| Comment #1 by ThFlsh03 Wednesday, October 19, 2011 @ 02:32:58 PM Obviously this has something to do with the static filled list of number close to frequency 673 & 511 542 & 865 I found these while I was in Sionis Steel mill in case location has anything to do with it. Anyways When you count out the numbers (minus their repeats...also take out numbers that are in the repeated from first list into second list) and both lists total 11 numbers in each. So far all I have on this...if I get this before someone else I'll be sure to post it on here. | |
| Comment #2 by ThFlsh03 Wednesday, October 19, 2011 @ 10:34:13 PM Wow, I'm completely wrong...those numbers have to do with something else apparently. Locate Calendar Man in the basement below the courthouse. Remember this location because right next to his cell is a calendar...which I suggest you set reminders on your cell phone or whatever...because you have to play the game (well visit Calendar Man at least) on each of these days IN REAL TIME...as in on Halloween (which is the first date) you must talk to him and the next is Thanksgiving, Christmas, etc. (he enjoys killing on holidays if you didn't already know). But then again you could just cheat, go offline, and change the clock to each date........I'd prefer to do it normally and if I miss a date I'll cheat. | |
| Comment #3 by ProjectXii Thursday, October 20, 2011 @ 09:25:39 PM Confirmed. You'll either need to wait an entire year to earn this trophy, by logging into the game every month and speaking to Calendar Man, or do what everyone else does and change the clock on your PS3 manually. Clever trophy, I must say. | |
| Comment #4 by ProjectXii Thursday, October 20, 2011 @ 09:37:49 PM Also, it needs to be the specific date of the holiday. Otherwise he'll only give you hints. You'll know when you're having a "date", as Calendar Man will walk over to the glass and tell a story, much longer then his usual two sentence conversations. | |
| Comment #5 by ThFlsh03 Thursday, October 20, 2011 @ 10:34:48 PM They're probably tales of his rather gruesome exploits of the various holidays' meanings/celebrations. I can only imagine how people will react to his Mother's/Father's Day stories. | |
| Comment #6 by 398744 Saturday, October 22, 2011 @ 12:47:09 AM In case anyone needs it the dates are: January 1st (New Years Day) February 14th (Valentines Day) March 17th (St. Patrick's Day) April 1st (April Fools Day) May 13th 2012 (or May 8th 2011) (Mothers Day) (Be sure to adjust the year) June 19th 2011 (Father's Day) (Be sure to adjust the year) July 4th (Independence Day) August 16th (Feast Day of Saint Roch) September 5th (Labor Day) October 31st (Halloween) November 24th 2011 (Thanksgiving) (Be sure to adjust the year) December 25th (Christmas) | |
| Comment #7 by gr8asianman Saturday, October 22, 2011 @ 03:16:42 PM I just wanted to say the dates above were right on the money. Thanks! This was a bit more labor intensive than I thought. | |
| Comment #8 by BaSHee26 Sunday, October 23, 2011 @ 07:40:04 AM how can this be done without changing clock as one date is june 19th 2011 and weve passed it, so youd have to change clock to get this trophy | |
| Comment #9 by yourmom78839 Sunday, October 23, 2011 @ 11:34:00 AM @8 No you can go to him on father's day in 2012. I'm pretty sure it will adjust. | |
| Comment #10 by Hudder368 Sunday, October 23, 2011 @ 03:46:03 PM This didn't work. I did the exact dates. When I go to load my save it says "January 1st 2011". I always let hi finish, press the middle button and adjust the date | |
| Comment #11 by Hudder368 Sunday, October 23, 2011 @ 05:10:35 PM I tried this and it doesn't work. I went to him,and nothing popped up after it. Am I suppose to do it in 2012,or do I let the game save before I go and change date? | |
| Comment #12 by coyoteduster Sunday, October 23, 2011 @ 05:23:05 PM Pretty clever trophy. | |
| Comment #13 by rtruest Sunday, October 23, 2011 @ 05:27:35 PM On the right of his cell is a calendar board...with ALL 12 required dates highlighted. These dates are all for 2012. It's important to note the game NEEDS to save in order for it to register. Once it does, the months on the board will be scratched off for each one you knock out. Take the door on the right as you leave the basement, it'll save just as you exit the building, and is then quick access to return. Exit game, change date, rinse repeat. | |
