Prototypes?

Are there a limited number of them? Because i want to fight one so badly :\ I heard in the endless subterreanea there are but i haven't gotten to that part yet sadly(on majima's dead souls playthough).

Yes, they are kinda limited in numbers. They are usually the chapter/part ending bosses. They appear more frequently in Endless Subterranea, every 5 floors, but there are only two types of prototypes in there, Licker looking one and big rocky one.

you can always replay missions too.

in premium adventure, talk to the shop owner with you character of choice and then you can replay all of his missions.
