Do they mean like on one save file? Like if your completely good and then you work hard to become evil would you have to purchase everything for the evil side and the good side on the same save file?

You only have to purchase the powers to your karma. Good = the blue karma powers : Bad = the red karma powers

Don't forget that you still need the story related trophies so don't panic if the trophy doesn't unlock when you get your final Good/Bad power, because the final power will unlock and be automatically earned until near the endgame.

You didn't purchase the ability, you may have unlocked them all but you must not have purchased one.

Hey if anyone needs a grinding spot for this and is evil, the evil side mission "Playing "Hero" is a great spot. I was 5300 short of all upgrades on my evil hard difficulty playthrough and only have 3 side missions(including this one)left and got that 5300 in less than an hour. Instead of ordering the monsters to attack, just glide into the middle of the crowd and use Ionic Drain. This will make you fail the mission and start over on the roof. Every time you do this you get close to 100xp(usually a little under but I got 102 before). Keep doing this and you'll get the trophy in no time.

Surprisingly it doesn't require getting all powers from each side, I figured this was one that would pop after the second playthrough. It's nice that the only trophies
you can't get totally going with one Karma you can get with a playthrough of the other,
not both together.

@#8 I was also surprised when I got this trophy after only my first play through and having bought all upgrades for all powers. This is going to make my evil play thorugh that much faster since I don't have to worry about unlocking all powers. Platinum, here I come!

Note to all that haven't started yet, DO THE EVIL PLAY THROUGH ON EASY FIRST and you will have an easier time getting this. VERY HARD TO GET XP AFTER YOU FINISH THE GOOD CAMPAIGN. I got lucky and found a couple of user made levels that produced some good XP for me.

I also found a glitch that on some UGC levels you could purchase powers while in the level and it wouldn't deduct the XP used to purchase from your total XP allowing you to basically get powers for free. I played multiple levels and found that some worked and others didn't, but couldn't see any identifiable reasons why some would work and others wouldn't.

Hope this helps.

Wait, no they didn't. #14 has incorrect instructions. I watched a Youtube tutorial. First go to new mission, then hit play mission without doing anything, buy as many powers as you want as long as you have enough money for the most expensive one, and it won't subtract your XP. Exit to Edit Mission when you're done, and then hit Exit, dont' save, and then check your powers and XP to make sure. It worked for me!

Okay, so I didnt buy 1 power from the good side before I did my second playthrough because I didnt think i could unlock the trophy until I had bought all the evil powers as well. Now on my good save file all the Evil powers are available to be purchased if I complete the stunts. Does anyone know whether this means I will now have to buy every single power?

I have botched this one up. On my first and second playthrough I tried both karmas and wasn't paying attention to this trophy. So I tried to buy both sets of powers for both playthroughs. I'm on my third playthrough now. Since I've messed up the first two will the trophy be locked now? I'm tthinking of deleting the first two playthroughs do one more evil playthrough. Then do as ppl above me are saying. This is the last on left until I get platinum

Anyone who is trying to farm exp through UGC missions listen up:
After the 1.2 patch you can't use UGC creator to spend free exp, and you can't delete the patch manually because it's needed to access the UGC menu.
Also, UGC missions are one use only it seems, meaning you can play them once for full exp but if you play the same level again you'll receive 0 exp when mission completes. However is you finish a mission, save, quit the game and start it again, this seems to be enough to get exp from missions you've already played. Keep this in mind.

if you need to farm experience there is a UGC titled "Experience Farm" the user is MaltaBoi. It's extremely tedious but you actually keep all the experience you get within the UGC and you can keep going back to it and still get XP. hope this helps.

Just to let everyone know that is struggling with this. You have to go through the game and complete it doing all of one karma choice, so you end as either a hero or infamous. Then for your second run through, you have to do all the opposite karma choices. So if you did hero on your other save, you then need to be infamous on the current save. Once you finish story on the second save file, ALL the powers are unlocked and 15,000 xp bonus for completing each karma mode. You then have to buy all the powers on that second save file that ALL the powers are unlocked on.

