Trophy Breakdown: 36 , 7 , 3 , 1

LittleBigPlanet 2 is the eagerly awaited sequel by Media Molecule. From the get go you dive right back into the world of LittleBigPlanet. Those of you who played the original have the option to load your player profile which gives you all your old costumes and levels you built. Because of the incredible versatility that this game has, you're able to play all original community levels (some 3.5 million!). The trophy list shouldn't create too many problems for people but it requires more effort than the original. Note that some trophies are listed as offline (such as Prize Collector and Uber Prize Collector) because although a lot easier online, if you own 4 controllers it's possible to do it offline.

Roadmap:

The game is very heavily online orientated with its trophy structure so a decent internet connection is a must. You don't need an Eye Toy or the PlayStation Move in order to earn platinum. At the very least you'll need 2 controllers, however some trophies can be obtained offline if you have 4 controllers which saves finding boosting partners. The 5 difficulty rating comes mostly from the trophy requiring you to ace all levels. The approximate time to platinum is high because you'll need to spend 24 hours alone in create mode, although if you use the turbo controller trick, the active time you'd be playing the game will be around the 20-30 hour mark. It is possible to complete all story related trophies in one playthrough, however collecting all bubbles will require up to 4 people, and if you are going for ace, for no one to die on each level. It is therefore advisable to just enjoy the story once, then when you know the level layout, going for ace. Finally hook up online with players to knock out the prize bubbles. Throughout the guide where you see words in blue you'll find links to various other pages, the boosting page, prize bubble guide etc. The trophies can be broken down into the 4 steps detailed below:

Pre-step:

Due to patch 1.20, Teacher's Pet has been disabled unless you own DLC as well. Please refer to this trophy and complete it before starting anything else to save yourself a lot of hassle later

Step One (The Story):

  • To begin with you'll want to play through the story from start to finish. Doing this will earn you the 6 story related trophies detailed in the story mode section.
  • While playing through you will without fail kill 20 monsters for Monster Masher. Unless you are ignoring all prize bubbles you're likely to also pick up the trophy for collecting 50% of them (Prize Collector).
  • When you reach the level Gripple Grapple take the time to kill yourself 20 times at the start of the level for Mortal Coil Shuffler Extraordinaire.
  • After finishing the story you'll want to work on completing every level without dying for Ace Story Mode. After doing this for every level you'll have a good idea which 10 levels you wish to do for Aces in Spades. Be sure to check the guide for a way to make your life easier with this trophy.

Step Two (Online - Story and Level Creation):

  • Leading on from the story you'll want to do the 2 online story related trophies. These involve you getting into the top 50% and 25% of the online scoreboard for a story level. This doesn't require another player but you'll need to be online for it to count.
  • Following this you'll want to move on to the online create trophies. Publishing your first level and making it a versus map as well as giving it a custom picture will unlock Step into my Arena, Community Spirit and Custom Badger respectively.
  • After this create another level and put a level link in it. Link to the level you just published and then publish it to unlock A Series of Tubes.
  • At this point you'll want to get your level on the level 4 level boosting thread for 50 Unique Players.
  • Now you need to wait a week for Long Term Publisher.

Step Three (Online - Multiplayer):

Moving on from this we'll work on the community related online trophies.

  • You're going to need a boosting partner for 25 Online Versus Wins.
  • Finally you can start to enjoy yourself. You're going to need to spend 5 active hours playing levels for U Know U A Playa.
  • You need to complete (that is get to the scoreboard) on 75 levels in order to get Play 25 Community Levels and Play 75 Community Levels.
  • Each time you play a level, remember to give it a rating (Yay or Boo) to go towards the 160 needed for 40 Yays or Boos and 160 Yays or Boos .
  • After doing the 75 levels fully, search for the most recently published levels that have less than 10 plays. Join them and give a rating (you don't have to finish the level). This is needed for The Votarator 5 and The Votarator 50 as well as going towards the 160 needed altogether.
  • Don't forget that on the way to the 160 ratings you'll want to Dive In 25 times with random people.

Step Four (Mop Up):

Finally it's time to mop up the remaining trophies, of which there are a fair few.

  • You're going to want to go back to the create mode to work towards 24 hours of active create time for 1440 Minutes of Create. Having a turbo controller will make your life much easier.
  • There are 3 trophies related to time and date. Through simply altering your PS3's clock in the XMB you'll unlock Who Needs Breakfast?, Just... One... More... Go... and A Game A Day Keeps The Doctor Away.
  • You'll then want to pick up any trophies you've not achieved thus far working on the others. For example I'm positive you'll have changed outfit, but if not do that for Snappy Dresser.
  • You'll also have a number of easy trophies to finish up such as writing a review for a community level for Journalistical and uploading a photo for Paparazzo.
  • If you've got 2 controllers you can also get together with another person who has two to knock out the double slap for Turbo Slapper and the 4x grapple chain for Grapple Hooked. Of course if you already have 4 controllers you can do this yourself. For a boosting partner head over to this thread.

**Move Pack DLC**

Overview:
+ Estimated Trophy Difficulty: 4/10
+ Trophy Breakdown: 9 - 2 - 0
+ Online/Offline: 2 Online trophies, "Accomplished Mover" and "Feel the Earth Move". The rest can all be done offline but you would need to have at least 1 move controller and 2 normal controllers (DS3/Sixaxis).
+ Approximate Time To 100%: 3 hours+
+ Minimum Number Of Playthroughs Needed: 1 (will likely be at least 2 though)
+ Missable Trophies: None

Step 1 - Play through the DLC Story:

Just play through the story getting as many prize bubbles as you can, I'd recommend playing through in co-op so you can to get all the x2 bubbles done, it will also make a lot of other bubbles easier. You can do the x2 bubbles on your own with 1 move and 2 DS3 controllers, it will just be a bit more hassle.

Step 2 - Side Levels:

Now play through the side levels. There are a couple of miscellaneous trophies to get such as "On A Roll" and "On The Ball". You'll also need to reach the high scores in order to get 100% of the prize bubbles. If you need help with levels see the "Avid Collector" trophy.

Step 3 - Aces/Prize Bubbles:

Now you need to play through the 6 story levels to clean up any prize bubbles you missed for the "Avid Collector" trophy and also ace all 6 of them for "Ace In The Pack"

Step 4 - Miscellaneous:

There are a handful of trophies not related to the new levels, but they are all rather straightforward. Check the guide for "Diploma In Creation", "Path To Success", "Self Portrait" & "Feel The Earth Move".

