Let's put it in perspective..

Developers don't see Trophies as E-penis enhancers, hence these choices. They see it as "play our game :D". Needless to say, parties will clash at some point.

Well I'm going to compare trophies to *gasp* 360 Achievements.

Would you rather have trophies look like achievements? Honestly, never. Getting points for doing things that you would normally do playing the game regularly is lame. Pass level 3, poof 10 points. At least trophies (so far) are interesting, since I've been gunning around in a Warhawk looking to splatter someone or megaganking a dropship. Hell, I never even LOOKED at a dropship before this patch, so kudos to trophies!

In Uncharted I have platinum, and I NEVER would have gone back and played through Crushing without the trophy incentive. Gave me a friggin migrange from the difficulty, but hey it unlocked a gold trophy AND extra bonus features within the game that I never knew existed (and they were actually interesting).

If trophies turn into achievements, I'll stop whoring them. Until then, I have 12 games preordered for the next 1 1/2 months, so let the whoring begin

Yeah if it wasent for trophies i would never have touched uncharted crushing mode. Jebus that was hard.

Well it depends on the game for me. Warhawk I am not really into. I rarely play it so yeah I would not mind whoring it as it is called. BUT games that deserve nice long playthroughs and replaying just for fun for me are worth getting trophies on my own from experiencing the game. Plus I HATE online achievements on 360 this has not changed my mind on PS3 lol.

If you get a trophy legit, than you should be estatic! Why would it diminish your sense of achievement if another person did or did not get it?

I guess since I don't take it so seriously, I have a great time earning them and a good time snagging a few with friends. You are completely missing the point if you are not having fun.

Bottomline, the $500 piece of hardware you bought should entertain you and not cause you so much anguish because of what others do.

Don't get me wrong I whored 360 points a LOT just saying games I would love to play (Fallout 3) I won't really need to whore since the trophies would come from me just playing it naturally while games like Warhawk I hardly ever play at all. I suck at it too lol.

Either way it will never be sported no matter what name it's given, although 'Trophy Hunter' does sound better than 'booster'. Just along there is no cheats(meaning by actually entering code) to get trophies only loop holes were everyone is able to get then. This is OK by me, despite how annoying it may be.
