| Comment #3 by Totavier Saturday, May 12, 2012 @ 09:32:00 PM @1: looks like a yes i mean Max Payne and the Red Dead series are the only games that use this feature (and both belongs to Rockstar) | |
| Comment #4 by Cornagandarub Sunday, May 13, 2012 @ 06:02:36 PM @3 Really. Max Payne and Red Dead are the only games to ever use bullet time. Really. | |
| Comment #5 by Execta Monday, May 14, 2012 @ 12:49:23 PM They may have registered the Bullet Time term but Rockstar owns shit what comes to the whole concept of Bullet Time or just simply "player controlled slow-motion". Go play the FEAR series. | |
| Comment #6 by ironmace Tuesday, May 15, 2012 @ 08:19:34 AM I seem to remember Vanquish doing the slo-mo but as well | |
| Comment #7 by Cornagandarub Tuesday, May 15, 2012 @ 02:47:26 PM @6 You could come up with tons of games that use slow motion, Rockstar may own the trademark but saying they're the only developer that uses that effect is stupid. | |
| Comment #8 by brickarts295 Tuesday, May 15, 2012 @ 07:20:17 PM I saw that the trademark was own by WB | |
| Comment #9 by fazer Wednesday, May 16, 2012 @ 01:41:04 AM hey noobs ever heard of stranglehold? that game took "bullet time" 2 a whole new level lol in 05 | |
| Comment #10 by Tripandoo Wednesday, May 16, 2012 @ 12:41:33 PM @8 : yes, Bullet Time is trademarked by Warner Bros from the Matrix series... | |
| Comment #11 by McP Wednesday, May 16, 2012 @ 04:55:32 PM So yeah. This trophy. | |
| Comment #12 by prodigal son Wednesday, May 16, 2012 @ 10:47:31 PM Once the game boots up it shows that Bullet Time is a trademark of Warner Bros. | |
| Comment #13 by mysticmosh Saturday, May 19, 2012 @ 04:05:25 AM bullet time has been the staple of Max Payne since day one. It was registered as a trade mark back on ps2 and the 1st game for max payne. Warner are the distribution company so as with the Matrix, will own the trademark. Are Rockstar a Warner subsiduary company?. That might explain this discussion. Any way, I got 10 BT kills in a row and no trophy. Does it have to be all at once or just 10 in a row as they come?. | |
| Comment #14 by chenardizzle Saturday, May 19, 2012 @ 01:58:02 PM I think it has to be all in one bullet time sequence. I haven't got this yet, but only because I haven't found an area where I have full meter and 10+ enemies. | |
| Comment #15 by Universalshot Tuesday, May 22, 2012 @ 06:26:48 AM Perfect place for this is. Chapter 10 Checkpoint 11, whilst on the bus kill the first four enemies then as the bus is pulling around the fuel pumps there are 10 enemies there. Just do it all in one charge. | |
| Comment #16 by Sjay1994 Wednesday, May 23, 2012 @ 12:53:49 AM In the game, they actually have to credit WB for bullet time, since it was first seen and trade marked in the matrix | |
| Comment #17 by BjarneBiceps Friday, May 25, 2012 @ 04:45:35 AM registered trademarks, only counts as a trademark in a specific branch of anything. so if rockstar owns it when releasing video games. and warner owns it in films, that explains it. anyway. bullet time? how come either warner or rockstar has it? because I remember a long time ago on fora around the globe that counterstrike didnt have bullet time, in it's programming calculations. so even back then the word was used and known. | |
| Comment #18 by BjarneBiceps Friday, May 25, 2012 @ 05:34:06 AM chapter 5. check point 11, 12, 13. right before you go under the scaffolding along with the other boats. just wait a split second to start and go into BT mode. in this way you can shoot the 5 guys on the first boat. the one on the first speedboat as well as the 4-5 others on the last one. and it pops. | |
| Comment #19 by dDan Thursday, June 14, 2012 @ 05:13:13 AM Earlier Max Paynes used Bullet time too and those games are not from Rockstar. | |
| Comment #20 by randyfitz Monday, June 18, 2012 @ 06:01:53 PM To everyone discussing this BS still: Bullet Time is a trademark of Warner Brothers. Warner Brothers and Rockstar and unaffiliated--Rockstar is using the term under license, presumably to avoid bitching from fans. The first two max payne games used the term bullet time, as have several other things, but the term wasn't officially filed for trademark until 2003, and wasn't officially registered until 2007. http://tarr.uspto.gov/servlet/tarr?regser=serial&entry=78285661 Took me 3 minutes to find. | |
| Comment #21 by The Holydiver Saturday, June 30, 2012 @ 05:34:11 AM Go to chapter 10 checkpoint 11. Should be easy. Use easy mode, hard lock. That way u wont waste time aiming. Shoot the grenade and wait while the meter fills as the enemy shoot at u. Then pop up and enter bullettime.. As u shoot enemies they will pour bullets at u, so the meter should fill up automaticly, that way u have a long bullettime. In easy mode the bullettime last longer and u dont take that much damage. Pop the trophy sais... | |
| Comment #22 by The Holydiver Saturday, June 30, 2012 @ 05:35:57 AM By the way, this aint a trademark forum. Dont care, use another forum for that discussion. This is a trophy forum. | |
| Comment #23 by Cooltedan Friday, July 13, 2012 @ 03:42:56 AM Finally!! I tried a least 1 hour to get this annoying bronzetrophy, but now i have it :D | |
