• Estimated trophy difficulty: 4/10 (Platinum Difficulty Rating)
  • Offline trophies: 51 (42, 5, 3, 1)
  • Online trophies: 0
  • Approximate amount of time to Platinum: 10-15hrs (Estimated Time to Platinum)
  • Minimum number of playthroughs: 1*
  • Number of missable trophies: There are 18 trophies which are unmissable, see the note below.
  • Glitched trophies: Yes, 3 directly - Combo Specialist in a bad way and Speed Demon and Be gentle with her in a good way, and a bunch indirectly. See the Introduction for more info.
  • Does difficulty affect trophies?: No
  • Do trophies stack?: No
  • Do cheat codes disable trophies?: There are no cheats but there is an exploit you can use that doesn't disable any trophies, see the Road Map and Guide for details.

*The number of playthroughs required would ordinarily be 1 or even 2 but there is a confirmed and helpful glitch you can use to your advantage and obtain the time/limited death trophies, by effectively resetting the stats to zero whilst retaining your saved game progress. This will be mentioned in the Road Map itself.

**If you wish to utilise this helpful glitch and have a PS+ subscription then don't forget to turn off the auto-install feature, because this will ensure that you are not prevented from running the 1.00 version of this game. Also it has been confirmed that this glitch works with the disc version ONLY, the digital version of the game comes pre-patched and therefore renders the glitch redundant**

Technically the majority of trophies are missable, this is because there is no 'Free Roam' upon completion. As such, each trophy should be considered as missable unless is it specified that it is unmissable. Careful review of the Road Map will ensure you don't miss any.

Welcome to Prince of Persia, a 2008 reboot of the 1989 original game which has had a full overhaul for release on modern systems. Keeping to true to the elements that make Prince of Persia what it is, you are taken on a mystical journey of platforming combat as you embark on overcoming an evil which has taken over the land. As far as trophies go, there is plenty variation to keep it fresh and varied but nothing too strenuous to push the difficulty beyond the casual gamer. Unfortunately, the game has a few issues with glitches and I would urge you to plan your playthrough carefully to minimise the risks by first consulting the Game Glitches FAQ found HERE for more info.

Good luck with the Platinum and I hope you enjoy the Guide.

Step 1: Story Progression up to Final Boss

Before doing anything, you should know what the Patch 1.01 glitch is and how to use it. This will save a full or partial playthrough and virtually guarantee the restriction based trophies. All that's required is simply that you do not install patch 1.01 upon inserting the disc or firing up the game from the XMB until the last possible opportunity (i.e. before the last boss fight). Play the game on version 1.00 until you defeat the last sub boss and heal the last fertile ground. Once installed, the stats that track your playing time and how many times Elika saves you are reset to zero but your Light Seed collection and game progress are all retained!

Now, despite the fact most trophies are missable, most of the trophies will unlock by simply progressing through the story if you play with the trophy objectives in mind. To a certain degree you are free to choose whichever path you prefer to reach the final boss encounter however you please but note that there is no 'Free Roam' once the game is over so you need to ensure you obtain all trophies which are not related to game completion before you enter the Temple for the last time, see Final Healing for more info. In order to ensure you don't have too much farming/backtracking to do once you reach this point, try and obtain combat and collectible based trophies as you go but farm whatever is left. At the end of this step you should check your trophy list.

The following trophies should be the only ones remaining to unlock:

Explorer
Be gentle with her
Light Seeds Master
Precious Time
Speed Demon
From Darkness... Light!
To be continued...

and possibly Combo Specialist , more on this in Step 3.

Once your list matches the one above, teleport to the Temple but do not head to the entrance. This is where you will save and exit the game then restart and finally install Patch 1.01.

Step 2: Final Boss Fight/Game Completion

Provided the Combo Specialist trophy has unlocked for you, this will be your final action. The final boss fight is pretty easy and with the stats now reset on deaths and playing time, you can get away with messing up, just not on a ridiculous scale. Be careful after the boss fight to ensure you unlock the missable trophy Precious Time and simply play out the final scenes to obtain the remaining trophies. It should be noted that Speed Demon and Be gentle with her only pop after the credits have rolled so be patient for those ones.

