If I remember correctly, there is one more upgrade for each skill (you get master at level 3 for each).

The 50 million souls is needed in one playthrough, the 10 thousand kills will carry over to you next play at whatever difficulty

Try earlier on levels as the monsters are easily killed and some missions can be spammed with the SELECT, Items, Rage technique

So how long does it actually take for one playthrough of the game?

As mentioned in StarFoxMania's other post, it's much, much easier to get through the Dungeon and Underground Hall levels (plus the 4 given trap levels) without being touched for the Can You EVER Touch Me? and Flawless Victory trophies. Being impatient and trying to do it early in the game is more difficult, if you ask me. You have to play the game through twice to get Platinum, so there's no point in rushing it.

A very easy place to get Magic Woman is in the Two Towers level, towards the end of the game. You will need to have the Ray of Light and Flash of Light magics, plus the highest health regeneration, if possible. Then you just use Ray of Light to take out the teleporting sorcerers, stopping every once in a while to use Flash of Light to kill all the little Pangos chasing you at one time. Let them hit you every so often to get rage and just run around the room if you get too low on health; the enemies will miss you almost all the time and your health will regenerate pretty quickly. Just rinse and repeat. As long as you don't swing your blades at all (don't even press the button), you will get it easily without wasting souls on rage.

I found an easy way to get the "Counter Impossible" trophy.

On the Seashell (Evening) level (near the end of the game). After you've take out the generators, you'll have Pangolin Sorcerers throwing fireballs at you... when you get one alone, hit it with an ice arrow. It will just stay frozen and you can keep slashing at it and easily get the count up to 150.

That's a good idea, I never thought of that.
