Introduction
This game is a tactical first person shooter, similar to its predecessor. The player has the option of playing through the campaign co-operatively. However, the game does not feature competitive multiplayer. You can choose between four classes of Marines to play as: Rifleman, Grenadier, Scout and Automatic Rifleman. Each has their own weapons and abilities. Play will nett you experience during gameplay, which can be used to unlock guns, attachments and perks for later use. For example, a scout could acquire an enhancement that will reduce the amount of bullet drop you get. All enemies are capable of killing you with a single shot, though it does depend on where the you are shot. The single player campaign is divided into three distinct acts with a total of 10 chapters, about an hour each.
The Road Map/Trophy Guide is made for Solo play and not Coop.
Road To Platinum
If you have played Operation Flashpoint: Dragon Rising, then I've got some good news and bad news. The good news is: No Hardcore mode needing to complete in Red River. The bad news however: there is an annoying part of the game that requires you to get gold on all missions and FTE missions. 18 missions in total. There area few grinding trophies to do, but nothing as bad as Hardcore was.
Step One: What you want to do in the first step is Finishing the game. You need to get to know your way around the game a little bit. Get used to all the command and tactical stuff. On the way you will get half the trophies in the game including most or all of the Rules trophies.
Step Two: Next is getting Gold on all Campaign missions. Now that you know your way, you must finish each mission quickly and well. It is still unknown what's needed to earn a gold star; see the trophy guide for more information about this. During this step you will fully Level Up in a class. When that happens, change your class to a new one to level it up too. But keep this in mind; if you're having trouble with getting gold on these new classes, change back to the old one that your more comfortable with. Either way, you will have to grind at the end anyway.
Step Three: GRINDING TIME: Yeah I can see you smiling back there, everyone loves grinding. What's needed is to get all your classes up to Lv 20. If you have followed the steps so far, you should have made it to Lv 20 with at least one by now. The best known method so far is to repeat a FTE Combat Sweep mission. It will take around 3 hours to fully level up a class. See the trophy guide for more information.
Step Four: Now that your done with the Campaign, time to move on to FireTeam Engagement mode. What you need to do here is the same as in step 3 above, getting Gold in all missions. But this time we know what is needed to get Gold. Also you must finish a mission of each type along the way for the various trophies. See Trophy guide for more information.
Step Five: Only one thing left now: Online. This game doesn't have much to be done Online. All you need to do is get 3 people in your lobby and play a mission. Use the Boosting Thread to find Partners to help you out. Use the Trophy Boosting Thread to find players to help you.
[PS3T would like to thank duck360 for this Roadmap]
Complete a Fireteam Engagement mission to earn this trophy. Combat Sweep focuses on killing everyone in the area to win. Do that and you'll get the trophy.
Gold: To earn gold on Combat Sweep missions, you have to win quickly and be as efficient in killing your enemies as you can. Head shots give 200 points each which help. Also, there are 3 weapon caches that give 2,000 points each if you destroy them, but they are randomly scattered around the area so it depends on your luck if you find them or not. My advice, don't search for them. Also, enemy locations randomly change every time you retry, so this is luck too. Remember, the idea here is to finish fast. The faster you are, the more bonus you get at the end, and that's enough to give you a Gold.
To earn this trophy you must finish a Last Stand mission. To win, all you need to do is extract using the chopper. Also, by extracting at the beginning, you can earn the Rule #1 trophy without problems.
Gold: Getting Gold on Last Stand isn't hard at all. All you need is survive to 2:4. Making it that far isn't hard at all, so use whatever method you know works best. Mission two in Last Stand might be a little bit more difficult than the rest. Make 2 of your men defend one side and one on the other side by using the command Hold Position . Using Thermal Scope can let you snipe the enemies from distance that will help a lot. Also make sure to help whichever side that is taking more fire.
CSAR missions focuses on rescuing 2 Pilots. To earn the trophy you must complete a CSAR mission.
Gold: To get gold in CSAR missions you will need 2 things before you try: (1) Strong Weapon (Max a class) (2) A very high sprint level. As soon as the mission starts you go the pilots location, killing all the enemies on your way and enemies at the pilots location. When you find them, use Follow Me to make everyone follow you and now you must run as fast as you can to the EVAC point. Midway to the EVAC point, you will encounter enemies. DO NOT IGNORE THEM, kill them or they'll annoy you more then an annoying fly. When you killed them all use Smoke Motor to cover your back on your way to the EVAC point. When you're almost there, you'll find another group of enemies waiting for you at the EVAC point. Kill them. When the chopper lands the pilots will enter on their own. Before you enter look at your score. If that 'Team Score' is 10,000+ then you're good to go. If less, you must seek and destroy the downed Helo to earn extra points. Don't worry about enemies they are most likely dead while trying to get you. After destroying the downed helo + rescuing both pilots + having all the squad with you (If one dies they will be back a few mins later IF on normal difficulty) you will get Gold.
