Buying Xbox? - Page 2

I may buy a 360 here around Christmas. But now for the 360. I'm a huge Star Wars fan, so this is a must buy.

Honestly if it wasn't for most of my friends having a 360 and always telling me to get one just so I could play CoD with them I probably would have never gotten one. It just wasn't the console for me as I'm more of an RPG guy than a FPS/TPS on top of importing a few games that aren't available in the US, I finally decided to get rid of it. If you are looking to purchase one you can more than likely find a smoking deal on a slim console or bundle off of craigslist, just make sure you know what your buying and test it out and walk away if you don't like something(its where I got my previous xbox for $200 about a month after being released with MW2,FM3, and an un used year card) TY to his GF for that LOL.

I just like to own any console, because of the exclusives. So I own a PS3, PS2, Xbox360 and a Wii. I like each one of them, but not so much the Wii though cause I hate the controllers but the PS3 and 360 I like them both.
Xbox360 and PS3 both have something better then the other, For ps3 I like how the main menu (dashboard) looks better then the 360, on the 360 your wallpaper gets covered up by all the boxes and this big grey thing but on the Ps3 you can see your whole wallpaper and I like that a lot. The Ps3 also has free online play and I love that. On the Xbox360 I like Achievement better then the trophies, I like how each achievement has points that adds an over all score.

I prefer to play online on the ps3 however i think xbox has better online features. you definetly get your $50 worth in membership fee. I only play xbox every so often though as there really isn't too many exclusives they have that intrest me besides gears of war.

If you're paying monthly, you'd better be someone who barely goes online with their 360 and is only interested in playing a game at that moment and plans to cancel when they're done with that game. Otherwise, you're a fool. Paying monthly is a ripoff, and in fact so is the normal $60 for a year plan. Xbox Live Gold 1 year cards are on sale online all the time, and the dashboard usually has 3-4 good deals on a year of Gold as well. Paying full price for Xbox Live is for suckers.

I've had a 360 before the PS3 and will always have one. I mostly game on my PS3 since I love trophies more than the features that are on the 360. That is just me. My 360 gets kicked on once and a while but will be played alot when Gears 3 is released and Forza 4. I like Forza more than GT5 due to the fact that I can customize my car in any shape and form. Well at least the shapes of the designs that are on the car.

I also kicked it one for a bit when Halo reach was release and will do the same when the anniversary edition is released. See I found games that justified my purchase for the console.

Bummer, I actually did get my Xbox for free. Some lad gave it to my dad and said if he fixed it it was his (had the RRoD). So my dad did fix it and gave it to me. I like it, I think it is okay and I'm getting used to the controller now. I hate the dash though it's just one big advertising spam. Don't like paying for online either. I got it for £1 for 1 month, then got a 3 month card for £11.99. Don't want to spend too much on it in case it dies again.

It makes sense, im going to get more games on xbox now as most my friends have Xbox and not PS3.
