Road Map:

Step 1: Complete the game on Hard
To begin, jump right into the game and select Hard difficulty. Hard isn't particularly taxing, but there may be a few tough spots. Just remember to stay in cover and take your time, as there is no rush to get through the game. All story trophies as well as a few extras will be unlocked in this playthrough. I managed to obtain the Defeated 1000 Enemies trophy just about ten minutes before completing the game, so it should be obtained in this playthrough, as long as you kill every enemy you come across. The trophy Reached Level 20 should be unlocked as well. Completing the game on Hard will net you the Order of the Phoenix Recruit trophy.

Step 2: Complete the game on Medium
Unfortunately, the difficutly trophies do not stack, so you have to start your second playthrough, this time on the Medium difficulty. It should be easy since you just managed to beat the game on Hard. Just concentrate on beating the game all the way through on this playthrough, and don't worry about the other trophies. Beating Medium difficulty will earn you Auror Material.

Step 3: Complete the game on Easy/Extra story trophies
For the last playthrough of the game, make sure that you select Easy difficulty. Easy is a breeze, so you will want to use this playthrough to concentrate on trophies such as Expert Aim, From Under the Cloak, and the six collectible trophies for collecting Daily Prophets, Quibblers, and Potterwatch Passwords. Once you finish this playthrough, you should unlock Defender against the Dark Arts and also have all remaining story mode trophies and only be missing the challenge trophies.

Step 4: Online Challenges
Only four trophies plus platinum should remain. These are First Showing, Comprehensive Showing, Survivalist, and Friendly Rivals. I suggest trying Hard Challenge #5 to get the Survivalist trophy, as it is the easiest Hard-level challenge to complete at a five star level. Simply play through all fifteen challenges (five each for Easy, Medium, and Hard) to obtain the First Showing and Comprehensive Showing trophies. Lastly, compare your score on any challenge with somebody on your friends list (press the button whilst accessing one of the challenges to compare just between your friends and you) to obtain the final trophy, Friendly Rivals. After that pops, you should have your platinum trophy, Merlin First Class Candidate. Congratulations!

[PS3T Would Like to Thank Hoagie324 for this Roadmap]

After a little while, you will come to the cave entrance and make it outside, and the trophy will pop after completing the level.

Wand-master
Use every spell in the game successfully at least once.

To earn this trophy, all you have to do is hit an enemy with each spell successfully at least once. There is a total of eleven spells- eight on the spell wheel, two mapped to the button, and one mapped to the button.

The following spells must all be successfully used:
-Stupefy
-Expelliarmus
-Petrificus Totalus
-Confundo
-Confringo
-Impedimenta
-Expulso
-Protego
-Expecto Patronum
-Four-Points
-Wiingardium Leviosa

This trophy also MUST be done in a single playthrough to work. No worries though, as it can be earned as soon as you obtain the Confringo spellbook in the Goblin's Revenge level.

Liquid Experience
Use all available potions in the game successfully.

This trophy is fairly easy to get. The Elixir of Life is somewhat hard to discover, but can still be found easily, as the potions that enemies drop are randomized. You must use each of the four potions assigned to the ,, and buttons (by successfully hitting an enemy with it), as well as drink every potion enemies drop on the ground, totaling eleven potions overall. You must drink all of the drinkable potions and use the four equippable potions.

The following potions must be successfully used:
-Garrotting Gas
-Doxycide
-Exploding Potion
-Peruvian Instant Darkness Powder
-Felix Felicis
-Strengthening Solution
-Fire-Protection Potion
-Murtlap Essence
-Blood Replenishing Potion
-Elixir of Life
-Polyjuice Potion

This trophy also MUST be done in a single playthrough to work. No worries though, as I got it before the game was half over.

Confusion Reigns
Cast Confundo to cause an opponent to defeat other enemies.

This is a simple trophy, only needing you to cast one spell. To cast Confundo, bring up the spell wheel by holding . Use the left stick to manuever to the spell you want, Confundo. Aim at an enemy with the button, and cast the spell when it has targeted the enemy with . Note that the enemy under the Confundus charm must defeat at least one enemy for the trophy to pop.

Got it Covered!
Cast Wingdarium Leviosa to create cover against incoming spells.

This trophy is also simple. Using the same spell wheel method from Confusion Reigns, select Wingardium Leviosa instead. There will be a point in the game where the game basically teaches you to do this, which is an easy place to get the trophy. However, if you somehow miss it there, just target an item with the button and pick it up with . Use the left stick to move the item, and block spells with it. The trophy will pop soon thereafter.

A Strong Shield
20 Protego deflects.

This trophy is very easy to get, especially since each spell an enemy casts counts as a deflect. To use Protego, simply hold down and a transparent shield-type thing will appear. Just deflect 20 enemy spells and the trophy will pop.

Quibbler Collector
Collect half of all the copies of The Quibbler.

See Avid Quibbler Collector

Avid Quibbler Collector
Collect all the copies of The Quibbler.

Just collect all Quibbler copies throughout the game, of which there are fifteen.

If you are having troubles locating the collectibles, please refer to this post.

Daily Prophet Reader
Collect half of all the copies of the Daily Prophet.