**MUPPETS DLC**

Overview:
+ Estimated Trophy Difficulty: 2/10
+ Trophy Breakdown: 5 - 1 - 1
+ Online/Offline: 1 Online trophy for playing community levels. The rest can be done either online or offline.
+ Approximate Time To 100%: 1 hour+
+ Minimum Number Of Playthroughs Needed: 1
+ Missable Trophies: None

Step 1 - Play through the DLC Story:

Simple enough, just play through all the story levels, make sure to pick up the 2 extra level keys from the first 2 levels to unlock the mini games. They are on the main path though so should be hard to miss. You should get the Dancing on the Ceiling fairly quickly and once you finish you'll be rewarded with the Muppet Mastery Trophy.

Step 2 - Side Levels:

There are two mini games in the DLC, and each has a trophy attached to it. So play through each of them until you reach the required score and you'll be rewarded with the Captain Pig-ard & Big Top! trophies, see the guide for videos of both.

Step 3 - Aces/Miscellaneous

Now play through any levels again where you missed the ace first time round, once you've aced all 5 story levels you'll get the Standing Ovation! Trophy. I put miscellaneous in this step as there is only one trophy in the DLC and it's easy enough to do while going for the ace in that level at the same time. So when playing the "Muppet Labs" level, go for the Beakers We Can trophy if you still need it.

Step 4 - Community levels:

Finally, all you should have left to do is play through 5 Attract-O-Gel community levels for the Stick Together trophy. Once done you should be at 100% in the DLC, congrats!

**Cross Controller Pack DLC**

Overview:

  • Estimated trophy difficulty: 3-4/10 (personal estimate)
  • Offline: 6 (4 , 1 , 1 ) - All but one trophy can be earned offline, but you will need two players (either local co-op or online) to get all prize bubbles and complete the two mini-games
  • Online: 1 (1 ) - You must have access to an internet connection in order to complete the 5 required community levels
  • Approximate amount of time to 100%: 4-6 hours
  • Minimum number of playthroughs needed: 1-2+
  • Number of missable trophies: None, all levels can be replayed
  • Glitched trophies: none known at this time
  • Does difficulty affect trophies? Not applicable
  • Do cheat codes disable trophies? No cheats known at this time.
  • Special Notes: This is the 3rd DLC pack for LBP2, released December 18, 2012 for $4.99 on PSN
  • Additional Requirements: A PlayStation Vita is required to earn 100% trophies in this DLC pack and you must have 499 megs of free space on a Vita memory card for data install*. Note also that certain trophies require a minimum of 2 players (local co-op or online)**

*** Warning*** - If you do NOT have a Vita, you will NOT be able to launch this DLC on your PS3, and cannot earn ANY trophy playing solo except the one for watching the new tutorials. The nature of this content is such that the levels are unplayable without a Vita.

Introduction:

The latest DLC pack for LBP 2 is the first content to feature Cross-Controller functionality between the PS3 and PSVita. Overall this is quite well implemented, and shows off the unique features of the Vita.

You will be using your Vita as a controller for your PS3, and utilizing the touch screen functions to move objects and interact with the environment on your TV screen. If you have played LBP for the Vita, these features will be familiar.

In addition, at times you will be transported off screen and into a mini-level played entirely on your Vita screen

Preamble and Set-Up:

There has been some confusion surrounding the use of this DLC pack. You will need a PS3 with a copy of LBP2. You purchase the DLC pack through the store and download it to your console. You will then need to pair your Vita with your PS3 using the Remote Play application on the Vita. This will prompt you to set up the Cross-Controller feature.

Note that at this stage, a data transfer of 499 megs will be initiated between the PS3 and the Vita. You must have a memory card with this much free space in order to proceed.

A number of users have reported problems getting the Vita and PS3 to sync and exchange data. This seems to be related to the home network router configuration leading to conflicts. An excellent summary of the problem and steps to resolve it has been provided by user nicarg here

Once set-up you proceed to gameplay using the Vita as your PS3 controller.

You do NOT need to own the Vita version of LBP (I have seen this referred to as LBP2 for Vita, which it is not - the Vita game is a separate, stand alone title).

Note that the above assumes you own a Vita. If you do not, you can still purchase this DLC pack, but cannot access any content locally. You will need to join a game hosted by a Vita owner. The Vita owner must always be the host, and it has been reported that certain trophies still may not be attainable for non-Vita owners. The nature of the levels is such that it would be impossible to progress without the Vita functionality.

Walkthrough:

Step 1: Tutorials

This game adds 5 new tutorials. I would suggest getting them out of the way first for an easy trophy. Note that you can select the tutorial, then immediately exit out and still get the trophy ( Astrophysicist). It has been reported that this cannot be done in Co-op, but that even players without a Vita can access these tutorials via My Moon, and can achieve the trophy.

Step 2: Playthrough

Next, jump into the main story. This DLC pack adds 3 new main story 2 levels, 2 mini-games, 3 narrative non-interactive story levels, and 1 boss battle. Upon completion of the 3 main levels and final boss battle, you will earn In Space... Note that you do not need to play the mini-games in order to earn this trophy.

Step 3: Mini-Games

There are two new mini-games added to this pack. These must be played in co-op, either locally or online. If you try to access them solo, you will be returned to the menu. So grab a friend and complete the trophy objectives to earn Never Tell Me The Odds and Unidentified Feathered Object

Step 4: Community Levels

For this step you only need to complete 5 community levels with Cross-Controller functionality. It has been reported that only the player with the Vita will earn these, so players 2-4 with only PS3 controllers cannot gain this trophy. I would suggest searching for levels with "Vita" or "Cross" in their description. This will earn Jeffries Tube

Step 5: Clean-Up

You should now have 2 trophies left. You will need to ace the 3 main story levels and boss level for Final Frontier. Note that you do not need to play the mini-games in order to earn this trophy. Lastly replay any levels where you missed prize bubbles. Fortunately there are only 3 levels with bubbles, but you will need at least 2 players to get all bubbles. Not only is there a dreaded 4X section on the third main story level, but on the levels where the Vita player is transported off screen to allow the other players to progress, there are bubbles in those locked sections. Players 2-4 will have to collect them, as the Vita player cannot access them. There are no bubbles in the Vita sections. Once you have them all, you will unlock Bounty Hunter, and should have 100% on this unique DLC.

