Getting That Platinum

1. GET THROUGH ALL DIFFICULTIES IN STORY MODE
It may seem monotonous but this game is so awesome anyway, Who Cares?
Start with 'Warrior' and move your way up from there. Once you've completed 'Warrior' go to 'Chapter Challenge' Mode and select the last mission on 'Acolyte'. Complete it and you will have gained the 'Cleared the PATH OF THE ACOLYTE' trophy without the hassle of doing the Acolyte playthrough.

2. COMPLETE ALL MISSIONS TROPHY
Quite easy until you get around half way through of the Master Ninja Missions, and then there's the near impossible task of Ultimate Ninja. The absolute best way to do this is with a partner as the AI is crap prast Warrior difficulty. Heres the link to the Co-Op Thread: LINK.

3. MASTERED THE PATH OF..... TROPHIES.
I recommend doing this after the COMPLETE ALL MISSIONS TROPHY so you can cool off from the clearing the story mode trophies. For these trophies you have to gain a 'Master Ninja' ranking on all difficulties in the Chapter Challenge mode. See the guide for tips on each.

4. POLISHING UP
Whether it be kills with 'person' or kills with 'weapon' so you end up with that coveted Platinum Trophy. For both 'weapon' and 'person' kills, I'd say its best done on 'Team Mission Mode' on some of the Acolyte difficulties since the enemies roll in thick and fast, yet they can be dealt with quickly.

Also do it in single player mode so you can get stuck in to kill as many opponents as possible without some online freak stealing all of kills!

Learned the Reverse Wind.

Successfully perform the Reverse Wind technique.

Pick up the Scroll of Reverse Wind from a chest in Chapter 1 and successfully perform the technique to unlock the trophy.

Location: Once you pass the wallrun area continue straight ahead to find the chest.

Learned the Furious Wind.

Successfully perform the Furious Wind technique.

Pick up the Scroll of Furious Wind from a dead body in Chapter 1 and successfully perform the technique to unlock the trophy.

Location: After you unlock Muramasa's shop, proceed down the well; once you drop down, the body is directly in front of you.

Learned the Shadowless Footsteps.

Successfully perform the Shadowless Footsteps technique.

Pick up the Scroll of Shadowless Footsteps from a chest in Chapter 1 and successfully perform the technique to unlock the trophy

Location: The chest is in a drop where you're supposed to do the wall run after the first save point.

Learned the Flying Swallow.

Successfully perform the Flying Swallow technique.

Pick up the Scroll of Flying Swallow from a dead body in Chapter 1 and successfully perform the technique to unlock the trophy.

Location: After reaching the third save point, proceed up the ladder, turn left and you will find the body.

*NOTE - HAS TO BE DONE WITH THE DRAGON SWORD*

Learned the Flying Bird Flip.

Successfully perform the Flying Bird Flip technique.

Pick up the Scroll of Flying Bird Flip from a dead body in Chapter 1 and successfully perform the technique to unlock the trophy.

Location: Almost immediately after finding the Obliteration technique and just before the second save point, there's a dead body holding a bit of paper (i.e. the scroll), examine the body to obtain the scroll.

Learned the Obliteration Technique.

Pick up the Scroll of Obliteration technique from a dead body in Chapter 1 and successfully perform the technique to unlock the trophy

Location: After swinging round on a pole to get to another platform the body (has a katana sticking out of it) is directly in front of you, its impossible not to see it.

*NOTE - CAN ONLY BE DONE WHEN THE ENEMY HAS LOST A LIMB*

Learned the Ultimate Technique.

Successfully perform the Ultimate Technique.

Pick up the Scroll of Ultimate technique from a dead body in Chapter 1 and successfully perform the technique to unlock the trophy.

Location: After you've killed the buddha (1st time) go down the set of stairs and you'll find the body.

Learned the Ultimate Guidance.

Successfully perform the Ultimate Guidance technique

Pick up the Scroll of Ultimate Guidance technique from a dead body in Chapter 1 and successfully perform the technique to unlock the trophy.