Step 3: Combo Specialist

With a bit of luck and a good deal of careful planning and execution, you wont need this step but unfortunately there are a host of players who have reported problems with this trophy not unlocking. More detail on this can be found in the trophy description but if nothing works during your previous playthrough then you need to start a New Game and basically farm the combos on a single enemy. This is a last resort and should not be necessary but again, this is just to cover all eventualities.

Epilogue DLC:

Road Map

The epilogue has some slightly more difficult and longer platforming sections than the rest of the game. It's possible to do this in one play through. The Epilogue isn't so long that you can't get the speed run trophy. You can get the speed run, "Born Dead," and all the Frescos in one play through, but you'll be cutting it pretty close. I'll post both methods and you can choose whichever you want. I did it in two playthroughs. My second time through was to collect all of the Frescos and my final time was about 1 hour, 45 minutes (although, keep in mind that I knew exactly how to do everything and what to expect). Not collecting the Frescos my first time, was about 1 hour, 20 minutes.

The first method would be to try to get everything in one play through. If you want to try this, you'll have to save quite a bit for three different trophies. I'd recommend that you save after every long platforming section. The first of three is "Born Dead." There are seven soldiers in the Epilogue that you will have to kill before they spawn. If you don't get to the spawning soldier quick enough or fall on the way to the soldier, reload and try again. Most of them are pretty easy, but there are a couple of difficult soldiers to get to. The second trophy is "I Need a Hand or Twenty." This is the same as "Be Gentle With Her" from the main list, but you have 20 to work with instead of 100. The third is "No Time to Waste." Again, it's like "Speed Demon" from the main list. Save a lot for those three, follow the video posted in the guide for the Frescos, and the rest of the trophies will come by playing through the DLC.

The other method is to break it up into two playthroughs. The first play through, you can either go for the speed run/less than 20 deaths or go for the Frescos/soldiers. The Frescos and killing the soldiers are the part of the Epilogue that will take the most time, so combining them with the speed run could be more difficult. For both playthroughs, make sure that you save a lot for "I Need a Hand or Twenty" and "Born Dead."

61 trophies ( 49  11  )

  • Unlock all trophies.

This is awarded for unlocking every other trophy in the main game. Well done you!

  • Completing the Canyon.

    Story related and unmissable.

This will unlock shortly after you begin playing for the first time and will unlock upon your arrival at the Temple shortly after catching up with Elika.

  • Use the Compass.

After the Prologue in the Temple, you will regain control of your character and have the option to select your first destination. Hit to bring up your Map and set a marker with , now simply back out from the menu until you are back in control of your character and hit for the trophy. The glowing blue shard will show you the direction in which to head and is a very handy tool for times when you have lose your bearings.

  • First Healing.

    Story related and unmissable.

Every area has a sub-boss which you will encounter soon after entering. Defeat the boss in combat and after the cutscene, head to the centre of the dial on the fertile ground and hit to begin healing the land. You will need to button mash to complete the healing as prompted on screen.

  • Story related and unmissable.

This will unlock once you beat the final remaining sub-boss for the last time and complete the healing of the fertile ground. Once you have this trophy, now is the time to go back and do a clean-up as per Step 1 of the Road Map. Once everything is done, teleport to the Temple and save your game. Exit now to the XMB then reload the game and finally, install Patch 1.01 before proceeding.

  • Explore every part of every region.

    Story related and unmissable.

The very last region is not actually on your map so don't stress when it doesn't unlock after you heal the final fertile ground, it will unlock after you enter the Temple to face off with the final boss and will be the first trophy you unlock after installing Patch 1.01.

  • Block 50 attacks.

The combat mechanics in Prince of Persia are very straightforward. For this trophy, you are required to block 50 attacks by holding down when engaged with an enemy. You can farm this immediately upon encountering your first enemy but there's really no need as it will almost certainly come naturally during the course of natural story progression.

  • Deflect 20 attacks.

To deflect an attack, you must be quite close to an enemy and wait for the animation for their attack to begin then quickly hit at just the right time, thus causing you to parry the attack and leave them open to a combo. Quite often there will be a prompt quickly appear on screen to hit which helps when trying to anticipate attacks, again this can be farmed from the outset but should easily be obtained through natural progression.

  • Perform 14 hits in one combo.