100% Complete
Earn all LittleBigPlanet 2 trophies to unlock this platinum trophy (12)
Complete Story Mode
Complete the main path of the story mode (1)

STORY RELATED CAN’T BE MISSED. Awarded after defeating the boss in Into The Heart Of The Negativitron, which is the last level in the Cosmos levels. If any levels are causing you difficulty check out Ace Story Mode for the link to a thread containing videos showing each level being aced. There are a total of 30 levels to complete in the main story path. You are not required to do the side levels to unlock this trophy.

Ace Story Mode
Ace every level in the story mode (9)

There are a total of 30 levels that you need to ace for this trophy. You can keep track of the levels you have successfully completed without dying, because on the level select screen they will have a gold spade shape on them. Be aware that in levels that contain sackbots, having a sackbot die counts as a death for you. What this means obviously is that even if you yourself don't die, a sackbot death will stop the level from being classified as being aced.

For videos of each level being aced please check the thread created by FENDR.

Aces in Spades
Ace 10 different Story levels in a row (9)

In order to ace a level you have to get through it from start to finish without dying once. You're best off starting from the hardest level you're going to try and ace then playing the next 10 levels backwards so you end with the easiest. Remember that dying resets the count so if this happens you'll have to start from the first level again. You are not forced to do 1 level after the other so you can pick and choose which you are most comfortable with. Please note that cut-scenes and side levels do NOT count towards your 10 aced levels - thanks mcnichoj-.

If you don't think you can earn this legitimately then you can use the backup progress technique. To do this you'll need to ace a level, then after doing this backing up you LBP2 progress. Now play another story level and if you ace it back up this new save. If you manage to die you can bring back the save you backed up and you'll be able to carry on where you left off rather than having to start from scratch. To back up the save press , select settings and scroll down to profile. From here select back up profile. When you want to load the save go back into the profile and this time select import profile. Credits to OldSnoova for detailing this trick.

The following are the list of levels (I used the backup way so order doesn't really matter) that I found easiest and went for. You might have found different levels, but these were the ones I managed to ace on my first story run through:

1. Rookie Test (First level in Da Vinci's Hideout). Difficulty: 0/10. Comments: There are no enemies, there is no fire, electricity etc making dying basically impossible.

2. Grab and Swing (Second level in Da Vinci's Hideout). Difficulty: 1/10. Comments: Basically impossible to die in part 1. Beware the electricity when swinging during the race in part 2.

3. Foul Play (last level in The Factory of A Better Tomorrow). Difficulty: 1/10. Comments: Run. Run and don't stop running. You'll have to jump a few fiery gaps but it's ridiculously easy.

4. Up And At 'Em (first level in Eve's Asylum). Difficulty: 1/10. Comments: This is a stupidly easy level. You just have to make sure you don't get yourself stuck or you'll be squashed at the bottom of the screen.

5. Avalon's Advanced Armaments Academy (first level on Avalonia). Difficulty: 2/10. Comments: This is a rather long level, but you're not faced with much of a challenge. You've just got to beware the electricity. Take it slowly and you'll manage this no problems.

6. The Sackbot Redemption (third level in Avalonia). Difficulty: 2/10. Comments: Another easier level to ace. All you have to do is make sure that you avoid the electrical currents while on the bee. There is nothing on this level that can one hit kill you, so just take it slow as you move the sackbots about. If a sackbot dies it does not count as acing the level so only carry 1 or 2 at a time for safety - thanks deadmau5 for pointing this out -.

7. Gripple Grapple (third level in Da Vinci's Hideout). Difficulty: 3/10. Comments: You won't be facing any enemies on this level, but you'll need to be able to handle the grapple hook to avoid all the electricity. It's a fairly long level of 2 parts.

8. Kling Klong (last level in Victoria's Laboratory). Difficulty: 3/10. Comments: Part 1 requires you to jump over 2 electricity fields he fires along the floor. Part 2 you'll be dodging cylinders that he fires out of his house. This is straightforward. The last part is the hardest. He'll fire a line of electricity, firstly on the top of the screen, then the middle and lastly the bottom. Make sure to stand on the ledge when he's firing as you can't be hurt there at all.

9. Pipe Dreams (second level in The Factory of A Better Tomorrow). Difficulty: 3/10. Comments: Your only real threats here come from getting squished, and the enemies that shoot fire. You can run right through them without dying, just don't get caught by the fire they shoot.

10. Huge Peril For Huge Spaceship (last level in Avalonia). Difficulty: 4/10. Comments: This is a side scrolling shooter on the bee. As long as you have quick reflexes to avoid the mini projectiles, and don't get hit at all with the huge beam you'll be ok.

By the time I'd done all 10 levels I had died 4 times, 3 on Huge Peril For Huge Spaceship and once on Avalon's Advanced Armaments Academy stupidly. Basically I'm saying that using the backup method is a brilliant idea. To avoid errors, it is recommended that you check the Aces in Spades pin after every level to make sure that the level has counted correctly towards the 10 - thanks fatboyslick for suggesting this -.

Prize Collector
Collect 50% of Story prize bubbles (1)

Earned while going for Uber Prize Collector. You will most likely unlock this trophy the first time you play through the story, without going out of your way to collect all the bubbles.

10 Story Versus Wins
Win 10 Story mode Versus games against at least one other player offline (1)

The first versus mode that you unlock will be Block Drop in Da Vinci's Hideout. You must complete the story level Bravery Test and collect the key to unlock it. As this is done offline you will need to have another controller to do this. Simply play this level 10 times and let yourself win each time. The easiest way to do this is to press the correct button 1 time then wait for the minute to run out.

Multiplier 5x
Score a 5x multiplier in a Story level (1)

See Multiplier 10x.

Multiplier 10x
Score a 10x multiplier in a Story level

The description is a little misleading here. You don't actually need to be playing a story level to unlock this. It is possible to do it in one of the side levels. The first opportunity you will have to unlock this will be in the side level Hedge Hopping in Da Vinci's Hideout, which you unlock when you collect the key in Grab and Swing. In order to build up the multiplier you must collect a number of the point bubbles without too much time between collecting each one. If you attempt this on Hedge Hopping, you will want to be as far to the left of the screen as possible when you start going for the bubbles or you'll run out of space before reaching the 10x multiplier. Another possible place to achieve this is during the level Flying In The Face Of Danger, in the Avalonia section of the game. When the screen becomes vertical, you'll fly through several narrow pathways with a ton of bubbles.