Location: After getting the ultimate technique scroll cross the bridge and go into the house, the body is laying in the doorway holding the scroll.

Learned to the Counter Attack.

Successfully perform the Counter Attack technique.

Pick up the Scroll of Counter Attack from a dead body in Chapter 2 and successfully perform the technique to unlock the trophy.

Location: After you have completed the bridge fight, continue on the correct path, you'll find yourself next to the first save point of the chapter, the body is next to it.

Learned the Unrivaled Soaring.

Successfully perform the Unrivaled Soaring technique.

Pick up the Scroll of Unrivaled Soaring from a corpse in Chapter 3 and successfully perform the technique to unlock the trophy.

Location: You have to swing from bar to bar to reach an area where archers shoot at you from. A jump won't reach. In that room is the corpse.

Learned the Invisible Path.

Successfully perform the Invisible Path technique.

Pick up the Scroll of Invisible Path from a corpse in Chapter 3 and successfully perform the technique to unlock the trophy.

Location: After you're attacked by Ninjas and Sword Wielding Dogs. You should come to some stair-like ledges leading up to a corpse.

Learned the Izuna Drop.

Successfully perform the Izuna Drop technique.

Pick up the Scroll of Izuna Drop from a dead body in Chapter 2 and successfully perform the technique to unlock the trophy.

Location: Once you get the Falcon's Talons, and then fight off a wave of enemies, a door will open to reveal the body.

Learned the Guillotine Throw.

Successfully perform the Guillotine Throw technique.

Pick up the Scroll of Guillotine Throw from a dead body in Chapter 2 and successfully perform the technique to unlock the trophy.

Location: After reaching the second save point, deal with the first wave of enemies. Go up the stairs, past some archers and the body should be in front of you.

Learned the Art of the Inferno.

Successfully perform the Art of the Inferno Ninpo.

Pick up the Art of the Inferno Ninpo from a chest in Chapter 1 and simply cast the Ninpo to unlock the trophy.

Location: After you gain your first herb of spiritual life, proceed up the set of stairs to a platform.

Learned the Art of the Wind Blades.

Successfully perform the Art of the Wind Blades Ninpo.

Pick up the Art of the Wind Blades Ninpo from a chest in Chapter 4 and simply cast the Ninpo to unlock the trophy.

Location: Right after you begin, you will fall down a hole onto some railway tracks. The chest is between two trains.

Learned the Art of the Flame Phoenix.

Successfully perform the Art of the Flame Phoenix Ninpo.

Pick up the Art of the Flame Phoenix Ninpo from a chest in Chapter 3 and simply cast the Ninpo to unlock the trophy.

Location: After some Sword Wielding Dogs attack, in an area with two taxi cabs.

Learned the Art of the Piercing Void.

Successfully perform the Art of the Piercing Void Ninpo.

Pick up the Art of the Piercing Void Ninpo from a chest in Chapter 6 and simply cast the Ninpo to unlock the trophy.

Location: You'll come to doorway over a gondola. The chest is inside at the top of the stairs.

Feat of a Hundred Slashes

Achieve a 100-hit combo with any weapon.

I did this on Rachel's Story Mode Mission; when you encounter your first lot of enemies simply rapid fire her MG until you reach 100 Hits.

Feat of a Thousand Obliterations

Defeat 1000 enemies using Obliteration Techniques.

Grind enemies with Obliteration techniques until you get the trophy.

It can be done during the Story Mode, Chapter Challenge and Team Missions with any character.

Feat of Ultimate Destruction

Defeat 1000 enemies using Ultimate Techniques.

Grind enemies with Ultimate techniques until you get the trophy.

It can be done during the Story Mode, Chapter Challenge and Team Missions with any character.

Izuna Drop Master

Successfully use the Izuna Drop on 1000 enemies.

Grind enemies with the Izuna Drop until you get the trophy.

It can be done during the Story Mode, Chapter Challenge and Team Missions with Ryu only.

Guillotine Throw Master

Successfully use the Guillotine Throw on 1000 enemies.

Grind enemies with the Guillotine Throw until you get the trophy.

