Quick Overview
Borderlands is a RPS(Role-Playing Shooter). It has similarities to Diablo, World of Warcraft for its Role-playing elements, and first-person shooters such as Call of Duty and Killzone. You're skill as a FPS gamer is the skill you will have in the game. So your critical hits are not based on skill points, as they are based on skills of shooting enemies in their weak spots. You will have a skill tree. I suggest planning out what you want before you actually start putting points on there. There is a "reset skill points" option, but it does cost in-game money. The online is up to 4-players and loads of fun, as you can also locally play with a friend in split-screen.

Good luck all of you Trophy Hunters!
-----------------------------------------------------

Road to Platinum

Step One: Finish Quests on First Playthrough
Go through the storyline and finish all quests, including side quests, on your first playthrough. This will help you with the leveling trophies, the Boss trophies, and ofcourse the Quest trophies.

Step Two: Clean-Up
Make sure to get the miscellaneous trophies. If you don't get one, such as the Claptrap one, than its going to get a bit confusing when you go through your second playthrough and not sure of the one you're missing.

Step Three: Use Co-Op
You will need to use Co-Op some to get some trophies. You can use Split-Screen to do this, but Online will also count. When doing Co-Op, all can be done on Split-Screen except the viral trophy '...And They'll Tell Two Friends.'.

Step Four: Level, Level, Level.
You will need to grind leveling MASSIVELY to get the level 50 trophy. You will be in the 30-35 when you finish the first playthrough most likely, and you should start on the second playthrough. You can always check the Trophy Boosting thread to get someone who is already level 50 to bring you through harder areas for you to level quickly. __________________

Now just headshot the other character till it dies, and the trophy will pop-up. If you do not have a second controller, play with someone online, but make sure they are the same level or below your level. If they are a high level, you will not be able to kill them fast.

Braaaaaaaaaaaaains!Silver Trophy
Completed the 'Braaaaaaaaaaaaains!' mission

This is the most time consuming trophy in the game, though it can be made easy if you start the quest the first chance you get. This quest is the fifth of a series of a quests, which task you to obtain 10, 25, 50, 100 and 250 brains each. Brains are dropped by zombies if you kill them with a headshot.

To activate this quest, you need to go to Hallow's End (which you will go to for the House of The Ned mission) Once there, open your map and scroll to the south west corner. You will see two little clearings set apart from the main area. The south one is where you need to start the quest. Walk over there, killing enemies in your way (do NOT pick up their brains now!), and you will see a familiar object from the main story. Pick it up, go inside the shack and give it to an old friend from the main story. You can now accept the Brains! quests from him.

One thing to keep in mind while doing this is that brains do not carry over between the quests. For example, if you need to turn in 10 brains, but have collected 15 brains and turn them in, he will take ALL your brains and you'll start at 0 on the next quest, even though you had 5 extra. As such, its best to leave brains on the ground if you've already collected the required number of brains for the current quest. You can always return and pick up the brains- they won't disappear, unless you quit the game.

A good tip is to use the shotgun for headshots. Try not to use elemental weapons, as the last hit might be elemental damage, and not the headshot, and you won't get a brain.

Killed Ned...sort of.
Story related, cannot miss.

You need to beat the "Night of the Living Ned" quest for this trophy. The way to Dr. Ned's Mill is straightforward. Just proceed towards the waypoint, and enter the mill. Go through the long corridor, and you will find Ned at the end of it. Killing him is really easy- he only has a weak pistol, and the same amount of health as a typical Raider. Bring out one of your SMGs or Combat Rifles and bring him down with a string of headshots.

Ned's Undead, Baby, Ned's UndeadGold Trophy
Killed Ned. Again.

Story related, cannot miss.

You need to beat the "Ned's Undead, Baby" quest for this trophy. This quest begins at the end of the last one. You might be a little confused as to how to go about this one- after killind Ned, go forward, down the stairs, and you'll see a hole in the ground. Drop into it, and you'll reach a large arena where you'll fight Dr. Ned, zombified. He is much tougher this time around, with a larger amount of health. His first attack will be to walk towards you and swipe at you- this is easily dodged. Later in the fight, he will summon Psychos to fight you- dispatch any which are close to you, then turn your attention back to Ned. Ned will also disappear into the ground, pop up beside you, and slash you. The only way to avoid this is to keep moving, and to keep an eye on the red dot on your radar which tells you where he currently is. After you've taken out the majority of his health, he will start spinning, and rush at you. Be sure to dodge this at all costs, since it takes away a chunk of your shield/health.

To deal damage to Ned, use a good automatic weapon, and go for headshots. A shotgun also works well, because of Ned's large size. He also appears to be particularly susceptible to fire damage.