This trophy can be a little bit tricky to master but will come with practice. To land a successful 14 hit combo, every hit must register (that means to connect and not be blocked) and the sequence not be interrupted by the enemy falling from a platform or being pushed against a wall and this includes even the final blow. It is best to attempt this on the Concubine on your first encounter with her in the Royal Palace and to attempt this when she has a full or near full health bar. Once the fight gets underway, position yourself so she is standing near enough to the middle of the arena. When she approaches, unleash your combo on her. Tip: I found that it helped me to learn this combo by doing the first four strikes to get the timing down then I kept adding the next button in the sequence and practising it. This of course requires a couple of restarts so you will need to quit out and load the game again to make sure you don't actually kill her but this is what worked best for me.

The button sequence is as follows: .

As a general rule I found that the button presses are roughly a second apart except for the two times you press , because the acrobatic attack that this launches is over in a flash so you need to press the button after it immediately.

It should go something like this, credit to PringlesForAidan:

Please note that this combo is NOT required for the Combo Specialist trophy.

  • Elika saves you fewer than 100 times in the whole game.

GLITCHED (but in a good way)

You never actually die in Prince of Persia. Every single time you fail a QTE event in a fight, fall from a ledge, wrongly judge a jump or do anything else stupid then Elika will save you. This trophy would be a nightmare if it were not for the glitch mentioned in the Road Map so simply put, do not worry about how many times she saves you. When you install Patch 1.01 before the final boss fight, the save count is reset to zero! You could still feasibly die 100 times during the final boss fight and still miss this this trophy but this should not happen really and even if in the event it did, just reload your save from before you entered the Temple and try again. Note that this will not unlock until the final credits have rolled (which can not be skipped).

If you would rather not use the glitch then saving and reloading is going to become a regular feature of your game. There are no counters to keep tabs on how many times Elika saves you so you will need to do it yourself, I would say keep a running tally written down each time you die and once you reach about 90 'deaths' to then operate a strict save/reload regime just to allow yourself 10 mistakes for carrying on accidentally. One last thing though is if you start a new game to get this trophy, make a separate save as if you overwrite a previous game save, the deaths will carry over. Confirmation of this would be much appreciated on both disc and digital versions.

  • Use the environment against an enemy.

For this trophy you must attack an enemy near a pillar so that you knock them back into it, you will know the attack has been successful as a little cutscene will show them crashing into it as it crumbles around them. Timing and positioning are key here and it should be noted that for some reason, enemies tend to block sword attacks way more than they do Elika attacks. Helpfully this will also push enemies further back than sword attacks do so use the combo when you feel the positioning is good. Note that this will not be on a regular enemy, it will be either the Hunter, Alchemist or Concubine and in one of the later fights as the first ones are all on plain ground. See the following video to get an idea of what you need to do. Credit to Rooster Teeth:

  • Win a wall mini-game in combat.

This one is easy and could well be your first trophy as you encounter your first enemy. When in combat in an enclosed environment, fighting near a wall will trigger a QTE where you will need to mash to come out the stronger man. There will be many opportunities to get this throughout the game so continue on if the first guy doesn't position himself properly for you.

  • Run from the Sun Temple's Fertile Ground to the Fertile Ground in Windmills in 5 minutes.

For this trophy I recommend that you teleport directly to the starting area (if you are already there, then teleport away and back again to start the timer). As soon as the loading screen clears and you are in control, get going. The following video shows the optimal route from point A to point B, just don't make too many mistakes and you'll be fine. • Run between the Fertile Grounds in the Construction Yards and Heaven's Stair in 6 minutes.

  • Dodge the Warrior's attacks 20 times in one battle.

You cannot hurt the Warrior with ordinary combat. You must evade his attacks and position him near the edge of the platform you are on, before you engage in a QTE which will result in his demise once you successfully perform the button mashing sequence. For the trophy, you must evade his attacks 20 times by simply holding in any direction and pressing while his attack animation is in sequence. The trophy will unlock upon performing your 20th successful evade but helpfully you do not need to keep a count of them yourself and finish him off before it unlocks.

  • Deflect the Hunter's attacks 5 times in one battle.

See the description for the Deflect Master trophy for a tutorial on how to deflect attacks and simply refrain from combat until the Hunter comes to you to attack, then deflect it with a perfectly timed . You do not have to win the fight to obtain the trophy, because it will unlock on completion of your 5th deflected attack.

