when moving to a new area, so beware of letting the idol take too much damage. 3. You can position a character directly infront of the Idol to slow down its movement, and use that character to kill off enemies that are fully scratched. 4. Utilize exploding drums to damage any nearby enemies. 5. Retry the hex if the idol has taken too much damage rather than continue on. 6. The boss is on the 2nd last hex and he will focus directly on the idol, so if the idol is near death when you reach him, you might as well start over. This is the same boss as Chapter 3. |

Visit Barbarella on Level 2 then make your way down to Level 8. Visit Cranktown to upgrade your guns and then proceed on to Silver Canyon. The East Bridge contains some nice items, defeat the Boss in Refridgia sub-dungeon.
Boss Tips: 1. Recommended level: 23-25. The boss can freeze your characters, so equip your characters with Ice-Resistant Vests, especially your MG user. 2. Start with MG user, WALK towards the boss. No running, no jumping. You will see the boss charge his attack. When his charge reaches red, STOP WALKING. 3. Plan a Hero Run-Jump over him. If you time the jump correctly, you will jump behind the boss, his attacks will miss, and you can let loose. 4. Use a HG user to clean up SD. 5. Repeat Steps 2 to 4 again. Your second HG user should be equipped with First Aid Box and use Cure Kits to cure status ailments if necessary. |

It is advisable to obtain a second MG after this from the optional dungeon Dakota Veins on Level 9 and fully customize it using the Infinite Money Trick, plus buy whatever equipment you need. |

Dungeon Tips: 1. Highway Hunters pack a punch with their homing missles. Stay close to a wall to avoid damage. They drop nice scrap parts used for creating new custom parts at Albona. 2. Boss is ridiculously easy if you’re at Level 45 and able to Dual Wield MGs. The boss doesn’t have any parts so you can target his main body directly and at this level I scratched 90% of his HP, finished him off in 2 rounds. If you can’t dual wield, equip your MG user with Hollow Point+ rounds. |

Boss Tips: 1. Hopefully you took my advice and save before advancing to this Chapter, because if you’re underleveled or have lousy equipment, you’re screwed. I was around Lvl 60 here. 2. Equip a MG and a HG, and any Physical Damage Reduction accesories you have. You can make 20% reduction rings at the Tinkerer in Ebel City before meeting the Boss at the bridge. 3. The boss has a dissapearing trick that only occurs if you're shooting him from the front, so you should Hero run past him and only release your charges when he's not looking at you. 4. After you finish your first hero run, plan another and repeat the same thing, run past him then release your MG. Then again plan a 3rd run past him but using the HG to finish him |

Boss Tips: 1. FYI, there is a new MG available for 300,000 rubies in the Shop. I fully upgraded it to the following stats: 192 Speed, 29% Acc, 18 Bullets. 2. At level 64, it took me at 2-3 rounds to take out the Boss when focusing on him directly. |

Boss Tips: 1. The fight consists of 3 phases. Phase 1: Stay where you are and finish off the 3 R-Commando Assaults 2. Phase 2: Take cover behind a bunker and use normal attacks to eliminate the turrets by targeting their shields (don’t target the main body). Taking out all shields gives you a “Direct Kill”. 3. Phase 3: After killing everything else but the leader, Hero Jump towards him and take him out easily. |

It’s best if you can link every beneficial Terminal available to the Basilica. You start at the 2nd hex in the dungeon, if you find it hard to take down the enemies here, then you need more training.
4th hex features 1st Final Sub-boss: Garigliano 1. Boss has tons of HP, but otherwise is a weakling. 2. Kill off his minions first, they deal more damage, especially the Poison Blower. 3. Thereafter you can take him out using normal attacks or Hero Actions.
7th hex features 2nd Final Sub-boss: Antaurion 1. Same like Garigliano, take out the minions then focus on the boss.
At this point, it is advisable to use an Escape Hex to exit the dungeon and clean up the Arena and Neverland dungeon. If you go on to defeat the Final Boss, you will need to redo the entire Arena again, and you lose access to Neverland until you beat the two sub-bosses again in New Game+. See “Kings of Neverland” and “Stardust Hunters”
Final Boss: 1. Get rid of his minions, Venomous Fogs ASAP. Take out the Judge Assaults if you wish. 2. Boss is very prone to Chain Breaks, so charge up your HG and let loose. 3. The Boss will summon minions from time to time. Kill them off to replenish your Bezels. 4. If you’re around Level 145, this boss is easy. I’d say a minimum level of 110 is required to beat him. |

