Sphere Breaker Trophy in Final Fantasy X-2 HD

  • Sphere Breaker

Win 10 times at Sphere Break

    How to unlock Sphere Breaker

This trophy is unlocked after winning at Sphere Break ten times. Sphere Break opponents can be played against in the Blitzball locker room halls at Luca, and during the Sphere Break tournament in Chapter 3. The easiest way to win at Sphere Break is to continuously use one Entry Coin and one Border Coin to create the multiple, thus increasing your Echo bonuses and getting more and more bonus points each round. The only way you can lose the game is if a Core Number of 1 comes up and breaks your combo.

If you need help at Sphere Break, use the Sphere Break Decoder on Joran's Homepage.

  • You will get this trophy if you decide to get all the dress spheres,as you need to win the sphere break tournament for lady luck.
  • I suck at this game by first play hope I can do it better this time
  • 10 TIMES????!!!! I CAN BARELY WON TWO F****** TIMES!!! AND YOU ASK 10 TIMES, MY ASS IF YOU THINK THAT I'M GOING TO EVEN TRY!!!
  • I played for days before I realised how to play and win the tournament... If only I could remember.
  • i LOATHE this game during the tournament. Shinra ALWAYs asks for very difficult requiremengts which tends to break the combo often
  • wonder if the practice board counts for this...
  • @#6, yup it does. This was the first time I'd tried Sphere Break so I kept practising until I understood what I was doing a bit better and it popped.
  • I HATE Sphere Break, so with a little research I found a calculator. http://www.ds.arch.tue.nl/joran/Default.menu?menu=ff This download is super easy to use, and allowed me to beat Shinra first try without practicing at all. If anyone just wants the trophy with the glory, here ya go.
  • Here's how I easily won with virtually no difficulty! Each turn, do a 2-coin combo. The quota will start off slow, but build really high and fast by the 5th turn!!
  • You can grind out easy wins with the tutorial guy (little person with the beak hat) within Chapter 1. Just go through his tutorials then you'll be able to practice play with him as much as you want which counts towards this trophy.
  • For those using Joran's Sphere Break calculator - I made an adjustment. While it all worked well, I got frustrated with entering in all the coin values in that one text field turn after turn... So I decompiled the .jar and made some changes. I made it so that you can edit the coin values by clicking on them in the UI and also added a button down the bottom "Increment Border Coins" which does just that. I found it much easier to use personally! Used it last night to beat the Sphere Break player that gets unlocked by doing creature creator (Has a quota of 500) with absolutely no problem. Can't guarantee that it's entirely bug free, but if it is give a yell. Updated version here: https://www.dropbox.com/s/jkezt2fmkcgz0o1/SphereBreak-1.1.jar I would send this to Joran, but I couldn't fin
  • It also builds on New Game +. I unlocked the trophy during the tournament in chapter 3. So if you're planning on doing New Game +, don't bother trying to grind this trophy out your first go.
  • somehow this is my last trophy lol
  • It's really easy, trick is to try and use the same number of coins all the time. quick video of beating shinra in 7 turns.. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zHknOi-XECk if you watch this you'll see I only really use 2 or 3 outer coins a turn but end up getting huge bonuses in turns 5 6 and 7 pushing me 8 over the amount I needed to win.
  • If you guys are struggling with this trophy (or the Elites), try out this tool: http://mbinette91.github.io/ffx2-sphere-break/
  • I was surprised that I was able to beat Shinra on my first try. It was pretty intense. Getting ten wins in this is going to be easy!
  • Yup. Easiest Final Fantasy minigame ever.