| Comment #14 by rtruest Sunday, October 23, 2011 @ 05:39:26 PM CORRECTION: The required dates do adjust. The calendar board will show the dates according to the year you have your machine set to. As long as you have the correct date for that date you're all set. Kudos to Rocksteady! | |
| Comment #15 by xHusHx Sunday, October 23, 2011 @ 09:20:15 PM I have a question about this trophy, (SPOILER warning). At the end of the game (both Catwoman's and Batman's) the courthouse is in ruins. Does anybody know a way into the courthouse, or do I have to start another game file just to go for this trophy? I figured I'd ask this a week before Halloween hoping somebody can figure this out by then. Thanks! | |
| Comment #16 by wolfheart Monday, October 24, 2011 @ 01:46:54 AM #15 You'll have to do it in New Game +, or start a new game. I did the same thing where I didn't look in to it until the end of the game, and also there's a riddle relating to him as well so that's missable too unless you do it in a new game or New Game + | |
| Comment #17 by Hagane Monday, October 24, 2011 @ 01:52:45 AM No, There's a backstage gate when the main gate is burned, is right behind the courthouse, in the map enter the courthouse and look the other side, search in the city the smal enytrance, is in an alley and glows orange. | |
| Comment #18 by xHusHx Tuesday, October 25, 2011 @ 01:06:10 PM #16 I accidentally solved the riddle when I first saw him, so there was a little luck there. #17 Thanks, I found the door. I don't know why, but I looked in the back in Detective Mode and for some reason I must've just missed it. Thanks guys. | |
| Comment #19 by mikeschmeee Tuesday, October 25, 2011 @ 10:50:37 PM I just got this trophy, it's so easy. There are two ways of getting this trophy but first find Calender Man. He is located at the bottom level of the Courthouse. 1) Doing it the long way which is turning on your PS3 and playing the game on the specific dates. OR 2) Leave the Courthouse via the back door and you will notice the autosave. Quit the game, go back to the PS3 menu and change the date, example 10/31/2011. Now, go back to playing Batman: AC, go back into the Courthouse via the back door and talk to Calender Man. Go back up the stairs and out of the Courthouse via the back door and the game will save. Quit the game and go back to the PS3 menu to change the date again. | |
| Comment #20 by mikeschmeee Tuesday, October 25, 2011 @ 10:52:53 PM There is also a calender right beside his cell which has specific 2011 dates that are circled. Those are the dates you need to visit and talk to Calender Man in order to get this trophy. It's pretty easy. Also, the listen to the things he says, man that guy is nuts! | |
| Comment #21 by TsTr Sunday, October 30, 2011 @ 06:32:01 AM Its like WoW - you need to login every month but its still nice trophy ;) | |
| Comment #22 by knieveljaja Monday, October 31, 2011 @ 09:03:09 PM i guess i'll have to cheat for it. i would do it the long way, but won't be home on half the dates...so yeah. | |
| Comment #23 by OldSkewlPantz Tuesday, November 01, 2011 @ 12:01:51 AM its a nice touch that the months are crossed out after you talk to him on that month too | |
| Comment #24 by Adonai- Friday, November 11, 2011 @ 05:27:33 PM Save didn't glitch, I'm happy to say. Changed the dates, popped the trophy then changed it back to today & reopened - all good. Saved & quit, and my save showed the current date again. Did just install patch 1.02, so maybe they've fixed the problem. Or I'm just lucky :) | |
| Comment #25 by coyoteduster Friday, November 18, 2011 @ 07:42:02 PM I think I'll do this one the long way. I don't mind. | |
| Comment #26 by erdvilla Thursday, November 24, 2011 @ 09:34:04 AM I didn't knew about this guy until I started collecting Riddle trophies and if you look at the date I'm posting this comment its Thanksgiving day XD Thats why I decided to check the trophy guide and realized about the dates. | |