Scoreboard 50%
Place in the top 50% of players in the online scoreboard for a Story level

See Scoreboard 25%.

Scoreboard 25%
Place in the top 25% of players in the online scoreboard for a Story level (30)

This trophy is actually a lot easier than people made out, and I got it without even trying to on the level Rookie Test in Da Vinci's Hideout. As this is the first real level it is always going to have the most unique plays. Just try to get all the point bubbles you can, and try to get them fast enough to earn yourself multipliers. My score of 5,290 put me 4,943 out of 63,000 people. That was on my first attempt without aiming for this trophy. As that was in the top 10% I'd say that a score around 5,300-5,500 should always be good enough for the top 25%. As time goes on the number of plays will reach into the 100,000's making that top 25% goal even easier.

Monster Masher
Kill 20 monsters in Story levels

Impossible to miss if you play through the story. You will first encounter an enemy in the level Runaway Train in Victoria's Laboratory. If you kill every monster in that level and then all of the enemies in the next level, Brainy Cakes, you'll reach 20 in just those 2 levels.

Mortal Coil Shuffler Extraordinaire
Accumulate 20 deaths in one Story level (2)

On the level Gripple Grapple in Da Vinci's Hideout, shortly after the start there is an electrified circuit board right next to a respawning point. Just run in and die 20 times and this trophy will unlock. This will take less than a minute.

Dive In 25
Dive in and play 25 random levels with other players, and don't immediately leave! (24)

In order to dive into a level you'll need to go to the community and select cool levels or mm picks. At the top of the list is "DIVE IN!" which you'll need to select. This will make you join a random person playing one of the levels. You can't back out immediately or it will not count. Play until the end of the level. You don't have to dive in 25 times you can stay with a person and complete more than one level. To keep track of how many times you've done this you can go to your pins. It is in the General Pins section on the 7th row down.

Play 25 Community Levels
Play 25 unique cooperative community levels

Earned while going for Play 75 Community Levels.

Play 75 Community Levels
Play 75 unique cooperative community levels (3)

When the description says play, it actually means complete. It is no good to join a level then leave right away. For it to count you must complete it. Please note that versus levels do not count towards this trophy (so only pick levels that don't have the 2 red sackthings on the level picture). After your first 25 unique level plays you will unlock Play 25 Community Levels.

Don't forget to rate every level you play as well to help you towards 160 Yays or Boos. Also consider playing proper levels rather than 2 second ones to build up your time online for U Know U A Playa.

Actually Quite Good
Place in the top 25% of players in 5 community level scoreboards (with at least 50 other players in them)

Most likely you will earn this trophy will going for the other community trophies. If not just play community levels and aim for the top 25%. As with Scoreboard 25% make sure to collect all point bubbles, and try to string together multipliers. Make sure that the level you play has had at least 50 players on the scoreboard. Don't bother with versus levels as they will be trickier and need more than one person. You're most likely going to get into the top 25% on levels that have had a lot of plays, so to find those specific levels go to community, select more, then go across to most played and select this week. Be sure to read the descriptions so you know that you're playing an actual level with points rather than the various non point levels that people publish.

A much easier, if less exciting way to get this trophy is to go into community, then selecting text search. Put in "top 25%" without the ". Now you'll find lots of custom levels that are designed to make everyone come first, and therefore allow you to earn the trophy with no effort whatsoever. Just make sure that the level you play actually has had more than 50 plays or it won't count - thanks The-Captain-388 -.

Play 5 Versus Levels
Play 5 unique community Versus levels

Simply play 5 different versus levels. You know that a level is a versus one when there are two red sackthings on the top of the level picture. You have to complete the level for it to count. Note that simply playing a story level online won't work, it has to be a community level. If you look under MM picks you'll find a lot of really good versus levels.

25 Online Versus Wins
Win 25 Versus mode community levels against at least 1 other player (27)

The description is slightly misleading. What it actually means is 1 other online player. You can't do this using a second controller. Head over to the co-op partners thread to find a boosting partner. Find a versus level that is very short to make this go faster. I found a level called LBP2 first Zombie survival which can be won in 15 seconds. Start the level off, move to the left as you are in the air. Let the zombies kill your partner (who just stands still) then kill them both for 20 points then let yourself die. The level ends and you'll win with 10 points to your partners 0. To find the level, go to community and then select text search. Put "LBP2 first Zombie survival" without the " and you'll find it.

U Know U A Playa
Spend 5 hours playing community levels (6)

Not much to say to this really. You'll likely get pretty close to 5 hours while working on the other community trophies (or you might even reach it). However if you've been backing out of levels constantly rather than playing them just keep playing community level until the trophy unlocks. Work on all the other community related trophies before coming on to this one. You can keep track of how long you've played community levels by going to your pins, using until you reach the general pins section. It is the first one called U Know U A Playa. Unfortunately it is not possible to just join a level and stand still as you are actually required to be active. I recommend going to community and selecting MM picks. From here you'll find a lot of extremely impressive levels that will make time fly, especially if you decide to play with other people.

A Game A Day Keeps The Doctor Away
Play LittleBigPlanet 2 on every day of the week

If you don't think you'll be on LBP2 at least once a day for a week then you'll be pleased to know that you can earn this trophy by changing the date of your PS3 console. Quit the game and on the XMB change your date to the next day (settings->date and time settings->date and time->set manually). Start the game up again, and once you are in the pod on the 7th day it will unlock. Make sure that you are in the pod before you quit to change the day or it won't count.

Who Needs Breakfast?
Play LittleBigPlanet 2 before 9am

To save yourself the hassle of being on LBP2 before 9am you can do the easy way. Quit the game and on the XMB change your time to 08:50 (settings->date and time settings->date and time->set manually). Start the game up again, and once you are in the pod it will unlock.

Just... One... More... Go...
Play LittleBigPlanet 2 after 9pm (2)

To save yourself the hassle of being on LBP2 after 9pm you can do the easy way. Quit the game and on the XMB change your time to 21:05 (settings->date and time settings->date and time->set manually). Start the game up again, and once you are in the pod it will unlock.