Note that Combo Specialist should take precedence over this, see that trophy description for more info but remember that you need to unlock this in at least one of the six fights you will have with the Hunter. Priority should be given to this trophy instead if you are encountering this boss for the last time and still not not unlocked this trophy.

  • Defeat the Alchemist without using the acrobatic attack.

An acrobatic attack is performed by pressing so the idea is to defeat the Alchemist without pressing this button. Even pressing it as part of a combo will negate this trophy so stick to sword, Elika and grab attacks to defeat him.

Note that Combo Specialist should take precedence over this, see that trophy description for more info but remember that you need to unlock this in at least one of the six fights you will have with the Alchemist. Priority should be given to this trophy instead if you are encountering this boss for the last time and still not not unlocked this trophy.

  • Defeat the Concubine without using grab.

A grab attack is performed by pressing so the idea is to defeat the Concubine without pressing this button. Even pressing it as part of a combo will negate this trophy so stick to sword, Elika and acrobatic attacks to defeat him.

Note that Combo Specialist should take precedence over this, see that trophy description for more info but remember that you need to unlock this in at least one of the six fights you will have with the Concubine. Priority should be given to this trophy instead if you are encountering this boss for the last time and still not not unlocked this trophy.

  • Collect 1001 Light Seeds.

Light Seeds are the collectables of Prince of Persia and although they are tied to story progression, you only need 540 to complete the game. They are found scattered across all areas where the healing has been performed and are collected simply by running into them. You will notice that initially you have milestone targets to collect (60, 170, 340 and 540) and once those are reached, you can teleport to the Temple and activate a coloured Power Plate which will help you gain access to otherwise inaccessible areas throughout the game, which is an actual requirement to reach all of the light seeds.

It should be noted that there are only 1000 'collectible' Light Seeds which will be the amount you should have, before you enter the Temple for the final time as the last one is given to you during the final scenes of the game.

Please refer to the Light Seed Locations - Complete Walkthrough for a full detailed written walkthrough for every light seed, or if you prefer video guides, I strongly recommend the brilliant series of videos on YouTube courtesy of user Kondarivan by clicking HERE

    Caution:

On a final note, there are reports from around 2008/09 that people were experiencing a glitch where they were only able to obtain 998-999 Light Seeds (1000 to be precise as the last one you receive is post-game). It is unknown if this problem has since been fixed as information on it is hard to come by but there is additional information which seems to indicate the solution may lie in the City of Light owing to a strange glitch making one light seed count as two, see the Game Glitches FAQ for more info.

  • Kill 10 generic enemies before they spawn.

Each area has a single generic enemy that will always spawns in the same place and once you kill them, they will not reappear unless you teleport to a different area then return. These enemies are not stood waiting for you but begin to spawn on a platform in the form of a kind of black whirlpool when you get close enough to the platform it spawns on. You must quickly traverse the area and land near it and if you were fast enough, then you can approach the whirlpool of spawn and tap to kill it before it even appears. Repeat this 10 times for your trophy.

If you find yourself without this trophy by the time you reach the Temple near the end of the game, you can farm them anywhere but I recommend the Sun Temple in the Ruined Citadel for an easy path to the enemy, speed kill him then teleport back to the start of the area and repeat as necessary.

  • Throw 10 Soldiers of Ahriman into pits.

You need to encounter a generic enemy to fight but instead of rushing it, you should ensure you give it plenty of time to spawn. Once you have, make your way across and it should form. Note that it will not form until you actually land on the same area of ground it is spawning on. Your aim now is to lure it to a platform edge and manipulate your way around them either by winning a QTE mini-game or evading attacks. Once you have them in position, use Elika's attack which should be more than enough to initiate a very brief cinematic of your character kicking them off the ledge to their death. Repeat this x10 and again, farm any remaining kills before entering the Temple for the final boss fight.

  • Find the Assassin's view.

You must simply stand in a certain point and view the scenery for this trophy to pop. The required point is located in Martyr's Tower in the Ruined Citadel, refer to the following video to show you exactly where to stand. Credit to PringlesForAidan:

  • Find the Titanic View.

You must simply stand in a certain point and view the scenery for this trophy to pop. The required point is located in Machinery Ground in The Vale, refer to the following video to show you exactly where to stand. Credit to PringlesForAidan:

  • 500 coop jumps.

