How to unlock There's only room for one Pirate King!

There are a total of two challenge scenarios, one of which is extremely easy and the other painfully hard. To save yourself time and more unwanted effort we suggest that you have a level 100 character, preferably Kuzan/Aokiji with Boa Hancock as the crew member which should be maxed out (level 10). These two are perfect for this as they can both freeze enemies on the spot (allowing you to deal damage to them while they are sitting ducks) but also since Kuzan/Aokiji is a Technical character he will also stun them right away if your close when you activate Style Action. Boa's attacks are quick but she likes to pose straight after which wastes time and breaks your combos but you can easily just press which will make her dash and then carry on the combo which will be essential.

The first challenge can easily be done with a level 50 character but we suggest having a level 100 as you will need one for the second challenge. The first challenge should pose no problem what so ever and you will fly by with your level 100 character.

The second challenge is a huge step up from the first as the enemies hit for a lot more even on level 100's, but we have a method which will lead to achieving this trophy as easily as possible although some may require a few tries. This guide/method is based on having a level 100 Aokiji/Kuzan and a maxed out level 10 Boa Hancock as the crew member. Before you start make sure you have these two very important skills unlocked and equipped, "High Tension" and "Stylish" these will raise your attack in Style action mode and increase the duration of it. Style action mode is key to this challenge. When you have this done start the challenge. To prevent us from repeating ourselves; never fool around and play it safe and always go into the next area with a full style action gauge.

This challenge has you facing Logia type enemies in pairs of two and a few lesser enemies. The first pair is Ace and Crocodile. As soon as you enter the gate head to the right which is where crocodile will appear, wait for him to do his little pose before you start attacking, if you attack before you will deal no damage. Okay once he’s done lock on to him with and land a full combo or two by using the combo. If you’re successful you would have dealt a bit of damage of at least a quarter of his health. If Crocodile is even close to breaking your combo or is about to hit you go into style action mode right away and pummel him with the combo since that will be your saving grace since he might just K.O you if he lands a few hits. If you haven't killed crocodile yet by the end of your first style action then make sure you keep running until it's full and watch out for his ranged and homing attacks since they do tons of damage. Whilst waiting for your style action bar as your running around be careful of Ace since a single combo could K.O as well but thankfully he has a surprisingly short range so you should be fine. Now when your style action is full finish off Crocodile as he should only take a few hits and with him gone you will also be able to activate a crew strike. Right after finishing off Crocodile go after Ace, keep landing the combos and just before your style action runs out activate your crew strike and you should easily finish him off with Boa. Before leaving make sure you pick up the health item which is dropped by ace and pick up the item in the chest that gives you full SP.

The next pair is Kizaru and Akainu which are the hardest since both have ranged attacks and Kizaru has a really annoying homing attack. Now these two can be killed very easily if you focus on Kizaru first. When entering their area Kizaru will be on the left and Akainu on the right. Run straight over to Kizaru and wait for him to finish posing, land one or two combos then activate a 2 bar special. Thankfully with Aokiji/Kuzan he can hit both Akainu and Kizaru. Now do your 2 bar special again, this should leave Kizaru with 50% health or less and he will go into style action, you should do yours right away to stun him and prevent him from running away allowing you to finish him off and if your able your can switch to Boa and take on Akainu. Now with Kizaru out of the way and Akainu slightly damaged just keep running around till your style action is full. Thankfully I know away to prevent Akainu going insane with some crazy attack which will lead to instant death. There are two lamp posts in that area if you circle around the area running in line with them, Akainu will only ever do one attack which you will never get hit by if you carry on running. If you get too close he will get you and if you are too far away he will make magma fall from the sky which is hard to predict or attempt to do his long range grab which all do massive damage. Now once you have style action gauge full finish him off and move onto the next area with a full style action gauge.

The next pair is Smoker and Aokiji/Kuzan and these two are by far the easiest. I finished these two off without getting hit. Okay when entering run up to Kuzan and wait for his pose, land one or two combos and go into style action and continue comboing which should be able to kill him, if not he should be near dead so wait for your action gauge to refill. With these two there is nothing to watch out for besides getting close. Smoke literally has no range whatsoever whilst Kuzan it’s not enough to reach you if you stay away. Okay now finish of Kuzan and if you haven't already and then lay the heat on Smoker and call in Boa for a crew strike and just like you did with Ace finish him. Remember to recharge your style action if needed.

The next pair is Enel/Eneru and Teach/Blackbeard and probably the second toughest pair. Depending on your life at this point it would be wise to be extra careful. Okay firstly you want to target Enel since his attacks hit harder and have a wider radius and he can home in on you. Some may disagree because Teach can pull you in and drag you but really they are too easy to dodge if you keep running away as Teach will never get you. So as always wait for his pose then land one or two combos and use style action and finish him off if you can, if not then by now you should be able to land at least a 1 bar special if not a 2 bar special to finish him off. Now for Teach, he is simple to beat as he never really runs around and stays in the center spot so keep circling him from a distance. When he goes underground run in a straight line to the furthest corner of the area if you run in circles at that point he may get you. Teach will also use a move which can pull you in again so just run directly away from it and you will never get caught by it. At this point Teach may have been hit by your special so he has taken very little damage but since you have just finished off Enel you can bring in Boa to do some if not all the work. Just remember not to let Boa pose to stop your combo and with that Teach should now be finished and if not when Kuzan comes back in he will freeze Teach and you should be able to finish him off. The trophy will pop when you get back into the Challenges main menu.

  • It's not that hard. I did it with lvl 48 kuma. Easiest way is to pick a character where you can easily "lock" opponent in when in style mode. ( Kuma triangle square x 3 worked fine for me). Whatever move you choose equip the skill that boosts that combo and offcourse stylish + hard tension , then spam that moves in style mode, after style mode runs out just run in circles till style bar is replenished and repeat ;)
  • -.- funny how I tried with the ppl he suggested and failed hard and failed with law as well (1 of 2 of my level 100 characters) yet last night I completed this challenge with nico robin (2 years ago) :P. Her Triangle, Square combo is OP with Style action coupled with Aerial++, Final Blow+, Stylish, and High Tension. its comepletely possible to kill both enemies in 1 style action under this but can be tricky to pull off if you miss the attack while they are in the air. on that note I used Mihawk ( lvl 10) as my crew. also while using this the attack combo I used make sure you are not slamming them completely outside the base because sometimes it wont do damage on the slams outside. oh and the only differences I did was taking akainu out first (Kizaru is so easy for me to dodge akainu isn't)