| Comment #27 by erdvilla Sunday, November 27, 2011 @ 04:11:24 PM Took me 35 minutes to switch date, enter game, talk, save, exit, switch date... But at least is faster than waiting a full year and isn't server dependent as Crysis 2 (wich is highly glitched and I was lucky enough to get Platinum already). I don't know why devs do this type of trophies, its just stupid. It would be fun if the trophy was "Have 2 dates with Calendar man" but not a whole entire holiday year. | |
| Comment #28 by MeccaFlare0 Tuesday, December 13, 2011 @ 12:50:10 PM does anyone know if he tells a story to catwoman if i were to visit him on these dates | |
| Comment #29 by racquet Wednesday, December 21, 2011 @ 05:43:14 PM doin this LEGIT. Starting in 4 days :) | |
| Comment #30 by Zantirs Friday, December 23, 2011 @ 02:07:18 PM Does this have to been done in order, or can i go example christmas now then all the others and then new years day and still get the trophy? | |
| Comment #31 by clashrogers Tuesday, December 27, 2011 @ 10:41:21 AM I managed to get the trophy and avoided the glitch. The best to do it is not change the date on the PS3 in one day, do like 3 or 4 dates and come back the next day rinse repeat and...Bingo! That's one trophy out of the way. | |
| Comment #32 by Youngblaise Thursday, December 29, 2011 @ 04:18:55 PM this is my last trophy till platinum >. | |
| Comment #33 by THES79 Saturday, January 14, 2012 @ 10:16:42 AM Does anybody know if you can do this at the beginning of the game (as it starts in that part) or you have to wait to some specif point in the game? | |
| Comment #34 by Nerdiemarston15 Sunday, January 15, 2012 @ 01:13:13 PM Those of you who have completed or tried to complete the trophy, have your save file been deleted or have nothing happened. because i am afraid to try and do the trophy if my save file gets deleted... If you can help me answer this and how you tried to get the trophy it would be very helpfull :) | |
| Comment #35 by comicMIKE96 Saturday, January 28, 2012 @ 08:22:44 AM when you go to calendar man on valentines day, i love it when he says "instead of smothering her with flowers and chocolates, i simply just...smothered her" lol | |
| Comment #36 by pungyo42 Monday, February 13, 2012 @ 08:14:28 PM @34 I just got that trophy today along with the platinum. i did it like the others did. change the dates manually. but i visited the guy 3 days(times)yesterday and visited him 9 more times today without any trouble. lucky me. this is how i did it; disconnecting your ps3 from internet completely(in my case pull the ethernet cable off) then go change the dates, visit him, listen to the murder stories, exit the the courthouse, wait till the game saves, quite to main menu, quit game, thn rinse and repeat. if ur afraid of ur save being deleted, try copying the file to psn+ folder or other user's folder. those copies shouldn't be affected i think. | |
| Comment #37 by grievoblivioned Sunday, February 26, 2012 @ 08:35:48 AM This is the stupidest trophy I've ever seen | |
| Comment #38 by itzknickknac Friday, March 09, 2012 @ 04:49:43 PM @35 Huh, thats interesting. Since, to me he said "..instead of smothering her with gifts. I just smothered her." I'm sure this is just for one of the playthrough's but just in case.. does anyone know if this can be done either on new game, or new game +? or it has to be done on both? | |
| Comment #39 by Halberder84 Tuesday, March 27, 2012 @ 10:40:37 AM @38 From what I've read this doesn't even affect 100% so it is not required to do at all except for the Storyteller trophy so you only need to do it once and on any game. Some people have left it for the last trophy they earn and then get it on a new file. I got this this morning just to get it out the way. | |
| Comment #40 by bulletproofcupid Wednesday, April 04, 2012 @ 06:58:27 AM Clever trophy, but a bit silly too! Reminds me of MGS, having to swich the controller to port2 to beat one of the boss's! Clever... but a bit stupid! Easy enough to get though | |
| Comment #41 by kamijordan Thursday, May 10, 2012 @ 07:14:14 PM very easy :) gonna show a video on my channel if anyone don't know how to do it... maybe on monday I'll put it check out my channel kamijordan ;) | |