See Daily Prophet Subscriber

Daily Prophet Subscriber
Collect all the copies of the Daily Prophet.

Collect all Prophets in the game. There are fifteen in total.

If you are having troubles locating the collectibles, please refer to this post.

Wizard's Wireless Listener

Wizard's Wireless Wizard
Collect all the Potterwatch passwords.

There are twelve Potterwatch passwords to collect in-game. Simply collect all twelve to obtain the trophy.

The leveling trophies are all very easy to achieve and understand. Leveling is done rather quickly in this game. Points to level up can be earned by defeating enemies, collecting prophets, quibblers and potterwatch passwords, or finding deathly hallows symbols. I was able to reach level 20 well before the game ended, and made it to about level 25 or 26 if I recall correctly. This should come naturally during gameplay, especially on Hard mode.

Defeated 100 Enemies

Defeat 1000 enemies in Story Mode.

Through the story mode, just kill every enemy you come across. This particular trophy should be earned very close to the end of the game. I earned mine about ten minutes before the game came to a close. If you miss this trophy during one playthrough, it does carry through to additional playthroughs. Just keep defeating enemies and you will recieve all other defeat trophies as well as this one.

Ron's Saviour
Defeat 35 Acromantula.

This trophy will naturally come through the game. You will most likely get it during the level when you first encounter acromantulas. However, if you do not earn it there, you will sometime later in the game, as there are well over 35 acromantulas in the game.

Expert Aim
50 quick Stuns.

This trophy really doesn't explain what a quick stun is, but the concept is very easy. To get this trophy, all you have to do is defeat fifty enemies with headshots. The aiming in this game is a bit of a pain, but keep pressing to aim until the aiming reticule snaps to the head. Then, fire away with ! Note that the enemy DOES have to be defeated for the stun to count.

From Under the Cloak
50 stealthy Stuns. (1)

This trophy is earned by stunning and defeating enemies while under your cloak. To 'stealth' stun an enemy, simply put on the invisibility cloak with . Then, walk up to an enemy. Walk close enough to where your spell will hit him, but not close enough to give yourself away. When you are close enough, hold the button to cast Protego. The enemy will (most of the time) fall down and disapparate. Repeat this 49 times and the trophy will pop. Note that this is cumulative throughout different playthroughs.

First Showing
Post a result online for a Challenge for your Friends to compare.

Simply complete any challenge under the "Online Challenges" tab to earn this trophy. MAKE SURE that you are doing online challenges and not local, otherwise you will not get the trophy.

Comprehensive Showing
Post a result online for every Challenge for your Friends to compare.

This trophy is basically exactly as same as the previous one, except you have to complete all 15 online challenges to obtain it. There are five challenges in each difficulty, and all have to be completed with a result to get this trophy. Most of the challenges are easy to understand, but some can be a pain. Just perservere and remember to use cover and you will succeed.

Survivalist
Get a 5 star rating on any Hard Challenge! (1)

This trophy sounds really tough, but it actually is not too bad to achieve. I found the last Hard Challenge (the silent sneaking one where you have to sneak to the Ministry of Magic toilets) to be the easiest one to do to get this trophy.

Just play it and be careful not to bump into anybody. When you enter under the columns just after crossing the street, a woman will be there with her back turned to you. Hide in the corner behind and to the left of the woman and take off your cloak with . Use the spell wheel ( hold and ) and select Confundo. Hit the woman with the spell (aim with and cast with ).

Immediately put your invisibility cloak back on and go past the woman, through the narrow tunnel into the courtyard. Go near where the Death Eaters are standing guard, and sneak behind them into another short tunnel. Turn right and continue in the middle of the street. Then, simply go down the stairs into the bathroom to complete the challenge! Be fast though, as it must be done in under 45 seconds.

Friendly Rivals
Compare your ranking on any Challenge with a Friend on your Friends list. (4)

This trophy is a very easy one, so long as you have a friend that has this game and has done the challenges. To get this trophy, ensure you have a friend that has this game, or create a duplicate PSN account and just complete one challenge on the alternate account. MAKE SURE to add that account as a friend! Go to the main menu and into challenges, then to "Online Leaderboards". Select the challlenge you know both your friend and yourself have done, and press the button to compare with friends only. Scroll up to your friend, and the trophy should pop.

Defender against the Dark Arts
Complete on Easy.

You will earn this trophy when you complete the game on Easy difficutly. Difficulty trophies do not stack in this game, so you have to play on Easy difficulty to unlock this trophy.

Auror Material
Complete on Medium.

You will earn this trophy when you complete the game on Medium difficutly. Difficulty trophies do not stack in this game, so you have to play on Medium difficulty to unlock this trophy.

Order of the Phoenix Recruit
Completed on Hard.

You will earn this trophy when you complete the game on Hard difficutly. Difficulty trophies do not stack in this game, so you have to play on Hard difficulty to unlock this trophy. I did not find Hard difficulty to be particularly taxing. However, when playing, just make sure that you use cover whenever possible and try to go for headshots on the enemies. This will take them out faster and make Hard difficulty much easier. There may be a few places that you get stuck, but Hard difficulty is pretty much a breeze on this game once you understand the feel of the game.
