This is not glitched, but only unique colours count.
A good way to keep track is to sort the colours by count, and subtract the extra colours
from the total count (so if you have, say, 14 of one colour you'd subtract 13 from the total count).
And yes, until you've made a car your active car you won't get its colour.
Quickest way -- and cheapest -- to get this trophy is definitely through a combination of playing
daily (you'll get 5-10 colours/day) and seasonal events where you can win colours. |

If you have the money you can go to the playstation store and buy paints on the store i think they come in sets of 100 for about a dollar to three dollars |

#2 is right, when I bought the Complete DLC in the store, I won the trophy after I installed the Color pack. |

Something strange happened to me. I put the game in and got the paint for logging in but no trophy. I looked at how much paint I had (261) and scrolled down because I wanted to see all the paint colours. I thought to myself that I wasn't getting this trophy so I went to the used dealership (for the 300,000km car trophy). Didn't find any cars so I when back to gt life and the trophy popped. |
