When an Infected is running towards you, if you time your swing correctly and aim for the head, it'll decapitate them instantly. It must be 5 in a row and you can't kill any walkers in between these kills. You can also join a low level friend who is just starting out when you are much higher leveled. The lower level zombies will die in 1 hit from a powerful weapon.

Once you get your hands on a hammer, the best place I have seen to do this is on the winding road leading to the lighthouse. Go for zombies that are by themselves if possible. Simply do a running jump kick at them to take them down and then pummel them with your hammer. You can't get hit at all (even while you're in a car) in the 15 in a row you kill, so be careful.

This trophy is pretty much impossible to miss if you go through the game regularly and do most of the side quests. If for some reason you don't have this, the jungle is a good place to find human enemies.

Once you have a molotov in your inventory, head to Moresby. When you exit the Church, take a right out the gate and go straight and then take another right. You should see a ton of zombies here. Get all of their attention, make sure there are 10 trying to attack you and throw the molotov. If there are more than 10, take them out with a gun. It's been said it must be 10 exactly. Also, if they start walking away from you, you can shoot them once with your pistol and they will turn around. You can also use Meat Bait to keep them grouped together.

You are going to use the same tactic for this that you did with the molotov only using your gun. Make sure you have plenty of ammo and a decent pistol/shotgun that can take them out with a few bullets to the head.

Another one that is pretty much impossible to miss. In the beginning you'll be changing weapons quite often since they break easy. The dead island wiki has a list of melee weapons: Melee Weapon - Dead Island Wiki

Blunt melee weapons are things such as pipes, hammers, baseball bats, batons, etc... Sam B is a blunt specialist but your other 3 play throughs with the other characters counts towards this trophy so don't worry about not getting it in your 1st play through.

Edged melee weapons are knifes, axes, swords, etc... Xian is the edge specialist but your other 3 play throughs with the other characters counts towards this trophy so don't worry about not getting it in your 1st play through

Pistols, shotgun and rifles count towards this trophy. Purna is the firearms specialist but your other 3 play throughs with the other characters counts towards this trophy so don't worry about not getting it in your 1st play through

Best to do early on in the game. Just use to bring up your weapons and equip your fists. Sam B's rage will also count towards this trophy

You will be able to create weapon mods when you obtain mod blueprints which are found through the game randomly and through quests. During the game you can go to a workbench and repair, upgrade or create. Go to create and things you can make will be listed in white. You create by using a weapon you have and the ingredients you have been picking up around Banoi. You can farm this by buying duct tape and deodorant and making deo-bombs constantly.

You'll be driving many vehicles through act I; just run over a zombie whenever you see one while driving. This will unlock through natural progression.

You must use a grenade for this and not a deo-bomb. You find grenades through the game, but the easiest place I have seen is when you do the Vargass side quest in the Jungle. There will be 3 grenades by you during the fight with him. Save one and when you come across an Infected (not a walker) jump kick them to the ground and throw the grenade by them.

You'll get this through natural story progression. There will be a lot of driving in act I. Any car you drive around counts toward this.

These weapons are orange and must be found in chests or dropped by enemies. Logan (Scavenger) and Purna (Jackpot) have a skill in their tree that increases your chances of finding one. This trophy is completely RANDOM, so it is just the luck of the chests. I personally found 2 my 1st play through and 3 my 2nd play through. You can farm this since whenever you go to a new map the chests will respawn.

If you aim for arms or legs, you will be able to sever them off. The better the edged weapon the easier to sever.

There are 72 locations to be found in Banoi. Explore every green part on your map and do every side quest you can. You need to be at 57/72 right before you leave for the Prison, as there are 15 locations there.

Note: This trophy could be glitched. There is a theory that the 72nd area might be the Bloodbath DLC. Even though you don't have to buy the DLC, you would still be able to visit the location thus giving you the 72nd location. The DLC will be out later this month. The butcher first appears in act 3, the jungle. He will be very fast, very aggressive and have boney nubs for hands. You can weaken him with other weapons, just make sure the final blow is with an axe.

