Wanted: Weapons of fate trophy guide addendum
WANTED: WEAPONS OF FATE TROPHY GUIDE ADDENDUM
Chucknorris078 did a phenomenal job with the initial guide. However, the end was confusing to numerous readers, myself included. After reading many conflicting posts and finding little useful information from the game itself, I wrote this addendum to aid anyone else struggling to finish the last few trophies for their platinum. [Some information is compiled from previous posts.] REGARDING SIX HIDDEN TROPHIES Heart Breaker – Kill Arana with Wesley without the mask on the Killer difficulty Between Old Friends – Kill the Immortal with Cross on the Killer difficulty Punishing Subordinates – Kill the Russian with the Immortal in close combat on Killer difficulty Butcher Would Be Proud – Complete the game in ‘close combat mode’ NOTE: Completing this unlocks the playable character Nightmare! Dr. Lobotomy – Complete the game in ‘Headshot mode’ Catch Me If You Can - Get 1st position in ‘Time Attack’ Ranking The basic glitch procedure can be exploited for all six hidden trophies, but you can only UNLOCK ONE MODE TROPHY AT A TIME. This means you will have to play Act 9 a minimum of three to five times, once on each of the following: 1. The Assassin difficulty (first playthrough) (Not Recommended, but possible: can be completed in Headshot or Close Combat Mode) 2. The Killer difficulty (second playthrough) (Recommended: use the Immortal on this entire Killer playthrough, as you have to do chapter 3 with him anyway) (Not Recommended, but possible: can be completed in Headshot or Close Combat Mode) 3. Time Attack Mode (Recommended: use Cross with Act select, as Time Attack is automatically The Killer difficulty) 4. Head Shot Mode (Recommended: Pussy difficulty) 5. Close Combat Mode (Recommended: Pussy difficulty) Also, when using the glitch, the game posts a confusing warning that makes it sound like it is not saving anything. It actually is saving, but it is not a permanent save to your main game file. Wanted: WOF creates a temporary file for the specific Act you select. As long as you don’t restart the Act, quit the game, or turn off your PS3, you should be fine. This freaked me out initially; I thought if I died I would have to restart the entire level! Thankfully, I did not, and neither will you. Finally, despite misinformation in the trophy guide, the following codes are the only way to unlock certain trophy requirements; playing the game through on Killer difficulty will only unlock the Immortal character and Time Attack Mode, nothing else. You must use these codes to platinum the game: 01000011 - Unlocks Wesley character (without a Mask) 01010100 - Unlocks Cross character 01100101 - Unlocks Close Combat Mode 01100111 - Unlocks Headshot Mode (Unlocks Wesley in German version) Trophy-by-trophy breakdown is as follows.

Heart BreakerNote: Game must first be completed on both Assassin and The Killer difficulties to use Act Unlock for Act 7. Start at the Main Menu. In Secret Codes, input the following: 01000011 - Unlocks Wesley character (without a Mask) Now Start New Game. Choose any mode. IMPORTANT: Select “Play as Wesley [second from top row, left side].” If you input the code correctly, on the character selection screen you should see a closeup of Wesley’s face against a blood red background). Do NOT Select “NORMAL GAME” (Wesley/Cross)” (which is a picture of Wesley with his arms spread against a green background), and do NOT select “Play with Special Suit.” Only “Play as Wesley” will unlock the trophy. Start Act 1 of the new game. Play until the first checkpoint saves. Quit to Main Menu. Go to Unlocked Acts. Choose 7- Spiders Don’t Have Wings. Keep playing with the same Wesley character. Select “The Killer” difficulty. This is where it can be confusing. The game screen reads “UNLOCKED LEVELS. You are going to play an isolated act of the game. This is not going to affect your saved MAIN GAME and your progress won’t be saved.” Ignore this warning and CONFIRM you want to play this level. Play the level until you arrive at the boss, use the Enhanced Quick Movement (EQM) ability with between the pillars whenever Arana repels into view, then rapidly shoot her head during the slow motion sequences. The trophy should unlock during the cutscene of the Arana’s death.