* The 15,000xp bonus doesn't cover the cost of all the new powers you have to buy. I'm currently grinding level 30 with the tesla shot as their is a path that you can take that takes you through a group of 4 enemies then 9 gro

We are certain that it's only purchasing powers for your karma, right? If so, I only have to buy the Freeze Rocket. If I have to buy the "quicker combos" and "blast shard sense" as well, I'm going to be upset. 1400 more xp to farm with the Experience Farm UGC.

Okay, here's my plan.

I have one completed good play through on hard, with the "Quicker Combos" and "Blast Shard Sense" yet to unlock. I have a save with this good Cole right before the end. I figured it was pretty much impossible to unlock those last two at this point in the game.

I started my evil Cole on easy mode, and after I finish this play through, I thought I would have more than enough xp to purchase all of the upgrades. Then I realized I would have to do all of the side missions again in order to access a few of the upgrades. I'm not too inclined to do this.

My hope, which I'm hoping you all can confirm, is that the supposed 15,000 xp you get for unlocking both endings will be available every time I complete the game from here on out. So, I will use my good Cole save to

I finished game for the second time purchased all Good and Bad karma powers and guess what? NOTHING!
As it seems, once you finish the game for the second time at least you unlock all powers regardless of alingment, which means at this point you need to buy everything - doing a 3rd run on easy now to rack up massive XP, hopefully this time it will work.

Right so I was farming xp - UGC level - and got enough to purchase a power, went into the menu and purchased it with the XP being deducted as per the usual. Went out of the Powers menu and immediately went back in to discover the XP had magically reappeared. Haven't tested to see if it works in all levels but it worked more than once on the same level. Playing the fully-patched digital version (UK/ZA).

I found a way that worked well, since after the patch, the game limits the ammount of XP you can earn per second.

Go to UGC menu and search for mission that start with "XP". A lot of mission will appear.

Look for one that is near the water (the bottom half is water with a grey square). The description says something about kill the militia.

When you start you will see a wooden bridge ledding you to an arena with several orange militia guy. Just shockwave them once an the you automatically die and recover, die and recover... just wait the xp comming! :)

In my experience you can earn 305 XP per 5-10 minutes (i think this is the limit for a UGC mission), then just abandon and look for another one exactly the same.

It is the fastest, and less active way, if you already complete e

The guide is wrong. You dont need tu purchase every single power of the game. You only need the ones available in a single playthrough, as a good guy OR as a bad guy. But not both karmic powers.

i wish the guide could be edited just to mention that if you're playing on hard it's pretty damn difficult to get enough xp to purchase all the powers, regardless of karma, without grinding one of the missions. i did my first (negative) playthrough on hard and have already finished the game and all side missions and still need a couple thousand to buy the last 3 powers. i'm on my second playthrough now on easy but one of the powers only gets unlocked after doing 60 side missions, so i i wish i didn't have to go through all that again. :(

a good mission for farming xp is "the dunbar beam." it ends when you take out the ice conduits, so just kill all the corrupteds and ravagers(?) you can with the spotlight, then abandon the mission and repeat until you feel you have enough. also, try and wait for the corrupteds to position themselves together to snag the 4-in-1, 5-in-1 multipliers. on easy you can rack up almost 1000 xp each go at it.

I did my first playthrough as Good karma (on Hard) but didn't purchase all the powers when I finished it. The cluster bomb is about 5500XP and I wanted to get through my second playthrough on Evil in order to get the Platinum. Man! I got scared when I thought I might have to get both the good and evil weapons on my second playthrough, 'cause it was gonna just take hours to farm enough xp for that haha, but luckily once you get whichever karmic weapons you needed for that playthrough, in addition to the neutral ones- you're good to go! :P Just stick to whichever karma you chose (if you end up doing it in your second playthrough like me) and if you're Evil, you can go about (ionic) draining people, or knocking them down and healing them afterwards.

I was stuck with this as my last trophy, but came up with a pretty fast trick (~300XP/15sec). It requires a 99 cent DLC. I posted about it here: http://www.ps3trophies.org/forum/infamous-2/191803-endgame-xp-trick-great-power-trophy-using-99-cent-dlc-current-fast.html
