I've been using my Vita to play more PSP games than Vita games. The launch lineup in all honestly was mediocre. It was just a bunch of rehased PS3 games with a few new additions. They really need to localize some of the Japanese titles and start coming out with new franchise extension/new IPs for the Vita real soon.
Does anyone know where you can find a reliable release calendar for Vita games?

Even Burning Skies coming in May is a longshot there hasn't been any media on it in a while my guess is it's gonna get pushed.

Why'd you get it if there was nothing (and still is nothing) you were interested in playing? Or did you not?
Metal Gear, Zone of the Enders HD Coming to Vita Yeah, you read that right. Zone of Enders coming to Vita. Only things I found interesting for Vita are ZOE, Disgaea 3, and Rayman, and I already spend all the time on Disgaea 3 that I care to this lifetime. What do you want to see on the Vita? |

I wouldn't say that the launch games are mediocre.. I would say they launched a bit too much at the same time and now we are lucky to get one new game every two weeks in the US/UK. Its only been the first few months of the vita being out.. Its like this with every console that comes out..
There is a lot of great games out right now... Just your going to have to import for something new. New releases are coming out each week in Japan.. Some you need to know a bit to play.. Some you do not... Gravity Daze can easily be played and if you look around you can get a used copy for around $40. One Japanese game I have heard no one talking about but is great for the vita is that Mahjong game.. You can jump online and play a match any time of the day it is.. |

I just got my Vita last weekend. IMO every launch for handhelds is mediocre. Just a recent example is the 3DS. I still don't see that many great games on it yet other than the few gems, and a bunch of re-releases.
I really, really, really want an original Resident Evil game for the Vita. I wouldn't mind a port of Revelations, but an entire new game would be perfect!!!

As for like new IPs or even at least sequels/prequels, it's not uncommon for developers wanting to test out the water before jumping in. And other developers just keep an eye on it and wait to see how other games are doing on it. |

just have a look to the launch lineup of the PS3, of the 3DS, of the Super Famicom... it's always like that, always. And before the Vita came out, Sony gave us all the dates of their games to come. You knew that GRAVITY DAZE would be late in the US. You knew that you would not have many games during the first 6 months. We knew everything. Why did you buy the Vita? One of my friend has decided to wait: next year there should be plenty of games, some bundles (one Vita + one game), etc. He just did not like the first games of the lineup. He was right to wait. there are not any bad suprises, as we knew everything...so why keep complaining? I don't understand. I bought the Vita because I knew I would like the first games to come. I am a WIPEOUT fan for years now, so I bought WIPEOUT 2048. I enjoyed UNCHARTED GOLDEN ABYSS, had a lot of fun while I was looking for all the treasures without any guides. GRAVITY DAZE was fantastic! UNIT 13 is fun if you like short missions and old-fashion scoring. And I just bought SUMIONI, it's a really good game, a little short maybe, but once again there are secrets to unlock, online scoring...I like it a lot. And very soon there will be RAYMAN ORIGINS in Japan (I live in Japan), with a special price for the 25th anniversary of Ubisoft (2500 yens). I was right to wait for the Japanese version of the game. The MORTAL KOMBAT on Vita looks fun too (I didn't buy it on PS3 on purpose). And ORGARHYTHM seems original and interesting (coming this summer I guess). Of course once again I understand that many players don't like the first Vita games, I understand they don't want to wait to have a lot of new games. But as it's not a surprise at all...why did those players buy the PSVita so early?