EARNING TWO TROPHIES WITH ONE ACT
Between Old Friends![]() Catch me if you canNote: You must complete the game on The Killer difficulty first in order to unlock Time Attack Mode. Game must first be completed on both Assassin and The Killer difficulties to use Act Unlock for Act 9. Start at the Main Menu. In Secret Codes, input the following: 01010100 - Unlocks Cross character Start New Game. Choose Time Attack Mode The game screen now reads “TIME ATTACK MODE. In TIME ATTACK MODE the main goal is to complete the entire game as quickly as possible.” Simply CONFIRM you want to play this mode. Now Select “Play as Cross [top central position]” If you input the code correctly, you should see a torso shot of Cross holding two pistols against a black background on the character selection screen. Do NOT Select “NORMAL GAME” (Wesley/Cross)” (which is a picture of Wesley with his arms spread against a green background and a profile shot of him in the Killer Suit). Only “Play as Cross” will unlock the trophy. Now Select “The Killer” difficulty (the game locks out any other difficulty on Time Attack). Play Act 1 until the first checkpoint saves. Quit to Main Menu. Go to Unlocked Acts. Select 9- How’s Your Father? This is where it can be confusing. The game screen reads “UNLOCKED LEVELS. You are going to play an isolated act of the game. This is not going to affect your saved MAIN GAME and your progress won’t be saved.” Play the level until the end, and the trophies should unlock during the cutscene of the Immortal’s death.

Punishing SubordinatesNOTE: The game must be completed on Assassin difficulty to unlock The Immortal character. Game must first be completed on both Assassin and The Killer difficulties to use Act Unlock for Act 3. This trophy wording is confusing. To earn the trophy, simply play Act 3 as the Immortal on The Killer Difficulty. You don’t need to play the game in Close Combat Mode; just kill the Russian Butcher in Act 3. Use cover to get close to him, then use to melee kill. You only need a close combat kill on that particular enemy character; you do not need to play the whole Act in close combat mode. I recommend using the Immortal for your entire first The Killer difficulty playthrough, since changing characters resets your progress. Butcher would be proudNote: Game must first be completed on Pussy or Assassin difficulty to use Act Unlock for Act 9. Completing Act 9 on Close Combat Mode unlocks the playable character Nightmare [the hated screaming red ninja who stabs you in Acts 8-9]. Start at the Main Menu. In Secret Codes, input the following: 01100101 - Unlocks Close Combat Mode Start New Game. Choose Close Combat Mode. The game screen now reads “CLOSE COMBAT MODE In CLOSE COMBAT MODE you will be asked to kill a certain aoumonut of enemies using close quarter combat in order to proceed to the next section of the level. If you don’t, you’ll have to replay that particular section of the level.” Simply CONFIRM you want to play this mode. Now Select “Pussy” difficulty (recommended). Play Act 1 until the first checkpoint saves. Quit to Main Menu. Go to Unlocked Acts. Use the same character you did for Act 1. Select 9- How’s Your Father? Ignore the warning and CONFIRM you want to play Act 9. Do not worry about the Close Combat Mode warning; the game will not force you to replay any sections for missing melee kills, as there is no counter for close combat kills on Act 9. Shoot enemies to your heart’s content. Play the level until the end, and the trophy should unlock during the cutscene of the Immortal’s death. Dr. LobotomyNote: Game must first be completed on Pussy or Assassin difficulty to use Act Unlock for Act 9. Start at the Main Menu. In Secret Codes, input the following: 01100111 - Unlocks Headshot Mode (Unlocks Wesley in German version) Start New Game. Choose Headshot Mode. The game screen now reads “HEADSHOT MODE. In HEADSHOT MODE you will be asked to kill a certain amount of enemies using headshots in order to proceed. Do not worry about the Headshot Mode warning; the game will not force you to replay any sections for missing headshots, as there is no counter for headshots on Act 9. Shoot or stab enemies to your heart’s content. Play the level until the end, and the trophy should unlock during the cutscene of the Immortal’s death. |

Compulsive Hoarder Pest ExterminatorTWO USEFUL SITE FOR THESE HOARDER & EXTERMINATOR TROPHIES TEXT LINK FOR COLLECTIBLES GUIDE Collectibles/Explosive Rats Guide [Archive] - Xbox360Achievements.org CONCEPT ART BY NAME IN ORDER OF IN-GAME APPEARANCE Game Awards List (Collectables Guide) (Concept Art) - Xbox360Achievements.org Use the second list to see what concept art you still need, then cross-reference it to the first list to find the location of that item. For example, if you are missing Concept Art 'Weapons', count down the list to find its number (in this case, #8). Go back to the text guide and count down to the eighth concept art appearance. CA 8 appears in Act 5, part 1, just before the Brummel fight. The video guides from the trophy guide by duck360 are also helpful if you are still lost (see below). However, I found this two-point text-based cross-referencing system was faster than video when it came to pinpointing my final three items. This guide needs a lot of work, please see the Road Map and Trophy Guide FAQs in the FAQs board for further details of how to turn this into a full guide.

If you want to challenge the currently stickied guide that is fine. If you'd like to offer the author of the stickied guide these suggestions that is also fine. We can't however, leave this thread open with information on a small portion of the trophies.
I'd suggest either challenging the current guide by writing a complete new one or PMing the the current author with these suggestions. Thank you