It can be done during the Story Mode, Chapter Challenge and Team Missions with Ryu only.

*NOTE - THIS CAN BE PERFORMED WITH ALL CHARACTERS*

Dragon Sword Master

Defeat 1000 enemies with the Dragon Sword.

Grind enemies with the Dragon Sword/True Dragon Sword until you get the trophy. It can be done during the Story Mode, Chapter Challenge and Team Missions with Ryu only.

Lunar Staff Master

Defeat 1000 enemies with the Lunar Staff.

Grind enemies with the Lunar Staff until you get the trophy.

It can be done during the Story Mode, Chapter Challenge and Team Missions with Ryu only.

Falcon's Talons Master

Defeat 1000 enemies with the Falcon's Talons.

Grind enemies with the Falcon's Talons until you get the trophy.

It can be done during the Story Mode, Chapter Challenge and Team Missions with Ryu only.

Dual Katana

Defeat 1000 enemies with the Dual Katana.

Grind enemies with the Dragon's Claw and Tiger's Fang until you get the trophy. It can be done during the Story Mode, Chapter Challenge and Team Missions with Ryu only.

*NOTE - THIS INCLUDES BOTH BLADE OF THE ARCHFIED AND DRAGON'S CLAW & TIGER'S FANG*

Kusari-gama master

Defeat 1000 enemies with the Kusari-gama.

Grind enemies with the Kusari-Gama until you get the trophy.

It can be done during the Story Mode, Chapter Challenge and Team Missions with Ryu only.

Eclipse Scythe Master

Defeat 1000 enemies with the Eclipse Scythe.

Grind enemies with the Eclipse Scythe until you get the trophy.

It can be done during the Story Mode, Chapter Challenge and Team Missions with Ryu only.

*NOTE - UT WITH THE SCYTHE DO NOT COUNT TOWARDS THE TROPHY*

Tonfa Master

Defeat 1000 enemies with the Tonfa.

Grind enemies with the Tonfa until you get the trophy.

It can be done during the Story Mode, Chapter Challenge and Team Missions with Ryu only.

Vigoorian Flail Master

Defeat 1000 enemies with the Vigoorian Flail.

Grind enemies with the Vigoorian Flail until you get the trophy.

It can be done during the Story Mode, Chapter Challenge and Team Missions with Ryu only.

Enma's Fang Master

Defeat 1000 enemies with the Enma's Fang.

Grind enemies with Enma's Fang until you get the trophy.

It can be done during the Story Mode, Chapter Challenge and Team Missions with Ryu only.

Ultimate Ninpo Master

Chant 100 Ultimate Ninpo spells.

Ultimate Ninpo can only be performed in Team Missions. Both players have to simultaneously cast their ninpo for it to happen.

There will be an in-game animation to show off its awesomeness too!

Rescued 100 ninja.

Rescue 100 people in need.

Again this can only be done in Team Missions. When your partner dies you have to revive them. Simply do this 100 times.

All missions successfully completed.

Successfully complete all missions.

As you all know this is quite a beasty trophy to get, but here are some tips:

1. Block, Block, Block: Even if the enemy is nowhere in your sights, doesnt mean they aint comin' for ya.

2. FRIENDS: Get a good co-op partner (There are many people willing to help out here: http://www.ps3trophies.org/forum/nin...tner-here.html), sometimes they can be the difference between life and death....

3. Be Cool Man: Don't stress yourself out, trust me its not worth the trouble, take regular breaks for food and drink; that always helps me

These tips are quite generic but they work:

1. Use weapons that you are comfortable with: Even though a lot of the time these challenges require speed, theres no point in using a speedy weapon that you are crap with.

2. Karma: These challenges also require completion with high amounts of karma; karma can be built up quickly with ultimate techniques for the 'Instant Kill' and 'UT' bonuses.

3. SPEED: As mentioned earlier time is of the essence and you need to complete the chapters in a fast time, so if you can help it - dont go into Muramasa's, dont take unfamiliar routes and deal with enemies quickly and effeciently ie. dont use flashy combos.