Rolling Thunder missions focuses on clearing a path for a convoy. Simply complete one Rolling Thunder mission to earn the trophy.
Gold: To earn gold in this you must make sure that every convoy survives, including all it's soldiers. Also, do not keep the convoy waiting for too long while you're clearing an area; each second takes away 10pts from each soldier (total 40pts). Here is a little trick I discovered that helps a lot. To prevent the convoy from taking away points while waiting, hold and keep taping to make them move very slowly. With this method you can search an area without any fear of losing much points.
Complete and survive a Combat Sweep mission having killed all enemies and destroyed all caches
In a Combat Sweep mission, you have to kill all enemies and also find and destroy all the weapon caches to earn the trophy. After killing everyone, just search every corner until you find the caches for the trophy.
Complete a Last Stand mission to stage 4, wave 4 and escape alive
So far this is the hardest trophy in the game. Each stage has got 4 waves, so you have to survive 16 waves in total AND escape using the chopper to earn the trophy.
Tactic: This is the hardest trophy in the game and my advice is making it your last one. Make sure you're fully levelled up and got most of the gold to make it easier.
Here is the something you should know:
2:2 Vehicles will arrive!
3:2 APCs will arrive!
3:4 Heavy Tanks will arrive!
4:2 Attack Helo will arrive!
Classes I recommend:
You: Rifleman. M16 with Thurmal Scope. Armor Perk.
All your Squad: Auto Rifleman. Mk48. Armor Perk.
Your men can do almost everything on their own EXCEPT defend against vehicles. What you want to do is use the command Hold Position right in front of the main area behind any cover. You will replace your 2nd weapon with ATAA weapons (Take AT if you see APCTank. Take AA if you see a transport helo attack helo) and then go to the roof of the front buildings and snipe from there. I prefer the middle one which have a AA cache next to it's stares. Things you must do:
Between waves: Order your squad to heal themselves.
Between waves: Go back and grab ammo from the ammo box and ATAA.
Keep an eye on transport helos that appears mid of a wave that spawn enemies from the sides. It can be easily destroyed even with an AT gun.
Enemies on the sides can kill your squad very fast!
Check your map by pressing as much as possible to see if there is red could on the sides and in the back.
Listen closely to what your team says. They say Vehicle: go destroy it/kill the soldiers in it. They say APC: you grab the AT and destroy it. Vehicles can kill your squad very very fast.
Heavy tanks are usually dumb and aren't strong, don't bother trying to destroy them because... I never was able to destroy one. Weird.
At wave 4:2:
Grab AT weapon.
Replace the AT with AA (Make sure when you do that the AT will be dropped where you replaced, this helps to quickly changing between AT and AA).
Keep the AA and search for the Attack Helo (Make sure the sensitivity is high to easily aim at the attack helo).
Attack helo are your main enemy. APC and helo at the same time? Destroy the helo first.
The building next to the Ammo crates is your last defend building. Use it when you need to. Make your squad defend it by using the command Defend Building while aiming the the building. In that building you can find both AT and AA weapons.
BIG NOTE: You must get to the chopper and escape on 5:1 and not 4:4!!!!
PS. The name of the trophy Get To The Chopper! is a famous quote from the Actor Arnold Schwarzenegger in the movie Predator.
Complete and survive a CSAR mission, rescuing both pilots
To earn this trophy you must complete a CSAR mission with both pilots alive.. in other words: Get Gold. See the trophy above Rescuer for a method on how to complete a mission having both pilots alive.
Complete and survive a Rolling Thunder mission with the entire convoy surviving
You must complete a Rolling Thunder mission with all the convoy, including it's soldiers, alive at the end. This can be easily done using the method I mention in the trophy above Protector.

Unfortunately there isn't a way to know how to get gold but from my experience here is what I did and what I recommend you do:
Kill as much as you can.
Do all objectives including optional objectives.
Stay alive. Try not to get shot as much as you can and also try to keep your squad alive too.
In Red River, you gain XP from almost everything (Killing, Objectives, Healing, etc...) to Level up. There are 4 classes in the game and each one has up to 20Lv. The XP calculation in this game is complicated, the higher your level the higher XP you gain. In other words: The amount of XP needed for 1 to 2 is the same needed for 19 to 20.
To get this trophy all you need is to reach Lv20 for only one class.
See the trophy Outlaw 2's Hero for more information.