Rams are first found in act 2, Moresby. Sam B has this skill in his combat tree. When the ram charges, dodge and attack him in his back until he has very low health. Then when he misses again just keep using Sam B's tackle skill to kill the Ram.

During the game you'll come across medium and large medkits on the map and through vendors. Just use them 100 times throughout your play throughs to unlock this.

You will need to change the fighting controls from digital to analog in the main menu before you start your game. Instead of having to just press a button to swing, you will be swinging with the . Hold to aim and use the from left to right or up to down to swing your weapon. I preferred to do this right away when the zombies are weak.

You must complete act I(not chapter I) with all 4 characters. To do this the quickest way possible, just do the main quests on your 3 other play throughs. You can start as many characters as you want, you won't lose progress on any of them.

NOTE: I had this trophy glitch on me. I played through all 4 characters and Logan's name never disappeared off the list in game. I started up a new game, but started on chapter 4. After I finished chapter 4, the trophy popped.

I advise doing all the side quests on your main play through. If you do, this will unlock before you get to act 4. If you don't do the side quests, your 3 play throughs of act I will count towards this.

To reach level 50, you will need 3,008,316 total XP. To do this legit would take you 3 full play throughs of the same character. Luckily there is a glitch that can aid in you this process. You can duplicate diamonds at any time so long as you have them in your inventory this way:

If he isn't selling oleander, then try the overpass camp vendor and the lighthouse vendor. Both sell it. If all 3 aren't selling it, then do 1 side quest or wander around for a little bit and try again. Do the oleander trick as soon as you get into the laboratory because once Chapter 15 starts, he will be dead.

Note: you can also duplicate the best weapon you have to sell to the vendor. To duplicate simply equip the weapon, hit to aim and to throw, as soon as you throw before the weapon hits the ground, press on the d-pad and drop the same weapon you threw. When you close the menu, you will have the weapon you threw and the same weapon you just dropped. **This is the method I preferred because I knew the game was saving my progress since I was playing offline.**

Suiciders are the exploding zombies you come across. They first appear in the Black Hawk Down quest in act I. Deo-bombs work with this trophy along with regular grenades and red gas tanks. Just throw one at their feet but make sure the Suicider doesn't explode on its own before your explosive goes off.

Throughout the game, you will get to doors that don't open right away. When you get prompted to move the down, hit up on the when it's in the red middle portion. This will have you break through on your first try. There are plenty of opportunities to get this trophy.

Collectibles are Personal IDs, Fact Books, Tape Recordings and Weapon Mods. There are, I believe, 140 total collectibles, not including the Mods. All of these are usually in Huts/Buildings. Just be thorough in your search. Weapon Mods you find on quests overlap, so the same Mod can count multiple times on different play throughs. Also, on your act I play through with the 3 characters you didn't pick already, the collectibles you find here will all respawn and count toward your total.

Certain mods will give you fire or electricity damage to your weapon. You will find the blueprints by doing side quests. Simply mod a weapon with one of these and it will unlock.

While playing, make sure you are set to PSN and not LAN. When you are playing you are given the opportunity to join players close to you. You can also invite or get invited by your PSN friends.

Each character has a meter on the upper left of the screen that fills up red with their Fury. Once that is full, unleash on a group of zombies. Sam B uses his fists, Xian uses a sword, Purna uses her gun and Logan using throwing knifes.

Same as the Need a Hand trophy except you need to stay with them for at least 15 minutes.

This will be a little tricky to do unless you have PSN friends. Use the provided Co-Op partner thread to find players. Co-op Partners Thread

The 4 playable characters are Sam B, Xian, Purna and Logan. The team of 4 must consist of 1 of each of these characters. A quest doesn't need to be completed. Use the Co-Op thread to find partners.

This must be completed in a single game session. Any 5 quests will do so long as you are with the same person(s) the entire time.

This one is cumulative so you don't have to do this in 1 sitting. Just make sure you complete 25 side/main quests with the same PSN friend(s).