When you jump (press ), you can hit again in mid-air to receive a boost from Elika. This trophy is awarded for the accumulation of 500 of these which should all come with natural progression as they are frequently required but you can farm them if you reach the Temple near the end and it still has not unlocked.

  • Take one minute to think.

This trophy is missable so in order to ensure you don't miss it, see the info below but be warned that if you do so before you finish the last boss fight then you will ruin the ending.

When you defeat Ahriman, Elika will sacrifice herself to keep him imprisoned during the cutscene which follows the battle. When action resumes you will be stood holding her in your arms on the final fertile ground. All you have to do is remain still, set the controller down and wait for the trophy to pop.

  • Talk to Elika.

See Good Company for more info.

  • Get to know Elika by talking to her.

See Good Company for more info.

  • Learn about the world, and Elika's history.

Soon after you gain control of the main character at the start of the game after the first Temple sequence, you are able to talk to Elika by pressing which will initiate a brief conversation. Press it again to start another one, and another one and simply repeat this until all 3 speech related trophies are unlocked, which should take about 5 minutes.

  • Find the highest point in the world.

    Story related and unmissable.

You will unlock this trophy when you defeat the Alchemist for the sixth and final time in The Observatory, you don't need to go anywhere or do anything because it will pop once the cutscene has ended.

  • Find the lowest point in the world.

This is a nice, easy trophy that can be gained at pretty much any time. When outside the Temple and facing away from it, run to the bottom of the stairs and hang right then hug the wall and you will come to a small crevice so drop down into it and follow it until you hit a dead end. Your trophy will pop soon afterwards, here's a video showing exactly what to do. Credit to PringlesForAidan:

  • Finish the game in under 12 hours.

GLITCHED (but in a good way)

This is a trophy which would have made the platinum in a single playthrough impossible if not for the Patch 1.01 trick. As with Be gentle with her, pay any attention to the limits this trophy requirement puts on you because as soon as you install Patch 1.01 your game time is totally reset back to zero. As per the Road Map, complete the game at your leisure and install the patch as stated at the right time. You will then have another full 12 hours in which to kill the final boss (a mere 10 minute affair) and take care of the aftermath. Note that this will not unlock until the final credits have rolled (which you can not skip but they only last about 5 minutes).

If you choose not to utilise the glitch then you will not be able to complete the game in a single playthrough due to the time it takes to get all 1001 Light Seeds but you only need 600 to fight the final boss and beat the game. It is possible to not have to do an entirely new playthrough if you speedrun through the game, collecting only the required 600 Light Seeds, making a final game save, backing it up somewhere, beating the game, popping this trophy then reloading your backed up save. This way you can freely obtain the remaining 401 Light Seeds. 12 hours is ample time really if you do it this way, just keep moving and reload your last manual save if you die too much or take too long on a boss fight or whatever else but each area should take about 30-40mins so 8-9 hours is the baseline.

  • Find every combo in the game.

    GLITCHED

For this trophy, you must perform all 63 standard combos in the game. They don't have to be on the same enemy and you can do them in any order you like but there are widespread issues with people reporting that they have performed all the combos required and it has not unlocked for them. In order to maximise your chances of unlocking this trophy, ensure you follow a few golden rules as set out below:

    • Each hit must connect, If any part of the combo is blocked or deflected then you must re-do it.
    • Any combo which results in an enemy death, even with the final blow of a combo, will not register.
    • You must kill the enemy you have performed combos on for them to register to your total.
    • This trophy will unlock after you defeat the enemy you performed your last required combo on, it will not suddenly pop mid-fight.
    • Each combo must not be interrupted by scenery, that is to say that you enter into a mini-game because you were performing the combo too near a wall or the edge of a platform. This includes the final hit which may propel your enemy backwards and initiate the small cutscene of them almost falling.

Thanks to Xander45 for the tips.

