Yakuza: Dead Souls - Road Map & Trophy Guide

Looking good so far. One thing: to increase your yield on some of the trophies, you can wait until Premium Mode and start playing the Haruka's Mood game. At various times, she will ask you to eat at most of the restaurants (Vigilante Gourmet), play the gambling games (Pro Gambler, Casino Gambler), play sports (Indoor Sportsman), and so forth. I'm still working on it, but if it's anything like previous Yakuza games, you'll be running the full gamut of mini-games with Haruka, and getting useful items for it.

A quick question regarding the Hasegawa's Right Hand trophy. I've just started playing this yesterday so not very far into the game, currently at Part 1 Chapter 3 with Akiyama. At the menu it shows that I've completed 44/174 directives for Hasegawa, but Total Points and Points are still at 0P, is this normal or is my game glitched? Do I need to cash in those points with Hasegawa or something?

And thanks for the guide. I got the game early but have been waiting for a guide till I start my first playthrough.

you have to talk to her and access the rewards option, she will then give you your points.

Does anyone know what is the max level? 99 or 100? I'm tired of playing the game and I'll leave it till much later to grind out levels.

It's 99. I agree it being boring/tiring.

I didn't play the game yet, i just finished off Resident Evil:ORC yesterday and i really want to play this, however im a little sick of zombie shooting .

so im not sure if im ready to do this. but then again i love the Yakuza series and plated Yakuza 3 (twice) and 4. Which makes me ask : how frustrating is it to complete dead souls ? seems like its the only troubling trophy here.

Thanks for the guide. Looks a bit more annoying compared to Y4. Leveling up all hostesses to 20 hearts - that's just ARRRGH. I thought collecting all business cards, inviting one on a date and having one wear your present was painful enough in Y4. I thought I could puke if I saw the faces of those whores even one more time.

Winning in shogi may also be hard as the game feels so foreign. Well, at least it takes just winning and no luck-based grinding like 7 pairs in mahjong(another annoying trophy of Y4).

Overall rating is 55-70 hours though, so might come faster compared to Y4. Is this the lack of 'ultimate skill' challenges? I'm over 80 hours in 4 now and still lack 2 final ex-hard chapters to get the platinum.

By the way, is Amon as menacing as he used to be? If he is, and Premium Adventure is set to the difficulty you completed on, beating him after EX-Hard may be a tough one.

Dead Souls can be a pain for the unprepared, but thanks to Sodacat's tips for maximizing weapons and armor at the earliest opportunity there should be relatively little problems. I didn't feel the need to do any grinding and just focused solely on the story, got through the game just fine with exception of Part IV Chapter 4's annoying APC turret section because I didn't have any defense armor on at that time.

However, grinding to max level (99) for Unsurpassed Power is a very very long and boring chore. I've done everything, and still only at level 87.