This one is really easy, just choose any arena (make sure you are playing co-op)and once the game starts the trophy shall be yours. If you are having trouble finding a partner look here.

This trophy is cumulative, so you don't have to kill 5 enemies at once you can do it multiple times. An easy way to do this is to throw meat bait near an explosive barrel then throw a molotov near the enemies and it should create a giant explosion. You could also do this with grenades and deo-bombs. Once you kill 5 total enemies that are on fire with explosives the trophy shall be yours.

You can do this in separate playthroughs; you just have to make sure you survive a total of 5 waves in which you only use your fists and legs. The best way to achieve this is to try in Arena A (easy). It shouldn't be too difficult and if you are a high level it should take one shot to kill the enemies with your fists and legs as the enemies are at lower levels.

The description can be misleading, to get this trophy you will have to kill a walker, an infected, suicider, ram, floater and a butcher in one game, it DOESN'T have to be done in a single wave.

NOTE: This trophy can ONLY be obtained by doing this in Arena C (Hard) as the Ram only appears in that arena. Thanks to kakihara301 for the tip.

These are the waves in which I first saw the different types of enemies playing in Arena C.

Note: They may not spawn in the same waves but they should appear around those numbers so look out for them. If you are playing co-op and don't see one of them, one of your partners may have killed them already.

You will just have to survive at least 5 waves in each of the 4 arenas (A, B, C, and D).

First make sure you have your controls set to analog, to do this press , go to options and under controls change the fight type to analog. This one can be difficult if you are not familiar with the analog controls. This will be easier if you try Arena A (easy) as the enemies are much weaker and it should take one or two shots to kill the enemies if you have strong weapons or if you are at a high level. A good way to do this if you don't like using the analog controls or find it too difficult is to use some firearms (aiming and shooting is the same as digital). Strong pistols are especially useful because if you have the Pistol Ammo Blueprint you can keep making ammo if you have 2x Metal Scrap and Bleach in the workbench. You can play with partners and make them do most of the killing in the first few waves, you just have to make sure that you do not die once for 15 straight waves. Use this thread here to find partners.

You can play the same Arena with each of the characters; you just have to make sure you get to and complete wave 15, or at least survive 15 waves in a row with each of the 4 characters. If you are having trouble, try this in Arena A, and look here to try it with a boosting partner if you need help.

Before entering the arena make sure you have at least two custom weapons (more weapons is recommended so you don’t have to waste money to keep repairing them), one of which should be a firearm to kill the suiciders and you should last at least 10 waves. You have to make sure you use nothing but these weapons so you can’t use your fury, normal weapons and you cannot kick or punch. If an enemy jumps on you, (where you are required to press then ) that is allowed. If you are using a custom firearm weapon, you have to be careful and not shoot the flammable barrels, as if they blow up and kill an enemy the streak will reset.

This one can be challenging as you have to survive 30 straight waves with another player (so both of you cannot die). Make sure you have a lot of strong weapons and a lot of health kits to repair your health when it gets low. Save your grenades, deo-bombs, molotovs and most importantly use your fury to get through those large crowds or when you get in trouble. You may want to stock up on a lot of grenades, deo-bombs (2x deodorant, duct tape), meat bait (3x meat, bleach), pistol ammo (2x metal scrap, bleach) and large & medium medkits to give you a better chance at survival. You have to be careful when a suicider appears because they can kill if you are too close. To take them out throw a weapon or use a firearm to take them out. Bring a lot of money as well so that you can repair your weapons/upgrade your weapon if they are damaged. This may be easier to do with 4 players, if you are having trouble, look here for help.

If you go for “Morituri te salutant” you will also get this trophy. Some useful tips are to bring a lot of health kits, the enemies will give you some but you are going to need a few. Strong weapons are needed as they kill the enemies’ faster, try to find or use durable weapons so that you don’t have to keep repairing them in the workbench. Firearms are really useful but ammo can be hard to find, so use it wisely, mainly on the suiciders. This one might be easier to do with partners, look here for help.