Since there is no way of tracking the combos that are registered as being performed in-game, you will need to track them yourself. Below is a list of all of the combos so I recommend printing them out before attempting this trophy and tick them off as you go:

    Normal Combo Set:

    Elika Combo Set:

    Lift Combo Set:

    Acrobatic Combo Set:

    Throw Combo Set:

    Aerial Combo Set:

Now you're prepped and ready, don't waste your time on the general enemies. Instead, save the combos for the sub-bosses who can sustain a lot more damage, have large surface areas to perform combos on and in the early fights, hardly ever block or parry your attacks. Note that the Warrior boss can not be attacked by normal means of combat so you are looking to perform these on the Alchemist, the Hunter and the Concubine as these are the first fights in a series of six each that gradually get harder. You need to take advantage of the early encounters where enemy blocking and deflecting is almost non existent. In your very first boss battle, unload with as many combos as you can until the bosses health gauge is close to being depleted, pausing after every successful one to cross it off the list. Now you should let yourself get attacked and fail the QTE, this will restore some of the bosses health and allow you to get in some more combos. Gradually this effect will get weaker and replace less energy the more times it happens so when it is no longer worth doing, finish off the boss and remember that the killing blow, if it was part of a combo, will not count. Repeat this for your first encounter with the other 2 sub-bosses.

You should not have many left (if any) to do after 3 boss battles but if you have, perform the last few on your second encounter with any of the bosses to clean up and hopefully, if you've been careful to watch for what will not register and been methodical with crossing them off, your trophy should unlock.

If it does not, then what you should do next is continue on but in each boss fight you should concentrate on repeating the same set of combos from the list e.g. like Elika's attacks for example. Do just these and repeat them over and over, letting your mark regain health like in the early fights just to be triple sure before finishing them off and marking that little sub-group of combos off your list. When you encounter the next boss fight, do likewise but obviously with a different set of combos. There are six 'sets' as per the list above so hopefully at some point after the next six sub boss fights, your trophy should unlock (as mine did).

Should this step fail to unlock your trophy, you should forget about it for now as you will be running out of boss fights to perform the criteria for the 'Special Action' trophies and the bosses will be blocking much more now anyway. You should hopefully not be in this position but as a last resort, complete the rest of the game, ensuring you do the Patch 1.01 trick for the other trophies. Once that's all done, start up a brand new game and progress up to where you are outside of the temple with Elika. Head to the Sun Temple and defeat the Hunter and heal the fertile ground. Now head down to the generic enemy found in this area off to the right (you should remember where this is from your earlier playthrough) and allow time for it to fully spawn. Now perform each and every combo on this enemy. His health will degrade way faster than a boss but unlike bosses, when you fail a QTE with a generic enemy, their health replenishes in full every time. You may only be able to make 1, maybe 2 combos before you will need to stand still and get beaten up before you can resume your list. This method is tedious and with the relatively small platform you are on, some of the longer combos which also involve a throw will quite often trigger a QTE meaning it will not count and you will have to do it again. Upon landing the final blow of the last combo on the list, proceed to defeat the enemy and your trophy should pop.

Just for ease of use, below is a video of all combos being performed so you can see the animation sequences to double check you did it correctly. Credit to PringlesForAidan:

The final thing to mention is that people all over the internet have asked whether or not the 14 hit combo required for the Sword Master trophy is needed for Combo Specialist, I can confirm that it is not required because I have seen timestamps displaying this trophy earned before the 14 hit combo trophy.

The best of luck with this and please post here if you need any further help with it.

Secret trophies

  • Enter the Canyon.

    Story related and unmissable.

You will unlock this within 5 minutes of starting the game by chasing Elika through the Canyon, though it won't actually unlock until you reach the Temple so don't panic when it doesn't unlock there and then in the Canyon.

  • Unlock Elika's Saving Ability.

    Story related and unmissable.

During your first ascent of the Canyon, a short cutscene will play where you will fall seemingly to your death but Elika will save you and the trophy will follow soon afterwards.

  • Kill the Hunter in his Lair.

    Story related and unmissable.

You will encounter the Hunter for the final time in the Hunter's Lair area of the Ruined Citadel. Fighting him gets gradually harder each time you encounter him but there is still very little to worry about on your fifth and final encounter.

  • Kill the Warrior in his Fortress.

    Story related and unmissable.

You will encounter the Warrior for the final time in the Warrior's Fortress area of the City of Light. The Warrior is different to the other sub-bosses in that you cannot hurt him in direct combat, the aim is always to position him so you can either knock him into something or off the edge of a platform. The last fight has a slight twist on this but I wont spoil it for you, just know that your trophy will unlock when all is said and done.