| Comment #42 by SolarisPrime93 Thursday, June 21, 2012 @ 12:03:54 AM There is a trick to this. Before entering the game change the clock to the holiday farthest back from you at that point, like if June then 4th of July. Once you visit Calendar Man in the basement of the Courthouse wait for game to save, then leave game, back to the PS3 menu, change clock to next holiday. Repeat 11 times and you should have the trophy no glitch. | |
| Comment #43 by skuxx Saturday, July 28, 2012 @ 06:52:47 AM Another fast way to do this is just talk to Calander Man and then run out and save xD, you don't need to listen to him talk.. Unless you wanted too of course ;) | |
| Comment #44 by redtiger155 Wednesday, August 15, 2012 @ 08:55:23 AM That Calander Man, pretty funny guy | |
| Comment #45 by fatman19801980 Friday, December 21, 2012 @ 10:27:20 AM not moved the date, im getting the trophie on the 25th lol | |
| Comment #46 by ScottishNaturalWater Sunday, December 23, 2012 @ 02:26:55 PM If you're a PlayStation Plus member, and change the date on your PS3 to get this trophy, does your PlayStation Plus membership run down. Like, if I change the date a month forward, will I lose a month of PlayStation Plus? Probably a stupid question, but thought I'd cover my ass before I go and do it HaHa. | |
| Comment #47 by BAKEER Wednesday, December 26, 2012 @ 05:46:34 AM it's hard | |
| Comment #48 by fatman19801980 Wednesday, December 26, 2012 @ 06:01:16 AM #46 no it will on be a prob, the may glitch, ps got this trophie on xmas day, and no i dint change the day? | |
| Comment #49 by coos1972 Wednesday, January 09, 2013 @ 09:57:53 AM Well, just listen to him because some of his stories are really sick :-) SPOILER ALERT: "Daddy was baiting the hooks. With an eye, a finger or whatever was left of him..." :-) | |
| Comment #50 by coos1972 Wednesday, January 09, 2013 @ 10:03:36 AM You can read the monologues after the jump: http://batman.wikia.com/wiki/Calendar_Man_(Batman:_Arkham_City) | |
| Comment #51 by jtbball15 Monday, February 04, 2013 @ 02:13:43 PM Calendar man Dates 2013: The calendar in the game to the right of calendar man is wrong on some dates in 2013. The game lines up the date of the holiday with the current year. Thanksgiving for example, it is on the last thursday of every November and not on a specific date like christmas (December 24th). You need to quit arkham city, change your PS3 date settings, start arkham city, talk to calendar man, quit the game, change the date, etc. Do this 12 times and your done. January 1 February 14 March 17 April 1 May 13 June 16 July 4 September 2 October 31 November 28 December 25 I also just realized you can change the year to 2011, the year arkham city was released, and follow the dates on the in-game calendar to the right of calendar man lol... I did it the hard way, fin | |
| Comment #52 by kamijordan Thursday, February 28, 2013 @ 03:58:20 AM here is a video explaining the easiest way to get it | |
| Comment #53 by AlexisonFire Friday, March 01, 2013 @ 10:31:22 PM yeah will this affect your PSN plus membership? Like if changing the dates a month forward will take away a month of your membership? I don't think it would, but just to be safe can someone confirm if it's true? >.< | |
| Comment #54 by patoopalit Saturday, March 02, 2013 @ 11:22:47 PM It won't. When online, your ps3 runs on Internet time, as does your ps+ membership, so the membership cancels according to Internet time, not your custom-entered time. No worries :) | |
| Comment #55 by Vitallin Monday, March 04, 2013 @ 05:56:42 AM Calendar man Dates 2013: January 1 February 14 March 17 April 1 May 12(not 13) June 16 July 4 September 2 October 31 November 28 December 25 | |
| Comment #56 by SirPigFace Thursday, March 07, 2013 @ 01:18:32 PM thanks Vitallin, you missed 16th August though | |
| Comment #57 by nobullman Saturday, April 27, 2013 @ 04:40:43 PM #51, slightly off on your comment...Thanksgiving is always the 4th Thursday of November (which is usually the last Thursday as well, except for 2012). | |
| Comment #58 by SpadesOfDarkness Sunday, May 05, 2013 @ 01:36:53 PM I just need to wait through Mothers Day and Father's Day and I'll have 100% of the trophies. I'd prefer to do it the legit way instead of changing my dates manually. | |