If you choose to start on same difficulty, you will retain all levels, items, money, and normal white hexes. Choosing Hard difficulty means starting from a clean slate, you retain nothing, only for those with a death wish. |

First you need to spend all your Bezels and enter Critical Mode. In this mode, all damage dealt to your characters will be Direct Damage instead of Scratch Damage. Position the unfortunate member of your party next to an exploding barrel when his health is low, then have another member of your party shoot that barrel to take him out. |

I'm not really sure how this works, but it is said that by filling up the Bestiary (i.e fighting as many types of enemies possible) will help achieve this faster. You should obtain it around Chapters 12-15. |

This trophy is missable! The Elderly Man is a target for the sidequest "Rebel Termination Order" in Chapter 16. This guy packs a punch but his lacking of body parts makes him rather easy to kill at this point, and infact he is a good target for levelling because you can escape from this battle after dealing as much as damage as you want without killing him. |

This trophy is missable! Neverland is an optional dungeon that is only accessible once you have beaten the game's two sub-bosses in Chapter 16 (see spoiler below) and use an Escape Hex to exit the dungeon before approaching the Final Boss. The two sub-bosses are Garigliano and Antourion, and the final dungeon is Basilica. Each sub-boss drops a Black Hex which cannot be gotten anywhere else. Without this black hex, you won't be able to clear the map and unlock Neverland, hence it is also tied to "Basel's Liberator" trophy. You may have noticed a black hex spot on Level 4 when you first started the game. Use a black hex on that spot to unlock an elevator down to a separated area in Level 11, and use the last black hex to unlcok the dungeon itself. The dungeon is very challenging and I highly recommend to use the Power-Leveling trick in the Arena and try to complete as many Arena battles as possible before you attempt it. A minimum level of 100 is recommended.
Note: If you don't finish Neverland and/or proceed to defeat the Final Boss and then overwrite your current save with a Clear Save, you will need to progress all the way to the same point in the Story again, because Colored Hexes do not carry over in New Game+. Normally, this is not a problem because you need to beat the Story twice anyway, but it is something you should know in case you skip this again in New Game+ and go on to start New Game++ (meaning you need a 3rd playthrough to get this trophy). |

This trophy is missable! By my count, there are a total of 65 Side missions in the game whereas Story Missions you complete naturally to progress the Story.
To check what sidequests are available, visit the Hunters' Guild in any city. You can only have 3 sidemissions active at anytime. One you accept a sidequest, you need to first meet with the client to learn more details then proceed to complete his request. Some missions, particularly Rebel Supression missions, you can go directly the target destination and finish the quest. Additional missions may appear after you have completed previous missions in the same chapter.
You need to finish every sidequest given in one Chapter before advancing to the next Chapter, otherwise you will "fail" that incomplete mission and miss out on this trophy and if you do miss out, you'll have to do every mission again on New Game+. |

This trophy is missable! There are 50 Ranks available in the Arena with each Rank featuring 10 Battles. Completing all 10 Battles of one Rank will net you a * in that Rank, so that's 500 Battles in total. The last 5 ranks won't unlock until you defeat the final two Sub-Bosses in Chapter 16 and use an escape hex to exit the final dungeon. So you need to finish the Arena AFTER killing these two, but BEFORE defeating the final boss.
Note: If you defeat the Final Boss anyway, it's okay, just start New Game+ on the same difficulty and you retain all your previous victories, but the ranks will again unlock according to story progression. If you chose Hard difficulty for New Game+, you have to start Arena all over. |