Grapple Hooked
Create a chain of 4 players grappling each other (20)

To do this you'll need 4 sackpeople. You can do this offline if you have 4 controllers, but as you have to press and hold on each controller, I'd recommend heading over to the co-op partners thread and finding people there. You have three options for this trophy. Either finding a level online that has a grappling hook, playing one of the story levels with a grappling hook, or creating a level to do this with. In order to grapple you'll need to press and hold . Make sure that you grab the sackperson rather than the material. Keep the tether short so you can all grab each other. If you decide to create a level it's very straightforward. Press to disable hover mode. Press to bring up the popit and select tools bag. Using go across to the third page and select the grappling hook. Place that on the floor next to you. Now press and open the goodies bag from the popit menu. Under basic material select the sponge and create a platform from which your sackpeople can hang. Once the first person has grappled the material, the next person grapples the first and so on.

Turbo Slapper
Slap more than one player at once (2)

To do this you'll need 3 sackpeople. You can do this offline if you have 3 controllers. If not head over to the co-op partners thread and find people there. To slap someone you need to hold down , then flick the right analogue stick from right to left quickly. Make sure that the 2 sackpeople getting slapped are right next to each other so you hit them both. This can be done in the Pod.

Snappy Dresser
Change your costume (2)

At any point in the game where you can bring up your popit with , go to the customise character option and change your outfit. Soon as you change you'll unlock this. If the trophy does not unlock try changing every item of clothing (or loading a custom costume you created if you owned LBP1) - thanks The-Captain-388 -.

10 Minutes of Create
Spend 10 active minutes in Create mode (1)

Earned while going for 1440 Minutes of Create.

1440 Minutes of Create
Spend 24 active hours in Create mode (35)

This trophy is the biggest grind of all the LBP2 trophies. You'll need to spend a staggering 1,440 minutes in create mode, and not just be standing still. Unless you're a crazy creator who spends hours making lots of levels you'll have little choice but to attempt one of the two tricks explained below.

Credits to BobbyLight for this suggestion.

To do this you need a controller with a turbo button, I used a Hori Fight stick. Go into create mode and set to turbo. Now tape the button down and walk away. This constantly opens and closes the popit menu which counts as activity. Leave on for 24 hours and the trophy is yours. Note that you need to back out of create mode for the trophies to pop. I tested this on the 10 minute trophy and it worked like a charm.

Credits to AndrewAnonymous for this suggestion (Currently it's a bit hit and miss with this method so please don't set it up and leave your PS3 on for hours, check after 10 minutes to see if it's working).

You can actually use a rubber band on your right stick to spin the object. I did this over night and when I saved my progress, I earned the 10 minutes of create trophy. So, I should have about 11 hours of create already.

To do this you need to get an object with your popit that you can spin. Get it ready to be placed then fix the rubber band around your right stick in a way that makes the object spin.

After your first 10 minutes of creating you will unlock 10 Minutes of Create.

Community Spirit
Publish a level to the community (2)

Earned at the same time as Step into my Arena.

50 Unique Players
A level you published was played by 50 unique players (145)

If you are a creative person you will most likely achieve this trophy without having to boost. If however, you are hopeless like me you'll need to boost the views. To do this head over to the Level 4 Level thread and follow the instructions there to get your level added. Then it is simply a matter of waiting for 50 unique plays of the level, and of course returning the favour by playing other peoples levels.

Long Term Publisher
A level you published has been published for 7 days (2)

If you have played the original LittleBigPlanet, and you choose to have your profile carried over into LBP2, you'll most likely unlock this trophy as soon as you get started. If you've not published a level before, or didn't own LBP, publish a level and wait a week for this trophy to unlock. It is not possible to trick your PS3 into thinking it's been a week by changing the date as the submission info is stored server side with MM.

A Series of Tubes
Use a Level Link to link two of your published levels together (1)

After you have published a level for Step into my Arena and Community Spirit, create another level. This time put nothing in it but a level link. Link it with your published level, save, then publish this level. After the trophy unlocks I recommend you remove this level. To link a level you need the level linker teleport. Open your popit with , go to tools and press 3 times until you're on gameplay kits. Select the level link object. Place it on the ground. After doing this move your popit cursor over the level link and press You will now be able to select your level you've already published to be linked with this one.

Custom Badger
Create a custom badge for your level from a PlayStation Eye photo or an in-game photo (1)

The easiest way to do this is using an in-game photo. At any point during the game, simply press start and select the photo taking option. Now go into create mode. Press and go to Edit Details at the top. Move your cursor until you're on the level picture and select this. Now press once to go across to My Pictures. From here select one of the pictures you took to be the image for the level. The description is misleading however, as this is not enough to earn the trophy. You must then publish the level with your custom badge before the trophy unlocks.

Step into my Arena
Publish a Versus mode level

Create any sort of level, doesn't matter how good it is. Now once you have done this bring up popit with . Select tools bag and press 7 times until you are on the Global Controls menu. The first header "gameplay" will let you change the level from cooperative to versus. Set it to versus and when you publish the level you'll unlock this trophy and Community Spirit.

Teacher's Pet
You watched all the tutorials! Take a gold star, go to the top of the class. (6)

There are a total of 52 tutorials to complete. In order to access them, when in your pod, open up the computer and select Me. After this select tutorials for the full list. You can keep track of which you've done because they'll be ticked. You don't have to complete the tutorials, as soon as they load you can back out and it still counts.

With patch 1.2 this trophy has no longer become obtainable unless you also own the move pack and cross controller DLCs. To get around this, ensure that before earning any other trophy you start the game offline so you don't download any patches and get this trophy out the way. If you have already started the game make sure to back up your LBP2 profile to a USB stick or similar and then delete it and do as mentioned then once you've earned the trophy you can recover your data. - Credits to MerioMerio for finding a solution to this -

40 Yays
Give 40 positive votes on community levels

Earned while going for 160 Yays or Boos.

160 Yays
Give 160 positive votes on community levels (4)

Every time you play a community level make sure to give it a vote. While going for all the other community related trophies such as The Votarator 50, you'll most likely reach this amount. If not just keep browsing for online levels you've not played before and vote on them. In order to give a yay or a boo, while in the level press and you'll see 2 images of your sackperson. Selecting the smiley face gives a yay and the sad face a boo. You can do this as soon as you start the level and then leave, it will still count.

