That was my point, if you can master 2 skills in a single life, and assuming you don't loose your skills when reincarnating, how come would he only have 2 mastery after his second rebirth?

You definately loose your skills but keep the stars, only as evidence you mestered that skill set once, be it in your current life, or before.

Wait, do you keep or lose the skills? From what I understood, you lose everything and like Bellamonte said, only the star will be there. Keeping everything will be too easy and demeans the significance of Mastery

You lose the skills, get reimbursed the skill points (plus extra pts for reincarnating), and retain any mastery stars you have earned.

The maximum level that you can achieve is 50; you can't go any higher than that (yet).

so if you've mastered 2 skill sets b4 you reincarnate, you'll loose all those skills but get enough points back to learn two additional skill sets (plus extra points).

My question is: Will the extra points be enough to master a third skill set?

I doubt it. You probably won't have enough skill points to master a third set until after your second reincarnation, and doing some leveling up on top of that.

I'll try to post some exact numbers later tonight, though.

EDIT: Each of the eight skill sets takes 90 points to master. The earliest that you can have 3 skill sets mastered simultaneously is at EXP level 48, after reincarnating a 2nd time. The most you can have mastered simultaneously is 4 skill sets, and that's after reaching EXP level 50 after your 4th reincarnation.