Obtain the highest level for two character classes

To get this trophy all you need is to reach Lv20 for all classes. The fastest way I know so far is playing FTE mission Combat Sweep. You finish the mission in about 10min to get 2-2.5 levels in each try. It would take about 2 hours to reach level 20 for a class (6hrs in total). To get MAX XP:
The only online trophy in the game. To get it all you need to do is play with a full squad of 4 players. The 3 other players MUST BE FRIENDS to get the trophy. You cannot get it with random people. The trophy should unlock as soon as the game starts with 3 other Friends.
Destroy an enemy vehicle with the FGM-148 Anti Tank Weapon
The FGM-148 Anti Tankweapon also known as the Javalin is probably the strongest AT weapon in the world. You can find this weapon in both Mission 9 and 10. It's very easy to find. In both of these missions, you will get an optional objective to destroy a Helo. At that time, search the area you are in to find the Javalin and use it to destroy the helo and you'll get your trophy.
Destroy an enemy aircraft with an anti aircraft weapon
In mission 5 The Wrong Way right after you're done driving the HUMVEE to the FOB. In the right corner of the base, you will find some AT and AA weapons. Here is where you will get the trophy. You will receive an optional objective on destroying an incoming helo, pick up the STINGER AA weapon and use it to destroy the helo and you'll get the trophy.
Later in mission 5 The Wrong Way you will need to drive a HUMVEE to escape the PLA assault. When you get to the objective to drive it, do so and you'll get the trophy about half a min later.
Also you can drive a HUMVEE at the very beginning of Rolling Thunder missions.
Call in Combat Support within 300m of your location
This trophy can be done at anytime you receive a Combat Support over the radio. To use Combat Support hold and then press to open the Combat Support section. All you need to do is calling any support )excluding Smoke ones) right next to your position to get the trophy.
Auto Rifleman is the soldier with Light Machine Guns. To select this class: Enter CLASS SETUP, press or to change between classes. Select Auto Rifleman and complete a mission to get the Trophy.
Rifleman is the default class in the game. To select this class: Enter CLASS SETUP, press or to change between classes. Select Rifleman and complete a mission to get the Trophy.
Scout is the soldier with Sniper Rifles. To select this class: Enter CLASS SETUP, press or to change between classes. Select Scout and complete a mission to get the Trophy.
Grenadier is the soldier who is expert in explosive charges. To select this class: Enter CLASS SETUP, press or to change between classes. Select Grenadier and complete a mission to get the Trophy.
This can be done with the first group of enemies you encounter in the game. Kill everyone in the area and after that check body to body until you find the AK-47 weapon. Press to pick it up and you'll get the trophy.
The "People's Liberation Army" are China's military and they are your 2nd enemy in the game. You will fist encounter them in Mission 5 The Wrong Way. Kill one (Well you will kill more than a thousand later ) to get the trophy.
To earn this trophy you must complete any mission without getting shot. I recommend the first mission Welcome To Tajikistan because it's easy and short. For an easy way to get this trophy, play a FTE Last Stand mission and EVAC as soon as it starts to finish the mission. No shots even have to be fired.
NOTE: It's alright if your squad gets shot. It's only you that doesn't have to get shot.
In OF: Red River, bullets drop realistically when you fire. If you spot someone a km way from you and you aimed at him and fired, the bullet would not reach him. Like in the real world, it takes time for the bullet to reach it's target and while on the way the bullets drops. To earn this trophy you have got to kill someone very far away, (not sure how far). Using a Sniper Rifle is the best way to do this, and the best mission to do it on is mission 6 Careful what you wish for.... You'll be able to see a lot of enemies far way. Simply aim above them and fire.
When you get shot, you'll be wounded and sometimes bleeding. You must heal yourself to get this trophy. Throughout the game, whenever you get shot, hide and healyour self by holding .
To earn this trophy you must reload your weapon a lot. If the mag reaches zero, the player will reload on his own and that doesn't count for the trophy. You have to reload midway through your mag. Just keep reloading every time you kill someone by pressing .
This trophy can be done on your own, but in mission 5 The Wrong Way, you will get to fall back a lot and you'll get the trophy. To earn this trophy on your own, every time you get your ass kicked by close enemies, fall back to another defending position.
To suppress the enemy, you must keep firing on them. They'll either run, hide or die. This can be done with a squad order called Suppress, using the command . When you see a group of enemies, use the command to allow your squad to suppress the enemy every time until you get the trophy.
No matter how you play you will earn this trophy one way or another. You need to completely kill all the enemies in a building's area, checking each door and each floor. Not sure if you have to do it one time or more than that, but like I said, you'll get it no matter what.