Journalistical
Write a review (1)

Get into any random community level. Press then go across to reviews using . Select this and you'll see all the reviews the level has been given. At the top you'll see an option that says: Leave your own REVIEW! Simply putting one word in the review box then selecting done is enough. You'll be taken back to the list of reviews and the trophy will pop.

Paparazzo
Upload a photo (2)

Once you have taken a photo (which you can do at any time in a level by selecting the photo option after pressing ), you need to bring up your popit. Go to stickers and decorations and press 3 times until you are on the My Pictures menu. Select the photo you took (move the cursor on it) and press . You'll now have a list of options, simply go down to upload and select it and you'll unlock this trophy.

The Votarator 5
Rate 5 brand new community levels (less than 10 plays)

Earned while going for The Votarator 50.

The Votarator 50
Rate 50 brand new community levels (less than 10 plays) (2)

In order to find the brand new levels go into the community, scroll down to more, then go all the way across to Newest Levels. You'll be taken to a screen with all the new levels. You can see the number of ratings and plays the level has had before you start it. You must choose a level with less than 10 plays. You do not need to finish the level, you can rate it right after joining, then quit. After your first 5 ratings you will unlock The Votarator 5. You can keep track of how many of the 50 you have completed by going to the Pod, selecting Me followed by My Pins at the bottom. Now press 4x until you're on the Share Pins list. On the 3rd row down you'll find the pin called The Votarator 50 which tells you how many you've done so far.

A Dip In The Stream
Play a level from your Recent Activity

When you are in your pod, access your computer with then scroll down to the third option, Recent Activity. Select this then press to play whatever comes up there. Soon as the level loads you'll get this trophy.

If you can't see anything listed in your recent activity (MM seems to have modified your starting privacy settings), then you'll have to try the following workaround that Cauchy has found works.

In the mean time, I’ve uncovered a workaround: First, just to be safe, log in to lbp.me and adjust your web privacy settings. Then, from your pod, go to your controller and select “Me” > “My Profile”. Scroll to the bottom and select “Latest Activity”. Select a level to play and the trophy will unlock right after the level starts.

Note that lbp.me is a website not something hidden away on the game. You will need to put in your PSN name and password to the site in order to log in. It is an official site, though, so don't worry. For some reason just changing your privacy settings as they explain when you try to view recent activity doesn't fix the problem. I'm sure this is only temporary and will be patched soon.

Uber Prize Collector
Collect 100% of Story prize bubbles (10)

On top of these bubbles, you'll also get bonus ones for completing the level the first time, acing it the first time and collecting all the bubbles in the level. You will need 2, 3 or 4 players/controllers to access certain level prize bubbles. They are as follows:

Maximum Security (The Factory of a Better Tomorrow)
Pipe Dreams (The Factory of a Better Tomorrow)

TheVarietyGamer on youtube has kindly put together videos showing where to get all prize bubbles in the story mode. On top of this he's also showing how to get the scores required in the side levels to unlock the prize bubbles there. He talks you through it all which is very helpful. You can find his channel in the link below, or alternatively check the thread I've made with the videos in.

DLC: Move Pack
Cost: 9.99 Trophies: 11

Avid Collector
Collect 100% of LittleBigPlanet 2: Move Pack prize bubbles (3)

The same deal as with the main game. I'd recommend playing through the whole thing with a partner online, or offline if you have 2 move controllers. There are some sections that require 2 people and there are many others that are just easier with two since you have pick up other players with the Brain crane and launch them at bubbles. Just by having a partner and being thorough you should get the majority of the bubbles. There are videos below for the main story levels and the toughest of the side levels.

You can get these on your own with 1 move controller and 2 normal controllers (DS3/Sixaxis) by switching the move controller back and forth between the other two to control both sack people and allow you to get all the prize bubbles - Thanks Bendtner92

Main Story Levels:

Side Levels

Ace In The Pack
Ace all the Story levels in the LittleBigPlanet 2: Move Pack

Ace the 6 main story levels in the dlc. Again, this is the same deal as the main game. You need to complete each of the levels without dying so that the golden spade shows up next to the level icon. Some of the levels can be quite tricky, such as the last 2 levels, but they are all very doable. Just take it slow when you have to, don't try to rush, and you should get through it. Most of the levels aren't too bad once you are familiar with them.

Accomplished Mover
Complete 25 community levels that require the Motion Controller (1)

For the quickest/easiest time you'll want some instant finish levels to play. You can search the name of the trophy, "Accomplished Mover", and some should come up. It won't take long playing levels like these, simply finish 25 of them. You can play normal levels if you prefer, it will just take longer. Look for the little Move icon next to the icon for the level to show that it's a move level and will count towards this trophy.

Diploma In Creation
Complete all the tutorials in the LittleBigPlanet 2: Move Pack

There are a bunch of new tutorials added with this update so just go through each of them in turn in the tutorials menu. You don't even actually have to do the tutorial, you can just run to the end. Although you might want to complete the "Motion Recorder" tutorial as doing so will also get you the "Path to Success" trophy.

Locksmith
Unlock all the LittleBigPlanet 2: Move Pack minigames

There are a total of 7 minigames to unlock in the move pack. You can see which are unlocked in which main story level as they branch of from it at level select. None of the keys are particularly out of the way so you are likely to get them all just playing as you would normally. See for the video "Avid Collector" trophy.

Feel The Earth Move
Publish a Motion Controller enabled level to the Earth

This is a simple one if you are just looking for the trophy. Head to your moon and just create a simple start finish level. Then from your toolbag, add a Brain Crane to the level and also make sure the level is Move recommended in the game options (Thanks mjc0961). Then save, exit, and publish to get your trophy. The level should have a move icon next to it on your planet.

Stick It To The Man
Destroy the boss in Just Desserts

This is a story related trophy. You will get it by completing the final boss level in the dlc "Just Desserts". The boss is fairly straightforward, you need to use the firebugs located in each section and launch them at the boss when he is in their line of fire while dodging the attacks he throws at you. The firebugs at first must be held down with the Move before releasing which causes them to fire directly up. Further on in the fight, there will be one in the middle on a rope that you need to pull back in on direction and release to fire at the boss in the opposite direction. Once you down the boss, you'll get this trophy.

