On the ps2 you had a list of the ones you missed after you beat the game. Replaying the game to get them wasnt bad either since the game is super short skipping cut scenes. | |

I would add this right on. Trophies should be fun and follow the game flow. It is fun to halt enemies and steal from them, but having to do so on each difficulty on each soldier... its just too much. | |

Beating the bosses (Vamp specially) on Hard is challenging. Beating the bosses on Extreme (Vamp and Ray army) is pure hell. The Ray army needs patience and repetition while concentrating, Vamp fight is one of the thing that makes me think Hideo is an asshole. The camera makes the fight awful. I've collected all tags but still need to pass the final Ray fight and Final boss (which is easier). Why the hell didn't they made the trophy so that it popped once you get the necessary. | |

I went thru the ray fight without being hit a single time (after several tries) and then Solidus was a pain until I realized the pattern, being shot with missiles was the worst part before but then it became my best ally as you can flip toward him and slash him 3 times. The second part was the easiest part just by blocking 3 times then countering 2 times, then hit him another 2 times so he blocks and counters with a kick, block that kick and hit him 2 times, repeat, repeat and win (I think it might count as a glitch, if you hit him 3 times he'll fall, if you hit him 2 he won't and then block and kick) | |

Not because I was afraid of the difficulty, I just couldn't finish Hard because of the CO2 sequence with Solidus where you have to spam triangle. I just got killed - no matter how hard I tried -, my fingers weren't fast enough x___x And today, I finally finished hard :D 10 years later, thanks to a boosting controller. Yay, now I can finally collect tags on Extreme. | |

I got over 180 dog tags (VE/E/N/H) by now, and the only hard thing for me is to beat Vamp and those Metal Gears, but that's just the game difficulty. It's not about this trophy :) Getting those dog tags just require some patience, but it's fun to do. | |

| Comment #42 by victor1500 Sunday, December 23, 2012 @ 11:44:22 PM damn plant chap on extreme specially the last battles are a "###$ pain if you dont manage some rations from the tengu battle till solidus...maybe the biggest pain of these ones are the countless soldiers and the rays... solidus is prety easy heres a tip that will 100% of the time get you to solidus phase 2 without taking SINGLE damage: its like the vamp trick but hang over the edge at raidens left at the start of the battle not another one cuz missiles will get to ya(ive tried) (its absolutely recommended that you have the orange wig) in the edge i mentioned no harm will get to ya from missiles and solidus will always aproach to do a "charged downward slash?"(he cant use the tentacles either) so when hes charging go up and attack him and then return to the edge, its the easiest way to | |

I will sell you some tips hot to handle Plant exteme mode: - first try to get stealth and brown wig, it will make extreme easier - Fortune: use any Box u have and run from left to right at the bottom of the area, u won't get hit. - Fatman: after battle starts, dispose 2 bombs, use brown wig + socom and start running after Fatman with L1 pressed + shooting. It will auto aim him and when he get few hits, will drop on floor revaling his head. Shoot head, avoid attack, repeat. Remember to use tactical reload during fight (R2). - Harrie | |

Right after battle starts, catch Stinger, equip, and sell 3 missiles to Harrier. I positioned myself at the top of the stairs. When he will disapear in the sky, just wait for missile lock, and shoot and jump dont the stairs. If he will strike from stairs side, try too lock him from bottom floor and after u launch missile hide behind block on the bottom floor, it will let u avoid Harrier's missile. Now 2 deadliest attacks: missile strike - when u notice, that Harrier approaches the bridge, camera is going to change, go to upper floor, and stand in the right bottom corner. Don't stand in one place. - Metal Gear Ray: When u are far from them, they will send u missiles, come closer to make them use cannon attack. The tip is to hit their leg, and then hit opened head. They need 3 x attack to opened head and 1 to closed head, remember that. When 1 of them will jump to your platform, u will have to use somersault jump to avoid homing missiles, and to avoid cannon attacks. Don't come close because u will die from ray attack. Battle should be finished after about 12-15 mins. - Solidus: hes not so hard as he looks like. Equip katana in red mode + body armor. I didn't have time to play with him jumping down and up the ledge so I decided to do this fight like a man ;) if u get low hp, try to run away from him and crouch to restrore your hp to green level: Part 1: fight with tentacles - use close combat, start slashing SOlidus 3 times then block, he will counter, so after u block his attack counter with 3 slashes. Best practice to avoid missiles is to jump toward him and attack immediately after landing. Using this tac u should reach 2nd phase. U should block this attack. If u will stand next to him, he will charge 3 times again (u dont want him to do that). Instead of this, run away few yards after u punch him down, position yourself face to him and block. This tactic works on every difficulty level. 1) Shoot the 4 lights 2) Run to the door in the top right corner 3) Equip claymores + brown wig 4) Lay down and face south 5) Lay a claymore when Vamp approaches He won't throw any knives. I haven't tried lying down in the corner, but if you shoot out the lights he won't throw those really annoying knives at you so you can stinger missile the water for big stamina drops and then punch him out really fast. I don't know how well that works on Extreme, but it's REALLY fast on the other difficulties- Vamp becomes the easiest fight by far. | |
