1010 Points?

Monster Hunter Frontier is awarding 1010 Gamerscore to its players. To my knowledge, this is the first time a game has awarded more than 1000 Gamerscore excluding DLC. So what do you all think of this? I'm actually more interested in the Gamerscore than the game. What would they do if this came out on PS3? Share your thoughts & opinions.

So this game is offering 10 points more than other games? That's the equivalent of two bronze trophies on a PS3 right?

Sounds pretty lame to me.

slowly but surely pretty much every original policy on gamerscore and achievements have been broken it seems. surprising to see this one, but at the same time i guess i shouldn't be.

Mass Effect has 1050G and that came out a long time ago.

Mass Effect has 1200, and 200 of them are DLC achievements.

Also, I don't know when they snuck in that DLC separation, but it made me jizz in my pants because not only is it just plain awesome to begin with that it's finally there, but it proves my point about the extra 200 without me having to find extra links about the DLC achievements being added.

The dlc came out 2 years after the game came out. I was saying the original gamerscore was 1050.

Do the math:
"There are 49 achievements with a total of 1200 points."

"DLC: Bring Down the Sky Cost: 400 MSP Achievements: 1 Points: 50"
"DLC: Pinnacle Station Cost: 400 MSP Achievements: 3 Points: 150"

50 + 150 = 200 DLC points.

1,200 total points - 200 DLC points = 1,000 base points.

The original gamerscore for Mass Effect was not 1,050.