On The Ball
Complete The Tail of Claude The Field Mouse without dropping a ball (3)

This is one of the side missions that tasks you with moving pieces of wood and other objects around in order to guide a ball from a starting point to a destination. To get this trophy you need to complete all 8 puzzles without failing once. There is a place for a sticker at the start that adds a second ball, don't use it when going for this trophy, it helps when going for prize bubbles in this level.

There is more than one possible solution to a lot of these so there may be easier solutions to some of them. They all work though and should get you through the level easily enough.

On A Roll
Complete Fast Food without losing a ball (1)

This is another of the side levels. You need to tilt the move controller to move the ball around a course. This one if fairly straightforward. It's a relatively short level and there aren't that many dangers. You eventually come to some red holes in the ground you need to avoid and there is a narrow path you need to negotiate near the end but if you just take it slow and are careful at these sections, it shouldn't cause you much trouble. There is also a wall that is marked with a skull, when you hit it you get a new path to go on. Avoid it when going for this trophy, however, use it when trying to get all the prize bubbles.

Self Portrait
Use a painting as your avatar

You can paint from your popit, you can just do it from your pod. Open it up, go to sticker and select paint. Paint anything you want, doesn't have to be good, and save your masterpiece. There is a tutorial on painting if you want a bit more info on how to do it so that you can make something nicer. Once you have your painting saved, go to "Me" on the Pod computer and then "My Profile". Select the picture at the top left and change it to your saved painting.

Path To Success
Use the Motion Recorder to record your movements

Easiest way to get this is to just follow the "Motion Recorder" tutorial when going for the "Diploma In Creation" trophy. It's a quick tutorial that teaches you how to record movements for objects and characters using the move controller which you can then play back during your level. Once you create some movements for Stephen Fry's cat, the trophy will pop.

DLC: The Muppets Premium Level Pack
Cost: 5.99 Trophies: 7

Standing Ovation!
Ace all 5 Muppet Story levels (10)

Hardest trophy from the dlc, although 4 out of 5 of the levels shouldn't cause you much trouble. The final boss can be a bit frustrating, but it will just come down to being patient and trying until you succeed. The most annoying part I found was the falling debris section at the end. I found I kept getting caught to the right, so don't get caught going further and further to one side or you'll just get trapped. Make sure you move in both directions, also it can help to keep an eye on the shadows for where you should be dodging. I'd also say take it as slow as you can on the teeth sections and always go as close to the center of each one as you can. Just be patient and you'll get there. The rest of the levels are fairly straightforward compared to the last one.

Beakers We Can
Complete 'Muppet Labs!' using no more than 40 Beakers

This is the 3rd level of the DLC "Muppet Labs". You get a creatinator that fires clones of the muppet character "Beaker". You need to use him to move platforms and other things around the level. For the trophy you need to get to the end of the level using no more than 40 Beakers. You actually have a reasonable margin for error, especially if you realise you can jump onto the targets at certain sections instead of firing Beaker. You can even suicide on occasion by dropping on to a target to save a Beaker, but it isn't necessary. Like I said there is a reasonable margin for error here. See the video below to get a better idea of what to do.

Also, I first did this in online co-op. I fired the Beakers and my playing partner didn't. When we got to the end the trophy unlocked for him but not me, so it is potentially a little glitched. It was simple enough for me to get it though, I just played it again solo and it unlocked without issue.

Captain Pig-ard
Achieve a score of 4000 or higher in 'Pigs In Elevators (In Space)!'

Get the Key in the first DLC level, in the first low gravity section it's above the 2nd checkpoint.

This is one of the two mini games in the DLC. You need to continually move down through the level while a lethal red barrier is constantly being lowered above you. This isn't too bad, I would say don't go for all the bubble, even skip whole sections at times if you are getting too close to the barrier. When you have more room try and get more, max out the multiplier etc. To give yourself a better idea of how to do it, see the video below.

Big Top!
Achieve a score of 2500 or higher in 'Gonzo's Endless Cannon Run Ride!'

Get the key in the 2nd DLC level, at the end of a long swinging section, you need to jump to get it from the last swing.

This is the second of the two mini games in the DLC. In this one cannons & bouncy platforms, amongst other increasingly lethal things, will be moving right across the screen. You need to drop from the attract-o-gel ceiling when you can to get as many bubbles as possible. Again just play it reasonably safe when you need to and try to max out the multiplier when you can and you shouldn't have too much trouble, to get a better idea though, see the video below.

Muppet Mastery
Complete The Muppet pack's story

There are a total of 7 levels in the DLC, 5 story levels and 2 mini games. This trophy is easy enough, you just need to finish the 5 story levels and you'll get it after the final boss.

Stick Together
Play 5 community levels containing Attract-O-Gel (3)

Simply play 5 community levels that have attract-o-gel in them. Easiest way to find levels is just to use the text search and enter "attract-o-gel". You'll find plenty of levels as well as a lot of instant finish ones if you just want to get your trophy as quickly as possible. The trophy will unlock when you play your fifth level.

Dancing On The Ceiling
Travel 17.5 metres on the walls and ceilings (5)

This is the main new create item in the DLC. It's a gel that can go on walls and ceilings that allows your sack person to defy gravity and walk along them. There are a lot of sections in the DLC with this so it's impossible to play through the whole thing and miss it, it will likely unlock in the first couple of levels that you play.

DLC: Cross-Controller Pack
Cost: 4.99 Trophies: 7

Final Frontier
Ace all the Cross-Controller levels.

To earn this trophy you will need to complete the 3 main story levels, and final boss level without dying. This is not overly difficult and shouldn't take more than a few tries. It is easiest to do solo, which may pose a problem for players without a Vita, as they can only access this content by playing co-op. The last boss battle will probably be the hardest, but certainly isn't any more difficult than the regular LBP or LBP2 levels.

User TigerLust has provided some useful tips for players tackling this in co-op.

There are some nice tricks for those of us on a PS3 joining someone with a Vita:

1) You can join towards the end of the match, and still get credit. We did this on the 3rd stage, I joined right before the end and got the ace and the trophy (we had aced the boss already).

2) For the final boss, while the host is "using the vita for treasure", you can fly above and slightly to the left of the boss - and the crabs will get stuck on his butt. You may need to move for the occasional gun fire, but for the most part you can stay in that spot while the Vita game is active and you are relatively safe. Whenever the Vita player re-emerges, you need to get back over to the far left again. The boss didn't fire missiles when I was in that spot as well!