  • Kill the Concubine in her Palace.

You will encounter the Concubine for the final time in the Palace Rooms area of the Royal Palace. Fighting her gets harder each time you encounter her but there is still very little to worry about on your fifth and final encounter. One thing to note is that after you defeat her, she splits into a group of decoys of Elika which keep disappearing if you attack them and will reappear opposite you. To end this infinite cycle, simply jump from the edge of the level into the abyss and the real Elika will save you.

  • Kill the Alchemist in his Observatory.

    Story related and unmissable.

You will encounter the Alchemist for the final time in The Observatory area of The Vale. Fighting him gets gradually harder each time you encounter him but there is still very little to worry about on your fifth and final encounter.

  • Reimprison Ahriman.

    Story related and unmissable.

This is the final boss fight and for being so, is a pretty easy confrontation. You should have installed Patch 1.01 just prior to this fight to ensure your trophies mentioned in Step 2 of the Road Map unlock without a hitch.

  • Story related and unmissable.

This trophy will unlock during the final sequences of the game so just watch the cinematics and take in the ending because it will come naturally.

DLC: Epilogue

10 trophies

  • Reach all Ormazd's Frescos in the Epilogue.

There are 10 Frescos that you have to reach in the Epilogue. The Frescos that you’re looking for are rectangular in shape. You just have to touch them or run across them for it to count as being “reached.” Dying immediately afterward without landing on another platform will also make the Fresco not count. A couple are a little tricky to get to, but here’s a video that shows all of the locations.

Details for reaching all the Frescos are in this thread put together by gaol: LINK

  • Reach one Ormazd's Fresco in the Epilogue.

Reaching any of the 10 will get you this trophy. See All the Frescos for a video will all the locations. The first one that you will probably reach is towards the beginning of the Epilogue. Elika stops and talks about her ancestors are buried here. As the camera pans around, there will be the first Fresco over an archway.

  • Kill all the soldiers of the Epilogue before they spawn.

This is the hardest trophy of the Epilogue, and possibly the entire game. Remember what you had to do to get the Speed Kill trophy. There are seven of these generic soldiers that you have to kill. The key to this is saving often. The platforming sections are longer than in the main game before you reach any of these soldiers.

Note: You won’t get this trophy until after complete the Epilogue, not after you kill the seventh soldier.

  • Complete the puzzle with rebound in the Epilogue.

This is a puzzle in a very large room where have to move platforms around in a specific sequence. The puzzle is pretty easy to work out and you can’t miss it if you play through and finish the Epilogue.

  • Complete the Epilogue.

Finish off the Epilogue. It’s pretty short and shouldn’t take you more than two hours.

  • Defeat any enemy of the Epilogue by only starting a combo with a Deflect and Counter-Attack.

The best place to get this is in the final fight with the King. When you start to push him towards the throne, this is the only time in this fight you can get this trophy. Once you’re at the point where you’re about to push him against the throne, deflect one of his attacks and then counter-attack. During the cutscene after the fight is finished, you’ll get this trophy.

  • In the Epilogue, defeat the Shapeshifter with only one shape change.

The Shapeshifter is the "new" enemy that you’ll be facing in the Epilogue. I put new in quotes because the Shapeshifter just changes between the Warrior and the Hunter. He starts as the Warrior and once you kill him, he changes into the Hunter. After he changes into the Hunter, you have to quickly finish him off before he changes back into the Warrior. Use the same attacks and strategies that you used against both in the main game.

Secret trophies

  • First use of Energize in the Epilogue.

Energize is the new power that you get in the epilogue. This will come automatically. You can’t miss this trophy playing through the Epilogue. There will be a cutscene that shows the new plate being activated, and you should get this very shortly after.

  • Elika saves you fewer than 20 times in the whole Epilogue.

This is just like Be Gentle With Her. Save a lot and reload when you fall, and you’ll have no problems getting this.

  • Complete the Epilogue in less than 2 hours.

This sounds difficult, but it really isn’t too difficult. I got this in under two hours even with going for all the Frescos and killing all the soldiers. If you don’t get it on the first playthrough, then just play through it again. You’ll know all the puzzles and you can avoid all the Frescos saving some time.