Bounty Hunter
Grab all the Prize Bubbles in Story Mode

This will require you to find all the prize bubbles in the DLC. Fortunately, only the 3 main story levels have prize bubbles. There are none in the boss level, none in the mini-games, nor for reaching specific score targets in the mini-games. As with previous LBP iterations, a few bubbles are well hidden, but overall most are quite easy to find.

General Tips:
There are no bubbles in the Vita exclusive sections, but there are a few in the sections which are unlocked by the Vita player. In these sections, the Vita player is taken off screen, and progresses locally on their Vita screen, while the other players move forward on the PS3 screen. These sections are locked from the Vita player, so the bubbles located there can only be earned by the PS3 specific players. Consequently all levels must be done in Co-op (either local or online) in order to gain 100%. There are also a few 2x and 4x sections, although they are simple enough that they can be done with additional controllers, without requiring 4 actual players.

Escape From San Crispin:

The first level is fairly easy. There is only one tricky bubble hidden behind a pillar near the start. This screen cap should identify the location.

There are 2 bubbles later in the level, which while not hidden, do blend in with the background. Be sure not to miss them.

There are no 2x/4x bubbles in this sections, but there are 3 bubbles in the section where the Vita player goes off screen, and these can only be collected by players 2-4, who continue forward on the PS3 screen.

Hen-O-Morph Encounter:

Probably the hardest level in terms of hidden bubbles, this one has a few easy to miss locations.

First off, near the start, and the one that most people miss, there are 2 bubbles behind a large crate marked FEED.

Shortly thereafter you will come to a large spinning wheel. You jump up and grab on to move across to the other side and progress. Before getting off, stay hanging on for a full rotation to grab these sneaky bubbles hidden off the bottom of the screen.

Moving forward, you will drop out of a tube and need to follow the arrow pointing right to progress. Before doing so, go behind the hay stack to find 2 bubbles hidden off screen to the left.

Next up, you will spring up to this section.

Note the grabbable chain, if you pull it, prize bubbles will drop down.

The hardest to reach bubbles are at this section.

The bubbles are behind a door to the right, but when you spring up and pull out the floor to cover the fire, the door closes and they are easy to miss.

Move to the platform on the left, so as to better see the door as you slide the moveable floor on the Vita.

Now position a player on the floor, and slide it to the right on the Vita screen, opening the door and letting you collect the bubbles.

Lastly, as you make your way up the grabbable walls, make sure you swing to grab the lever high on the wall in this section. It will open the door, marked green in the picture, to allow you to access these bubbles.

There are 2 separate Vita only sections, and prize bubbles that can only be collected by players 2-4, who continue forward on the PS3 screen. These are not well hidden, but note that there should be 2 in the first section, and 4 in the second.

Lastly, there is an easy 2x section in this level. The Vita player uses tilt to pull the grabbable chain to the right.

This opens a trap floor, so the other players can drop down and grab the bubbles below.

The pleasure of Treasure:

Another fairly easy level. The only hidden bubble is right at the beginning. You have to jump up into the scenery, and go behind the large mound for this well hidden bubble.

There are 2 Vita specific sections in this level, and as with the previous 2 levels, there are prize bubbles that can only be collected by players 2-4, who continue forward on the PS3 screen. There are a total of 7 bubbles in these 2 sections. Most are straight forward, but one of this is hidden, and has to be revealed by the Vita player moving the sliding section up. It shouldn't be hard to collect once you know where it is.

Finally, this level has a 4x prize bubble section. It is actually quite easy to do even with 2 players, as long as you have enough controllers. You can turn them on to bring in 2 extra sackboys, then position them according to this picture.

Once all 4 pressure pads are activated, a section at the bottom opens to reveal 5 bubbles. Note that each pressure pad also opens a door to a prize bubble above one of the other pads, but this will be obvious once you line your sackboys up.

In Space...
Complete the Cross-Controller story

Unlocks upon completion of the final boss battle. Does not require you to play the 2 mini-game levels.

Astrophysicist
Complete all the Cross-Controller Pack Tutorials

This DLC adds 5 new tutorials, accessed through your moon. Simply load them up, then exit out to move to the next. You do not need to listen to the entire tutorial. Trophy pops when you load the 5th tutorial. It has been reported that this cannot be done in Co-op, but that even players without a Vita can access these tutorials via My Moon, and can achieve the trophy.

Unidentified Feathered Object
Hatch and catch 10 Golden Chickens in Poultry Panic

Certainly the harder of the two mini-games, this one will require good team work to unlock. One player controls the Vita, and will be touching chickens as they fly across the screen. White chickens drop an egg, and you need to get it down one of the 3 pipes. Players 2-4 will need to catch the eggs, and throw them down the side chutes. The egg will then appear on a conveyor belt, and one of the players needs to use the bounce pad to jump up and pull the switches. There is a switch on each side, with the one on the left of the screen hatching the egg, and the one on the right turning a regular chicken into a golden chicken.

To get the trophy you must create 10 golden chickens. The trophy description is a bit misleading, as it has been confirmed by multiple users that the Vita player does NOT need to catch any egges from the golden chicken. Instead, the trophy will pop once you have successfully hatched 10 golden chickens.

This is probably easiest to do with a group of 3-4, so 1-2 players can catch the eggs coming down the chutes, and the other player can focus on activating the switches.

**Note requires at least 2 players (1 Vita, 1 PS3). You cannot start the mini-game playing solo.

Never Tell Me The Odds
Perform a perfect run in Space Spinner (3)

All that is required is to complete this mini-game in co-op, without the PS3 player taking any damage. This is not as hard as it sounds. The Vita player controls a space ship and once the mini-game starts, try to get blown up as quickly as possible. The PS3 player will then be transported to the exit and the trophy pops. As writing this, it is not known if this is a glitch or in fact all that is required.

**Note requires at least 2 players (1 Vita, 1 PS3). You cannot start the mini-game playing solo.

Play 5 Community Cross-Controller Levels

This DLC adds new level creating tools, which let you create levels with Vita Cross-Controller functionality. There is no new create trophy, but there are community levels up with these new features. Search for levels with "Vita" or "Cross" in their titles and you should have this in no time. It has been reported that in multiplayer sessions, only those players who are using a Vita are unlocking this trophy. Thus it would appear that you cannot gain this trophy, and therefore cannot 100% this DLC, without a Vita.
